I once saw a school where they had this kind of fire alarm system and they actually used the fire alarm speakers to make announcements and whatnot

I was in a hotel on 10th floor and I heard a loud noise then the message played someone was smoking smh

Excellent video and awesome system! Speaking of duct detectors being in hard to reach places, I was at a building yesterday where we had to replace a few. One of the duct detectors was about 15 feet ABOVE the drop ceiling. Keep up the great work, Grant.

You should enable the page tone. Walmart stores interface their safepath systems with their phone systems and have page tones before announcement
My old middle school (Built in 1927) might be torn down, so I might ask the superintendent if I can have the fire alarm control panel, and 2 of the fire alarms. If I remember correctly, the fire alarms were Wheelock 7002T-24 Fire Alarm Horns. If I can get inside of the building this weekend, I'll try to do a test of the fire alarms.
You’d probably have better luck contacting the demolition contractor.

This might be late but you should add a specteralert classic speaker strobes.
So with the duct detector key switch tester, what is the difference between a key switch test and a simple continuity check, if that makes sense? Because it's not actually testing the "smoke detecting" capability of the detector, it's just detecting if the detector is connected, right? And if it was disconnected it would cause a trouble, so what is really the purpose of it?
Btw nice strobe pick up! And how do you switch messages and tones?
You wire the relay on the MS-9200UDLS to different sets of terminals on the SAFEPATH depending on which message you want.

Which do you prefer? EST voice evac or wheelock voice evac?
I don’t have an EST voice evac system yet, so that is a tuff call to make as I haven’t had a chance to play around with one.
S.E.R. Safety have you heard of ROBLOX? It has very realistic evacs like Siemens, est , simplex, etc
My favorite voice evacs are: EST, Fire-Lite, Cerberus Pyrotronics/Siemens, Wheelock and Silent Knight.
Mørty Shifley fire lite and silent knight are the same, and I don’t like fire lite voice evacs for copying est alarms

Duct detectors are supposed to sense smoke; there have been some that were triggered for other fumes (steam, pressurized gases)
What type of smoke detector is that one with the black dot on the smoke chamber cover?
