Just picked up a ticket to see King Diamond in Brooklyn ny. Also just scored a CD reissue of Metal Church “human factor” last weekend. May grab this live album at some point. Blessing is disguise is one of my favorite metal albums of all time.

It´s so cool they played two songs of the "Hanging..." album! I went for the regular vinyl version... I´ve seen Metal Church a bunch of times as you might guess, hahaha... all three singers included. That gig on the "Masterpeace" tour with David was not very good I have to admit... My fave gigs were on the "Blessing..." and in particular "Hanging..." albums. The King should be sitting on his throne in the studio instead of going on tour, damn it! Hahaha...

I believe this is your first time getting to see the mighty Overkill? My friends and I bought 12th row during a presale here in Cincinnati. What a triple bill. I go back to the 80s with both bands and traveled a couple of hours to see Night Demon not too long ago. Happy for you Darcy! 😊
Hi D'Arcy. Hope you are well. My Metal Church box arrived today. Yet a different layout from what use to be on various websites lol. The box lid lifts off and has this as a hangable photo frame with the In Memory Of Mike Howe image, it's not cardboard it's metal awesome ❤. Cd is a single jewel case version, no bonus tracks unfortunately. You get the book of course and a back stage pass with lanyard . Album is not a gatefold, vinyl is yellow marbled great. Both albums in cardboard sleeves with amazing artwork. Really pleased. Reaper sold out nothing on Amazon etc. I got this from HMV online at a great price £99 UK price free delivery and paying over 3 monthly payments great. Yes HIGH ROLLER RECORDS are awesome, mixture of new bands and re releases of long lost or forgotten albums. Have you heard the new Warlord album? I will get rid half of my collection. Trim the fat so to speak. Metal Church albums will stay with till I die. I found this band when they released The Dark. I have first 4 on vinyl and cd, others I own on cd. I bought that Todd La Torre album after you and think it was Metal Mickey who also praised that album and it's so good. Yeah Rat pack are a bit of an underrated label, like you say always spot on with their quality etc. Sounds like a great gig line up that one, all 3 could be headliners in their own right, hope to hear a review of the show once you've been.

Spotted the box set on Amazon UK for £77 delivered which wasn't bad as Reaper want €95. + Shipping....theirs is orange marbled vinyl , the Amazon one looks yellow, maybe it's just the pics?

I did wonder if youd buy this when I seen it advertised. The artwork is a nice continuation of previous albums but considering the reason behind the release it seems odd not to have included more Mike Howe specific images and goodies. He was certainly my favourite singer they had.

If you look in the background I had a Mike Howe picture disc on display, they also came out with a Best Of Mike Howe 2016-2021 in 2022. As with all special editions you have to act fast. New Opeth due September special edition limited edition to 300 already sold out. Luckily for me the Jethro Tull box set's from few years ago are being released this month preordered 3 of them as soon as i knew about them
Man I tried to get into King Diamond and I just cant do that voice. The music is great but man sorry that voice is just a sound I cant do. Metal Church is in my top 15 metal bands of all time.
