I would pair the black shirt with the gray or charcoal Going Places Pants and gray Going Places Blazer for a more formal look, or just the gray Going Places Pants for the less formal. Also possibility of pairing it with the cadet blue Going Places Pants and blazer for a standout, classy look.
What would I pair with a black shirt? Of course, step one is to refer to your video "Men's Black Shirts - A Guide To The Black Shirt - Wearing Black Shirt Style Tips" from 2012 (watch?v=IUHcTb6n61w). Step two would be to disregard your warning and go for the full black look and pull it off :D So that would be pairing it with probably the "Going Places 5 Pocket" pants, because I think it looks slightly better than the normal Going Places pants.
James Bond actually get his clothing from Brioni Roman Style. I know because I used to work there IT infrastructure and the Studios ordered the suit that goes for 10k each suit and dress shirt that are 800 each
You said Ministry of Supply was the same place that James Bond gets his clothes. James Bond has never worn anything from Ministry of Supply. Currently he wears a lot of Tom Ford, Brunello Cucinelli, Turnbull and Asser, Sunspel, N. Peal, Orlebar Brown, and others, but not Ministry of Supply.
Not anymore actually - I had one for modeling purposes but I was never happy with the fit (it worsened as my body changed these last 7 years). So I donated it when I cleaned house 2 years ago!
So many of my friends keep asking me how I wore a suit on holiday and now I finally have a video to show them because these are the exact things that I did! I definitely took inspiration from 007
James bond it is when the summer comes next as it is way too rainy here at my place 😁👍🏾. I would wear that awesome black shirt with a good pair of dark wash jeans, leather jacket and boots. I think it would also go well with pants and bowtie 😎
No Bond music? No real gunshot? NO BOND SUIT?!? BAD PUN OCCURS IMMEDIATELY AFTER?!?! ... Alas, the mood is dead. The potential was there Antonio, lol. But still, informative as always.
Thanks for the tips Antonio. I don't have the biggest budget to spend on clothes but I always try to buy nice clothes for the budget that I'm on and basically just pace myself to get what I can when I can.I love matching black shirts with a splash of colour. Either a light coloured tie, like a yellow tie, or a lighter coloured jacket. I have nice light blue sport coat that goes nicely with a black shirt and a red tie. I also have a bright red blazer that pairs nicely with a black shirt. Women actually seem to love the red blazer. I think it has to do with psychology. I've read a few articles that talk about how people are psychologically drawn to the colour red.
Thanks Antonio! I'd match the black shirts with: - Khaki or light grey Going Places shorts (with sleeves rolled) for a casual look outdoors in hot weather, with the smarter no-show socks - Going Places light grey pants/light grey blazer would be perfect for my social dance events
For me i will pair it with a gray Going Places Shorts in the day due to the reason that i am a short guy .I don't want to look shorter with 2 big different colour tone, night time i will consider pairing it with a blue Going Places Pant and a blue Men's Seamless Blazer just to catch some girls' eyes in a dark night in the bar .
I think i will use the light grey going places pants along with a going places blazers, but i will use a darker color for the blazer (probably charcoal). Gotta use black loafers with that,.
I love your videos, Antonio. I normally don't comment on them, but in this one, I have to. I am a James Bond fanatic and I am pretty sure that James Bond doesn't wear Ministry of Supply. In the recent movies, he mostly wore Tom Ford, which admittedly costs way too much and there are alternatives. He also included some brands like Sunspel, Prada, and other high-end designers. I am not trying to trash your video, my man, I am sure MoS is great, but they have never been in a James Bond movie and I don't recall him ever wearing the brand. It is inspired by Q though, which is cool in itself.
Mal, you are absolutely correct. I am familiar with all of the clothes that James Bond has worn and he has never worn anything from Ministry of Supply.
"Notice I didn't say Jeans. What James Bond movie does he ever wear Jeans." 3:31 during the Polo part...you kinda dropped the ball there Antonio. XD lol
I wear a lot of black and I would pair those shirts with their black pants like Going Places 5 Pocket, Going Places Pant or with their dark or light grey pants, if the style must be more formal some light grey blazer and pants. In my wardrobe i would pair them with my blue jeans and leather vest.
With a black shirt? An all-black outfit with a pair of classic sleek white sneakers can be amazing, just to add some accessories to pop-up!!! Thanks, Antonio:D
Sean Connery for the win!!! I would match the black shirt wit the cadet blue going places pants, and the cadet blue going places blazer. With a pair of brown shoes and a brown belt I would be rocking this outfit!
I think everyone is in agreement with wearing the black shirts with the light grey going places pant. I could also see it working pretty well with the cadet blue going places/5 pocket and possibly throw on the Navy blue 3D Blazer on top. I could also potentially see it working with the navy blue going places(I would have to see them together). I would also say to wear it with khakis, but I only see shorts on their website.
Since its heating up here in Dallas, I'd suggest pairing it with a pair of Going places khaki shorts with a loafer. Sleeves rolled up just to take it down a notch.
I'm still new to making outfits. However, I'd match the Apollo 3 shirt with the cadet blue going places pants and the gray argyle socks with my black Oxford shoes.
With a black shirt I would definitely go with white or grey pants and maybe a cardigan on top. Black shirts used to be my favorites but mine are all worn oit now.
One of those black shirts would look killer with one of the 3D Print Knit light grey blazers. I love that look! I'd love to get some Ministry gear eventually
Nice tips on what to wear and the video theme it's awesome everybody wants to be James Bond at least once by the way I couldn't agree more "fit is king" as you once said :)
A lot of Bond's polos and t shirts are from Sunspel, jeans and Chinos from 7 For All Mankind and Levi's, his suits and shirts are from Tom Ford, Brunello Cucinelli and Brioni, shoes from Church's and Crockett & Jones.
Those are some good ideas Antonio, I have been looking to get some clothes to wear when I go on my cruise soon,!!! I would wear the black button down shirt with a light grey pants and possibly light grey sport coat for the formal dinners.
I would have to match those black shirts with the light gray going places pant and blazer. The shoes would be a breathable black driving loafer with a touch of silver on it. To finish it, I'd wear my silver diver watch with the classic Bond NATO strap
Antonio, I’m 16. Your channel has really helped me out here and I have to say that my style was elevated significantly! Your channel is by far one of the best out there on RUclips! Thanks again! - Oscar
I loved the video and I'm a big, big Bond fan. Nicely done Antonio, but I'm wondering about the use of the word "button--down". To me that usually refers to a collar that is buttoned to the shirt. Is that correct?
Where I live it's kind of cold, so the black shirt would go great with the Dry Days Mac jacket and the going places 5 pocket pants. Maybe all in black or combined with the light grey going places pant. Man that jacket looks just like what I need!!
Update> Antonio, please accept my apologies, I'm a Medium slim. If you can get in touch with the guys at Ministry of Supply, it would be grea if they provide a size chart so users can compare measurements and buy the best fit possible. Sizing is a great deal, specially when purchasing from a new brand, on-line
One thing I've struggled with is helping guys find a quality light weight sport coat. Always struggled personally with putting together summer looks, thanks for the tips man.
You could match the black shirts with a the grey Going Places Pants and possibly a jacket of some sort. One could wear a black shirt if they work in the restaurant industry and are constantly moving around ( like me ). :)
No show socks always seem to slip down on me. I find them quite uncomfortable. I normally like merino wool socks, perhaps if I found some they would be better quality? I normally wear the no show socks with Topsiders.
Antonio is there any alternative to loafers? I don't know why but I'm not fan of those... And with items for black shirt - I'd go with light gray Going places pants for "classic" look or maybe with navy blue 3D pants because I like this kind of monochromatic look as I'm not happy with my "mid section" as you would say Antonio ;-)... but it depends on temperature too. And i would top it with blazer in same colour as pants and socks in Blue/Gray Argyle (matching pants colour).
Hey Antonio! I'd say I'd pair the black shirt with a khaki blazer and a pair of the" going places 5 pocket trousers" from Ministry of Supply. I personally enjoy the light on dark look. I'll have to get me some of the Apollos. They sound great!
XL. 17 Neck, 36 sleeve and like a 45 chest. I'm like 6'5" with long arms and am forever fighting to find shirts that fit that aren't tailored. The stretchy fabric sounds nice!
I would match the black shirt with the khaki Going Places shorts. Tan on black is a color combination that I don't think too many guys know works very well. Of course, I would also be wearing no show socks with a pair of summer loafers, and I would be rocking a fun fabric belt.
Hey Antonio! I thought the video was great! It was a logical presentation and this clothing line has some of the exact things I have been looking for! As a lighter complexioned man with dark hair, I would pair the black shirt with some medium dark jeans and the Light Grey Men's Seamless Blazer. I would probably spike my hair to be more casual than my normal business look, and wear the top button undone. The blazer would function more as a cardigan and this would be to mirror a look I've seen on Matt Bomer, who's build and complexion are not dissimilar to mine.
hello Antonio ,Alex from Southern California ,I would match the black shirt with tan Chino's or shorts with my driver's shoes. for dress up would throw in some like color trousers, maybe some patterns in slacks, I almost forgot to incorporate blue jeans with that black shirt as well I love how it looks either with dress shoes or drivers works well. a shout-out goes to Antonio for these awesome videos ,keep up the good work,
Great video Antonio👍👍 I would personally match the black shirt with the heathered charcoal going places pant and to finish it off I would go with the black double monk and black anson belt with a gun metal buckle and of course you can't forget the Walter PPK!
www.realmenrealstyle.com/james-bond-style-guide/ - Click here to read the article - James Bond Summer Style
I would pair the black shirt with the Going Places light grey pant. I might also like to pair it with the Charcoal Heather pant.
another useful video.. thanks Antonio
I would pair the black shirt with the gray or charcoal Going Places Pants and gray Going Places Blazer for a more formal look, or just the gray Going Places Pants for the less formal. Also possibility of pairing it with the cadet blue Going Places Pants and blazer for a standout, classy look.

Real Men Real Style. Cadet blue shorts or pants and also a fan of the charcoal heather pant with the black shirt 👍
James Bond actually get his clothing from Brioni Roman Style. I know because I used to work there IT infrastructure and the Studios ordered the suit that goes for 10k each suit and dress shirt that are 800 each
Thanks for sharing this!
I think Casino Royale was the last one with Brioni though. That since then his suits have been Tom Ford.
Anthony Sforza or Cucinelli
You said Ministry of Supply was the same place that James Bond gets his clothes. James Bond has never worn anything from Ministry of Supply. Currently he wears a lot of Tom Ford, Brunello Cucinelli, Turnbull and Asser, Sunspel, N. Peal, Orlebar Brown, and others, but not Ministry of Supply.
Haha that intro. You should've worn a tuxedo
Darn it - I should've worn a Tuxedo!
I Really appreciate your channel ant!,Thank you!
I agree it should have been a perfect fit, also(correct me if I'm wrong) the first time Antonio would wear a Tuxedo in a video :)
Not anymore actually - I had one for modeling purposes but I was never happy with the fit (it worsened as my body changed these last 7 years). So I donated it when I cleaned house 2 years ago!
SuitSupply tux. Great fabric, fit and.... function! Don't take my word for it, ask our pal Aaron.
So many of my friends keep asking me how I wore a suit on holiday and now I finally have a video to show them because these are the exact things that I did! I definitely took inspiration from 007
Aaron has Tiege Hanley jokes
Jose has Jose is the kinda zunigga jokes
Guys we need to come up with sumthn creative for Antonio !
Haha!
Antonio, the stylish guy that at summer takes sunbaths in a suit! :D
R S please dont those RUclips channel comments are cancer
R S no he doesn't need those stupid comments
I wish I had 007's money.
He uses the government's money. So he's not rich either. :-)
I never thought of that.
Fun fact: accounting for inflation, James Bond earns £47000, or about $60000 P.A. So he's doing okay, but he's not too rich.
Eric Von Wedel I wish I had his women.
He comes from a wealthy background and definitely earns overtime
Black shirt with the light grey Going Place Pants. That is the perfect match
Indeed.
Zsolt or beige trousers and a dark blue Shirt
Never black in the summer
That light colored blazer with the white shirt like Daniel Craig wears @5:34 is classy casual. A nice look.
Big fan of Bond, thanks for the video! What about the suits of Hannibal Lecter from NBC's Hannibal? Pls do that!
That's for another video :)
James bond it is when the summer comes next as it is way too rainy here at my place 😁👍🏾.
I would wear that awesome black shirt with a good pair of dark wash jeans, leather jacket and boots. I think it would also go well with pants and bowtie 😎
*james bond intro tune*....
Bang!! Did i get ya?"
Absolutely
Black Shirt with the khaki shorts. Very simple but still so stylish.
I'm a huge fan of your Videos :)
Greetings from Germany!
That Apollo 3 looks pretty awesome, hard for some to drop $100+ on a shirt though.
A polyester shirt no less.
I'm a simple man, I see RMRS I hit that like button.
i like what you have suggested expect the sweater i live in florida when the sun goes down it never drops that low it is still hot and humid.
No Bond music? No real gunshot? NO BOND SUIT?!? BAD PUN OCCURS IMMEDIATELY AFTER?!?! ... Alas, the mood is dead.
The potential was there Antonio, lol. But still, informative as always.
Copyright issues on the music - I was flagged years ago for doing that...............and I avoided the suit on purpose!
Thanks for the tips Antonio. I don't have the biggest budget to spend on clothes but I always try to buy nice clothes for the budget that I'm on and basically just pace myself to get what I can when I can.I love matching black shirts with a splash of colour. Might be the best intro ever!
You rock!
I think a black dress shirt looks really cool with a simple brown suit!
Black polo with grey slacks or dark Wranglers. I love black polo shirts.
You are awesome that you promote not to spend too much on expensive stuff. You are awesome.
Thanks Antonio!
I'd match the black shirts with:
- Khaki or light grey Going Places shorts (with sleeves rolled) for a casual look outdoors in hot weather, with the smarter no-show socks
- Going Places light grey pants/light grey blazer would be perfect for my social dance events
Good choices - what shirt size do you wear?
Real Men Real Style
I've learned from the best ;)
I would get a standard Large size and get it tweaked by a tailor!
Thanks; I've learned from the best ;)
Given sizing, I believe I'm a Large!
Yes 03:36 I have that exact polo from Casino Royale in dark blue, the Riviera Polo by Sunspel
I would love to use that black shirt for my concert attire which is all black, but still gotta look sharp.
I think i will use the light grey going places pants along with a going places blazers, but i will use a darker color for the blazer (probably charcoal). Gotta use black loafers with that,.
These colors work well. Very James Bond style.
awesome video.Antonio we need more videos like this.Great content.😀😇😘
Thanks for watching Mir Bond.
I love your videos, Antonio. I normally don't comment on them, but in this one, I have to. I am a James Bond fanatic and I am pretty sure that James Bond doesn't wear Ministry of Supply. I like this combo!
Vlad - Solid answer. What is your shirt size?
My size is M.
I would match those black shirts with the light grey Going Places Pant, this combination would look great with my medium skin complexion.
Good combination Simon.
I think everyone is in agreement with wearing the black shirts with the light grey going places pant. That works too!
Learned a lot from your videos, keep up the great work👍👌
Thanks for the support!
More than anything else, James nailed the impeccable fit. Without it, even the most expensive suits look like crap.
Great video! Black shirt with medium grey pants
Antonio for warm humid weather do you think it would be more comfortable with a pair of suede boots or a pair of brogues?
once again you knocked it out of the park. Thanks again for the great video.
Are there any other brands preferably more affordable ones that sell 'performance' clothing? I would appreciate any recommendations.
not sure with what color of trousers to match the black shirt with.. thinking of charcoal grey pants.. will that work?
very useful video Antonio
And wow they got a free world-wide shipping
Another great video Antonio. Thanks again :)
You're welcome!
With a black shirt I would definitely go with white or grey pants and maybe a cardigan on top.
Black shirts used to be my favorites but mine are all worn oit now.
One of those black shirts would look killer with one of the 3D Print Knit light grey blazers. I love that look! I'd love to get some Ministry gear eventually
how do you ensure mail order clothing fits your body properly?
Nice tips on what to wear and the video theme it's awesome everybody wants to be James Bond at least once by the way I couldn't agree more "fit is king" as you once said :)
Exactly!
I would match them with a contrasting colored pants.
Great video Antonio, RMRS is the real deal.
A lot of Bond's polos and t shirts are from Sunspel, jeans and Chinos from 7 For All Mankind and Levi's, his suits and shirts are from Tom Ford, Brunello Cucinelli and Brioni, shoes from Church's and Crockett & Jones.
I would go for an all Black look: combined with the going places pants and bomber it would look great with some loafers and no-see-socks.
plz can you make a video on hair style and the beard which looks good with that hair style ...
Those are some good ideas Antonio, I have been looking to get some clothes to wear when I go on my cruise soon,!!! I would wear the black button down shirt with a light grey pants and possibly light grey sport coat for the formal dinners.
I find your videos so relaxing! You´re an amazing speaker!
I would have to match those black shirts with the light gray going places pant and blazer. The shoes would be a breathable black driving loafer with a touch of silver on it. To finish it, I'd wear my silver diver watch with the classic Bond NATO strap
That intro was fantastic!!!
What brand and model is the watch at the :22 mark? I like it. Thank you. Great work.
Bo,y did I learn a lot!! look foreword to more of this.
Thanks, Antonio!
as for the Shirts, probably with dark Blue Going places Pants and the dark seamless Blazer.although black is very hard to match.
hi Antonio you should do a video about how to by cloth for custom tailored shirts
The video I've been waiting for! :) Thanks Antonio
I love wearing black. I'd pair the shirt with the Going Places light grey pants and finish with some nice black chelsea boots
Is it strange I'm 10 years old and watching this?
Well, if RUclips dies then I guess this will prepare me for adulthood.
Farhan Humoud good for you kid
Antonio, I would put that black shirt with the light gray Going Places pant. Maybe a black Light Layer Jacket but that might be too much black up top.
Light colored jacket would work better for this combo :)
Great energy in this video Antonio
Thank you sir!
hey man i am a marine too i know your out but i love your stuff you and aaron inspired me to start my own thanks
Good video, little thing when you speak about units of measurements can you say them in metric too?
damn right on that Houston heat, don't miss that one bit. Weather does deter from wearing from wearing a nice set of threads sometimes.
Nice video Antonio! I would wear the black shirt with going places pant and Men's Seamless Blazer both in grey , along with my aviators sunglasses!
I like it!
Pedro - What is your shirt size?
Antonio my shirt size is L
niceeeeeeee... excellent video Antonio
Antonio, I’m 16. Your channel has really helped me out here and I have to say that my style was elevated significantly! Your channel is by far one of the best out there on RUclips! Thanks again!
- Oscar
Awesome - thanks Oscar!
Good combo!
Leo - What is your shirt size?
Real Men Real Style yes, absolutely!
Real Men Real Style small
Update> Antonio, please accept my apologies, I'm a Medium slim. If you can get in touch with the guys at Ministry of Supply, it would be grea if they provide a size chart so users can compare measurements and buy the best fit possible. Sizing is a great deal, specially when purchasing from a new brand, on-line
Another great video! You look awesome in that black shirt Antonio
Thank you Sandeep!
One thing I've struggled with is helping guys find a quality light weight sport coat. Always struggled personally with putting together summer looks, thanks for the tips man.
You're welcome!
Great video with a lot of options Antonio! Thank you for these videos!
Thank you for watching!
You could match the black shirts with a the grey Going Places Pants and possibly a jacket of some sort. One could wear a black shirt if they work in the restaurant industry and are constantly moving around ( like me ). :)
A light colored jacket for sure.
No show socks always seem to slip down on me. I find them quite uncomfortable. I normally like merino wool socks, perhaps if I found some they would be better quality? I normally wear the no show socks with Topsiders.
Great vid antonio, can you make a vid on formal evening wear like Tuxedo or even black tie? Thanks!
Have you seen this? www.realmenrealstyle.com/visual-guide-to-tuxedo/
Great video Antonio!!
Thanks Edward!
I will pair it with Going Places Shorts (Navy) + Brown Loafer!
Nice!
Don't forget the classic rayban wayfarer too
supposedly i shared my opinion would you send it outside the USA ?
Being a James Bond fan, I enjoyed that very much and informative as always.
I Remember I Purchased My First Tailored 3 Piece Suit After Watching From Russia With Love !
Intro was cool!
Wingtips or Double Monks :)
Loved the idea...
You got a great team with good ideas and some aspects are brilliant
Hey Antonio! I'd say I'd pair the black shirt with a khaki blazer and a pair of the" going places 5 pocket trousers" from Ministry of Supply. I personally enjoy the light on dark look. I'll have to get me some of the Apollos. They sound great!
Super! Trey - what shirt size do you wear?
XL. 17 Neck, 36 sleeve and like a 45 chest. I'm like 6'5" with long arms and am forever fighting to find shirts that fit that aren't tailored. The stretchy fabric sounds nice!
Real Men Real Style XL! So does this mean I won one of the shirts?
another killer video Antonio
Thanks George!
This look really is one of the best looks
I would match the black shirt with the khaki Going Places shorts. Tan on black is a color combination that I don't think too many guys know works very well. Of course, I would also be wearing no show socks with a pair of summer loafers, and I would be rocking a fun fabric belt.
It does work - good choice Chris!
yeaaaaah can't wait to watch at lunch
Awesome! Let me know what you think Seth.
Super! What shirt size do you wear?
Real Men Real Style Medium! 15 1/2 ish collar
Real Men Real Style I can get other measurements if needed
Except for #10 it is basically a list of things every man should have.
hello Antonio ,Alex from Southern California ,I would match the black shirt with tan Chino's or shorts with my driver's shoes.
for dress up would throw in some like color trousers, maybe some patterns in slacks, I almost forgot to incorporate blue jeans with that black shirt as well I love how it looks either with dress shoes or drivers works well.
a shout-out goes to Antonio for these awesome videos ,keep up the good work,
I like the mix and match combination.
Alex - Solid answer. What shirt size do you weaR?
Real Men Real Style hi Antonio Alex from Southern California, my shirt size is 16 1/2 ×32.
Great video Antonio👍👍
I would personally match the black shirt with the heathered charcoal going places pant and to finish it off I would go with the black double monk and black anson belt with a gun metal buckle and of course you can't forget the Walter PPK!
personally, Antonio. I would want the gadgets Q supplied except for a shoe phone, that I would like to get from Maxwell Smart.
yeah ! those polos r great.
