Love the thunderbird went a complete tour several years ago! This was owned by George Whittell was fascinated by planes, automobiles, and boats . He owned DC -2 Grumman goose seaplane . This Thunderbird was a elegant wooden vessel, commissioned by Whittell specifically forLake Tahoe .He lived at the Thunderbird house and became a recluse. He broke his hip and refused surgery and ended up in a wheelchair ! He died of melanoma on April 18th 1969. Please goole him for more interesting facts😎
The lake certainly has risen since your last paddle with Bella. Penny is doing so well. Hope she is up to diving for rocks real soon. 😊 Hope your Holiday weekend is adventures full and fun.
That was an amazing 4 miles! I wish that you had promised me a ride on beautiful Lake Tahoe! I guess that I would have to have surgery to earn that trip as well?
I lived in Incline Village in 1985. Used to water ski up the east side early in the morning because it was usually glassy. The freaky thing was as you got closer to shore and started skiing over the rocky areas you couldn't tell if you were in two feet of water or twenty five feet. Water was always so crystal clear. We always kept it safe but it was an adrenaline rush. Thanks for the video.
Your lupine has certainly multiplied! It's great to see Penny enjoying her paddleboard time with you. That's a great way to start the day. Thank you for the tour. It's going to be a wild 4 day weekend here in the Sierra's. Have a great 4th of July!💕✌️🇺🇲🎉🎊
So thankful that Penny has healed up. What a treat she had today. Love chimney beach. Haven’t been in years. The water is just gorgeous right now. Thanks for sharing today.
Thank you and Penny for sharing your adventure with us. I can only imagine the sensation of paddling over those large water-covered boulders. Enjoyed every second and will again revisit this beautiful setting. So happy Penny is doing well. Stay safe!!
Beautiful morning is right! I remember discovering that chimney and wondering about the early settlers there. It must have been heaven. Penny is so chill! Glad she’s doing so well.

hahaha, love it!
Final note because George Whittell buying all most the entire east shore it saved it from development! 😎
What a beautiful morning indeed... Such a lovely spot. 😊✌️
thanks for your comment!
Thanks for the heads up about the pollen drop. We’re about to hit E-Bay Boat Camp for the week after the 4th. ❤

I agree east side is the best ! No all those stupid mega houses on west side !
yup
That is a very nice way to wake up
agreed!
Is chimney beach south or north of Deadman Point? I get the coves and beaches between Cave Rock and Sand Harbor all confused. 😂
Chimney beach would be north. Lot of coves!
Oh I just saw where you guys are hahaha
glad you found it!
Awesome SUP session by the lake! Wonder hows the water temp, is it still chilly to swim?
I believe it is around 60F. Swimmable but not for super long.
Can someone please tell me how to get to this specific spot? And the trail u took to the that specific area of clear water?
The easiest way would be start at sand harbor and then paddle south along the lakeshore. Hopefully that helps.
my dog wont go near any water
Fair enough, to each their own I guess.
DI DI DI DI DI DI DI DI DI

thanks for your kind words!
Hello you ❤❤❤
good day mate!
WOW you live in a little piece of Heaven, God's Beautiful Design
we do feel very fortunate!
What trail to the lake is that? I wanna take my dog to the lake but want a semi secluded place to take her.
Unfortunately it isn't really secluded anymore. Key would be just to go early in the morning. Then you can choose to leave once it gets too busy.
I have tripped planned to Tahoe , to get away from the noise in Miami
enjoy!
So pretty❤❤❤
Thanks Kat!

Thanks Paul, she is doing great!
No idea what it takes but a camera underneath about mid ship would be kool in that water.
hmmm. Great idea!
