- Following the close of a galaxy-spanning war, the members of FIXER, a slapdash special forces team, are no longer needed. Washed up and no longer having a purpose, they now find themselves sent on useless mission after useless mission. They pass their time by complaining and doing whatever they can to stave off boredom. However, on this newest assignment they slowly and unwittingly begin to uncover a strange mystery. Each member will be tested -whether by sheer monotony and boredom of military life or else by the unfathomable dangers lurking just beneath.

Amazing job so far!
Love the series! Great work!
I think you are able to make a career outta this. Good work, have a nice voicing career!
you (and probably peanut) made us nosebleed with your performance\
Not gonna lie, Pops holding an armor locked Target like a rocket launcher was unintentionally funny to me.

"Looks like the clown college to Helljumper pipeline is still intact."
Love it. Feels like some real military talk you'd hear in-universe.
Love the deepening mystery and further hints towards characters' backstories.
I loved that line too. To be fair you’d have to be at least a little unhinged for the idea of dropping from orbit in a tin can behind enemy lines with no support to sound appealing
@@finncampbell4662 I mean, they probably said the same thing about paratroopers jumping out of planes while being shot at when someone first came up with the idea
I hope you realize that this one episode alone is as long as half a red vs blue season. 3 months for this much is very impressive.
Honestly i think the episodes could be trimmed down a tad so it can have a bit more of a bite-sized entertainment to it
@@YoungMrBlue I think given the more story-driven style, the episode length runtime fits, though this one was certainly on the longer end, I still enjoyed it.
I think you both have a point. 40 minutes is a bit intimidating for a time investment, but the story needs some run time to breath and put plot points together. I'm guessing this is why most TV shows run 25-30 minute run lengths.
"Your eh, your the president of piss?" The delivery of that line killed me 😂
I love this series, but a lot of the jokes dont really hit. That was one of the ones that made me snort out loud tho, that and the dead cat comment. I wasn't expecting that one lol. I most watch the show cause its chill, and very mysterious, and it makes me so happy that the quality of each episode keeps going up!
I was watching this for the first time yesterday and I walked in just as duke said that, it was very out of context when I walked in 😂

My heart actually broke for Duke this episode. I lost someone in my life and never got to hear them say they were proud of me for the big moments in my life.
I'm really sorry to hear that.
I wrote that story directly taken from my own experience.
Keep going strong, friend.
*hug*
same here brother/sister same here
you just need to know they would have been very proud of you in each and everyone of those moments
they may be gone in body but they are there in spirits
Lily and Target are adorable omfg
so real
Ah, finally found a comment mentioning it! They seem like two kind souls that fit well together.
I loved the character development there too
I know right didn't expect that but their chemistry tho
yessssssss
I’m still in aw at the story. We keep getting all these pieces that somehow fit together and yet we have no idea what direction it’s going. What is with Sam and the weird AI. What is with lily having all this advanced training? Who was crash calling? What’s with the invisible thing? Why is pops so hesitant to tell his story. Who shocked target. Who is this mystery pilot that picked up target. Who is farsight and why is he spying on fixer. I love the plot so much. You’re not afraid to let us wonder and think about it. Especially because you don’t patronize the audience. You do a great job of show don’t tell. Good job b00mrang, can’t wait to see more.
The new AI (Calling her EVE for now, because her eyes remind me of the EVE from WALL-E) called out for Jack. I'm guessing she's referring to Jack Harper, Spectre Squad's captain from the water treatment plant. Surprising to see their remains all the way out there. Perhaps something happened at the base during the war and Harper took EVE with him so the Covenant wouldn't get ahold of her. That WAS a big UNSC rule.
If EVE is a surveillance AI, then those flickering ghost effects throughout the base are probably of Spectre Squad when THEY were here. It's likely the security camera system's existing footage somehow being projected holographically. It would also explain the replay of Crash that Izzy saw.
@@theholygamer969 thats the best explanation i've ever read
It makes a lot of sense
@theholygamer969, the unsc rule you're talking about is the Cole Protocol
@@androxtempest3913 The Cole Protocol specifies shipboard AI if I recall correctly. It was a Navy protocol after all.
You know shit gets serious when they put the guns down.
For me, when the guns stop firing, the cold comes in, as everyone sees the destruction that was made.
WAIT! That AI was calling for Jack! Jack Harper, Spectre Squad's CO! That must be the guy we've been seeing in those holographic flickers! They're the surveillance AI's residual memories of existing security footage of Harper being projected in real-time!
Now we just need to figure out THEIR story.
But what about the holographic recording of crash at the end of episode 5
I'm glad the Ai took inspiration from the superintendant AI in Halo ODST, I love that lil guy. I also get the feeling this new Ai is going to learn A LOT from these characters, since all she can do is watch them. She might even ask them for help once she feels comfortable enough to, yeah I think that's whats gnna happen
@justintoomey5272 I think the security camera system can take its existing footage and project it as a hologram.
But what is in this facility? What was so important for torrets SAMMY was protecting?
@carloseduardopinto532 Guess we'll have to wait and see for now. Not enough information.
Pops being the absolute unit of a goat carrying target like nothing is the funniest image 😂
"Why don't you carry Target and i carry the much lighter thingimagig" i was honestly expecting the cut to switch to him carrying target
As someone who's watched RvB for the last 16 years, CRASH has continued to blow me away. Didn't think this level of drama and intrigue was possible in machinmation, but I am continously proven wrong. Keep up the awesome work!!!
I just noticed something. When the AI first activates at 26:50, they ask for "Jack" before freaking out when SAMMY talks to them.
In episode 5, the body Pops and Crash discover was identified as a "Captain Jack Harper of Spectre Squad".
What if Jack knew someone was trying to kill him, so.offloaded this AI into the drive and hid it before his demise? Then after a few months, the distress signal activates and Target, for whatever reason, is the only one who picks it up? His Armor Locks up either from the AI accidentally overloading his system, or from someone trying to keep him from reporting this stuff.
It's a very flimsy theory, I know. What's definitely certain, however, is that Fixer Squad has stumbled into something a whole lot bigger than them.
The Farside transmission DrAmazing references a Head of Security Harper too.
The callsign “OCT” is consistent with the “OCT Core Missing” label that appears frequently in the surveillance logs.
Presumably, the backrooms and the storage containers are monitored by an AI (by the looks of it, one similar to the New Mombasa City AI from ODST?). Harper must’ve taken the AI.
But why? And if OCT is a “dumb” AI, why does it express such a wide range of emotions?
And if it’s a Smart AI- who would use a Smart AI to monitor an old SAM site? Who is the AI based on?
@@revolutionstudios5052 And dont the Smart Ai's in the halo universe usually have a physical "body" they can project themselves as? Or perhaps this Ai will at some point but just not now.
@@owl9130 well, they need projector to make this body, so i guess there isn't one to manifest it.
But what is in this facility? What was so important for torrets SAMMY was protecting?
This time on Crash:
The hauntings continue
The fact, that you moded a grenade launcher as a Target for the beginning to work is so funny.
"Curse you pipe! You failed me again!" + 2 ships coming to life in a single episode. Oh boy! This is pure gold!

@@bob9vxt582 Wait that one scene that was really depressing? uuuh, I dont know if I would consider that a shippy moment lol.

Really enjoying this series. Seriously find myself eagerly waiting for each new installment
I love it. I find this to be a great spiritual successor to red vs blue.
I can’t believe Ada’s art is just making this happen lmao. She must ecstatic 💀.
These episodes have a cozy quality to them that I can’t quite describe. The bonfire scene is so good for the atmosphere and character building, and Duke going off alone afterwards is just so sad to see
Yeah, Duke's story starts wholesome and ends with a tragic whiplash. At least he had a good memory with his dad before his dad died. That part alone made me love Duke even more.
I also think Crash has someone dear to him he misses cause that hour long internet time for a private call has to mean something important
@@ReiseLukas and considering that Izzy didn't joke about it with Duke is telling, that it was something really serious, but also very personal.
Best episode so far! And Lilly and Target are even cuter together than I expected! The chemistry is UNREAL! Definitely my favorite part of the episode. Keep it up BOOmrang!
True!!!
Wes and Lily being ONI agents who performe some secret investigation would fit them really well, Lily being combat expert, while Wes is master detective, would explain a lot about them what we know so far, like Lily being a really good soldier and Wes being always grumpy and irritated at everything.
There are quite a few shots in here that make Lilly look hidden, obscured, or separate. I swear if my favorite adorable little deadly soldier turns out to be evil or something, I'm gonna flip.
I honestly think she's either a robot, or a secret plant from higher-up.
Honestly, I suspect both Liliy and Wes are from ONI investigating recent activity from FARSIDE. Just a theory though...
@@moisesfavela2189 I can't see Wes being part of FARSIDE....

I wonder what happened to Peanut. I can't imagine he was this level of crazy the entire war. Maybe he got hurt on their last dangerous mission, and the entire team got relegated to milk runs and guard duty once the war was over?
It IS an AI!!!
Gettin' all Portal up in this house!
23:43 Man Target's such a sweetheart and a real hero, even if he doesn't think things through that often.
I think this has been my favorite episode so far. I love how the characters are starting to get fleshed out with Duke struggling with his addiction and Pops sharing some of his stories. Loved how everyone is starting to get a little paranoid and the voice acting is phenomenal. The animations were really good and I hope to see more.
You guys have made something really special and I can't wait to see more!
Wow, this episode is incredible, and I don't just mean the higher quality and animation.
Got to be honest, that part where Duke talks about him and his dad was so wholesome and then the emotion hit me like a truck, the ending actually made me cry. I wasn't expecting Duke to open up like that and this episode just made me love him all the more.
Crash spending an hour on the internet for a private call must mean there's someone out their he cares deeply about and misses. Every character is feeling more real with each episode and I'm so glad I discovered this show a year ago.
Take your time B00M and do the best work on this story you can. This episode made it more clear than ever that this show is going down a great path, and I can't wait to see where it goes next.
"you're the president of p.i.s.s."
Once again, this series proves to be one of the best things going today. Everything continues to be spot-on perfect, and well worth the wait. The dynamic with all of these characters is so excellently written, and with this being the first time they all really get to engage with one another, especially after the insanity of Episode 5, it made for some really great interactions. The mystery of Farside, what happened to Target and all the other pieces of the puzzle integrated with some serious character and world building is so outstanding. Man the mod work for this was unreal. I would have just been satisfied with time of day changes, but full on poses and the animations of the characters... wow. Absolutely stellar work, thank you B00m and everyone working on this.
Man the ending to this one hit hard. Well done on the writing and the animating and big props to the voices.
*picks up target* LOL.
@artherline he’s carrying him like he’s a rocket launcher, look how they’re disrespecting my boy.
@@williamaleers7941 how is that direspect? rocket launchers are the SHIIIIIIIIT, just ask Duke
40:33 WOW its amazing how just a change in model can make a scene feel impactful
Armor lock is always a fun thing to think about until you realise how horrifying it would be for a soldier to be paralyzed and locked up like that
If such tech was implemented in real life I think soldiers would have to be tested for claustrophobia before being permitted to wear such armor
In real life it would be constantly monitored remotely coz some boot is gonna armor lock their Sgt Major
This is peak fan content. The dialogue, the setting, the story. All perfect 🎉
And now we've got more dynamic character animations. Holy shit, it's growing and it's growing fast!
So, some notes after watching this episode:
1. I love the perspective of seeing things from the Halo games from the perspective of people who weren't there, like the existence of the portal to the Ark or the glassing of Africa to stop the Flood.
2. The interaction between Target and Lilly is cute. And my hunch about Lilly's skills is coming more and more true.
3. The effects for the different weather conditions and times of day are way better than the majority of Halo Machinimas. Also a lot more subtle and less oversaturated or desaturated. I also see that a lot of it is mods, but that's not a bad thing when it comes to making Machinima.
4. Crash and Izzy's banter is on point. They have just the right amount of wit to keep up with each other, but are not so crazy that they're in a completely different wavelength of thought unlike everyone else in Fixer. Seem the most like an old married couple as far as that dynamic goes.
5. You continue to impress me with the mentions of other lore bits from Halo canon. The connection to canon makes me so excited.
6. Melodrama is also on point as much as the humor and overall plot. I'm loving seeing the characters become more and more clear just from talking to each other without jabbing or beating each other down. Could see a real team form that'll go through hell and back for each other with enough time. Just like how the Reds and Blues were in the end.
Anyway, can't wait for the next episode, B00mrang, no matter how long it takes! And thanks for clearing up any confusion on points that can't be left for later episodes. I know how easy it can be to slip up on spoilers for later episodes accidentally.
Edit: I have a theory that part of what made Izzy change her tune towards Duke has to do with listening to Crash's recordings. If I were to guess, they have something to do with his last unit and how he got the way he was.
Did a really good job getting the animated sections to match the rendering of halo 3, and even the head bob when they talked. Nicely done, basically still felt like watching halo 3 theater mode.
That's because all of this was made in Halo 3s engine. The animations were custom cutscenes the same as how the campaign cutscenes work in game.
It WAS in Halo 3 theater
@@blazingb00mrang Ah that is miraculous, I was wondering if that was possible but didn't bring it up because I hadn't really seen custom animations in any of the mods I've seen. Really great work. At lot less jarring than say the transitions to custom animations back in RvB.
Keep it up, can't wait to see where the story goes.

glad to see Target once more. it's great to see his good nature personality, great to find him back with Fixer squad once again. I truly mean it.
Can't even lie, I had to do a double-take when I saw Duke with his arms down. This is definitely my favorite episode so far, great work man 👍
Just wanted to say 2 things
1. AMAZING SCRIPT AND AMAZING VOICE ACTORS LIKE HOLY SHIIII :O
2. Lily sounds pattable as heck ngl
I work nights and I have a long shift ahead of me, but I am absolutely okay with losing sleep if it means getting to watch this new episode
This is a great episode but my favorite scene from this is Lily and Targets conversation, it was just so wholesome
I uhhh, didn't expect to get hit so hard with this. I picked up and struggled with alcohol alot in the military, and even though I'm mostly off it now, I still drink something small at least once a day. Its a very real feeling and the animation there almost exactly mimicked more than one day alone in my barracks. It makes me sad to see myself and knowing that others are the way I was even right now, but it also makes me rather proud of how far I have come. In the same breath, fuck you and thank you. In all honestly I was watching this in passing because of RVB and nostalgia but you have made a permeant fan of me. Cant wait to see more
Bro wake up new Crash episode just dropped
And everyone is REALLY traumatized this time around
the sheer switch from "sorry cant let you through" to "eh fuck it, go through"

Your production quality is genuinely astounding, I have NEVER seen anything like this before, I think many could reasonably say this is the most high quality Machinima to ever exist.
“The hard part about watching CRASH is that you eventually run out of episodes to watch.”
-Margaret Thatcher
As someone who's been here since episode 1, I'm so excited to see the insanely quick progression in quality for this series. The animations for the individual characters sitting and moving, the surprisingly deep character writing since day 1, who just get more and more interesting with every episode. CRASH has done an amazing job filling the hole in the hearts of many that Rooster Teeth and the later seasons of Red Vs Blue left. Sure, each episode takes a long time to come out, but I, and I'm sure many others, can see the insane amount of love and care put into each and every scene. It's still rough around the edges, of course, but it has that oldschool Red Vs Blue charm to its roughness. Thank you B00mrang, for capturing that spark that Red Vs Blue lost. I can't wait to see the roaring fire that comes from the passion you and your crew put into this series.
I hope the boys at rooster teeth see this series, it’s so damn good
Honestly, the quality of this show is what made the old timely halo machinimas amazing to watch. You don't see many of these kinds of high quality of shows anymore on YT these days, but it's always an amazing time when finding one like this every now and then!

I don't comment often, and haven't on any of the previous vids from this series, that I can remember, but EVERY MOMENT past the 35 minute mark?! Basically right at 35:26?! Incredible. Breathtaking. HUGE improvements to character development, emotional impact, and animation. Honestly, felt like a revival of what made me fall in love with Monty Oum's original animation and work. The mystery that is working its way into the story is really making me curious where all this is going too. Best Halo Machinima I have seen in YEARS. I agree with the goals you are clearly shooting for to revive/keep alive this art that was such a big part of many of our early lives. Keep going! You're doing great work guys.

Well, I'm definitely late to the party with this one. A big, abrupt move happened during the release of this video, and I was working on helping getting the house settled.
The production of each episode keeps getting better, and better. This was 3 months worth the wait! I absolutely adore the attentions to details made possible by modding (High Ground shifting different times of day, the Tsavo Highway map, the characters sitting around in chairs), it all pays off dividends to capture the feel of what's going on. Each character holds good weight in the story, and I adore all the performances from everyone.

I know we all fondly compare this to RvB, but I have to applaud this series for its vision. Not only does it have an intriguing plot right from the get-go, but it manages to balance a mysterious atmosphere with a comedic one and maintains some really fantastic characters.
This absolutely deserves more attention. The writing, the detail, the sounds, the voice acting, hell even the adherence to the Halo lore and making it fit in with the franchise have all been done so damn well! You guys have genuinely put together a fantastic series here, and I cannot wait to see more! All of my friends will be watching this with me. You guys deserve just as much attention as RvB got, if not more. Keep it up!
I genuinely can’t put into words how much I love this series even though it’s just blossoming

I recently watched the series finale of RvB a couple weeks ago. It caused me to cry for about 30 minutes afterwards. It was such an impact on my life, and the lives of many people I know and don’t know.
All of that to say, CRASH has to potential to reach a large audience in the same way RvB did to so many. It’s funny, I love the characters, the story is going in an interesting place, and you clearly care about the community you are creating.

While it seems kinda “clunky” at some times, for the most part the animation is amazing. Its used really well, and blends in great with the halo 3 movement and style. I’m really glad Crash has picked up so much momentum you guys are able to start incorporating and improving it with each new episode.
