Brotha, you're fogger works as good as this one does w a single ultrasonic plate. You can attach a dimmer knob on that sucker for higher and lower rh. Idk, I am attached to the old one and it was probably 60% cheaper. I'd be interested in seeing the actual output difference in the 2 machines.
Hey Tom, did you get any further in figuring out how they control the performance of the ultrasonic disks? I want to build my own humidifier with 0-10v input for control, but I'm not quite sure on the best way to go about that. I was thinking they either switch the power on and off really fast (PWM, Solid state relay) or they vary the voltage. I think the latter would change the frequency of the piezoelectric disk, which would change their performance, but its a strange way to go about it. If we figure it out and I build one that works I'll make a video and share it with the community, helping everyone save money. I understand you are a busy man but any help (i.e. sharing photos of the control electronics) would be much appreciated.
Hi! How does your ultrasonic humidifer workin after this time? You use only distilled water or you can use also tap water and it doesnt affect on mushrooms (kind of humidifer)?:)
It’s great to see the new farm coming together. I can’t wait to see how the inoculated trees come along. I see in your fruiting room you have switched back to using shelving instead of the vertical set up. Are you gone away from the vertical set up now, if so how come, or is the plan to eventually use a vertical set up?
Great videos mate! I learned so much from it. Can you tell me how did u keep so many years same ultrasonic humidifier to work without problem? Did u clean it once per week or? What did u use to clean it?
Me 2!! I think CLR would be the best thing to clean them with and once a month or bi-weekly. I'm ready to do a cleaning. I have ultramist humidifiers I picked up real cheap and I just use peroxide and a small brush. Those have been working double time for a couple months.
Please answer, how do you guys do second flash? Is it from the same hole? Or you cover first hole and cut another one? Where do you cut another hole, and how do you cut it? Does blocks need to be resting, or you keep them right there after first harvesting? Can’t find anywhere this kind of information. Thanks a lot.
Good stuff. I try to avoid Chinese products, but i guess it's a way cheaper option for you, especially when shipping is taken into account. You got a mention on Mossy Creek Mushrooms livestream yesterday. They are also impressed with your progress.
Hello am nooh from Kampala Uganda and I grow button mushroom using split wall air conditioner but am having problems with humidity so do mind telling me that humidifier you a using
Great stuff, question how hard is your water? because i was advised against ultrasonic humidifiers because where i live the water is super hard and has a lot of minerals and stuff in it so the ultrasonic disks would get too much scale buildup, is this a concern? can it simple be cleaned with some vinegar water every so often? I ask because ultrasonic is the best way to humidify and i would like to use them if it's possible and economical because i can't be replacing them every 2 months and buying new ones because they are expensive.
someone once told me to use white vinegar to dissolve the calcium build up, but not sure if i would need to just soak the ultrasonic discs in it or not. I wouldn't want to use vinegar in the humidification water as i don't think it would be good for the fungi?
Yeeah Mate, your Farm beginns to look and work like a professional 👍 Keep going the great work and produce some lokal Food Ressource ! Got that Humidifier an Water Filter ,or do you use destilled Water for it?
What is that program you use to show the input/output loop? I would love to use something like that to help me set up an automated process with an arduino
@@OakandSpore the building itself and the mushroom room. Building - side wall tall (this also tell me how tall is your fruiting room) ? And how tall is it from the floor tho the peak of the roof.
If memory serves correct you have a lung room.. just wondering two things: - how.come you didn't just humidify the lung room? (Don't know where ur intake filters are located) Or, - run the humidifier intake through a filter? Just curious! Love your content, you inspired me to quit my engineering job to focus on my passion, fungi!
The air in the workshop I am in does not enter the fruiting rooms. There is a preconditioning room (lung room?) outside which the two interior rooms feed from. I cannot humidify this as there is a commercial heat pump working in there. Glad to see you made the jump!! Welcome to the community :)
On all honesty maybe I could have, but the cost to do it would have been far too high. I like China for they ability to provides reasonably good quality equipment for an affordable price.
"thank you china" strange words to hear these days especially when New Zealand is in the southwestern Pacific Ocean, you may be forced to start speaking chinese when the chinese government tries to take over every land mass close to the South Pacific Ocean.

Did you by any chance manage to put something suitable together? The cost of those humidifier blocks are quite steep.
Great video mate, look forward to seeing the PID controlled humidity. I think it will reduce spiking in your humidity levels.
Hope so!
Thank you for sharing all this! Your content in amazing I am learning so much from you.
Just found your channel. Looking forward to watching all your videos. Thank you for sharing your experience!

Andrew is a good guy! Runs a pretty solid business!
When I see the Chinese characters on the box, quite a lot of fun, because I am from China, LOL.

Our water is very very soft. This device also has a filter built in, which i forgot to show in the video.

Your DIY humidifier, do you have UV lights inside? How often do you clean or change water? Great work!
No, not anymore. I clean weekly.

Thanks for the videos i know it is very time consuming .
Thanks! I re-filmed the last past about 6 times... Took me hours!

what is the name of this humidifier?

1x2.2 I believe.

How to find this model of humidifier and cost

It's called Focus, and works alongside the Innotech Omni controllers. Basically you need an Omni controller to make it all fucntion.

ooh you still use it !! that is my inspiration !! ... anyway you may need some trimming ... just don't shave.
Its illegal for me to get a haircut in my country... so I haven't had a hair cut in a long time.
