    In the Castle Link, turn the punch down and add timing. That will make it more drive-able, keep the temps down and make you have a higher top end. Get the Castle blower for that motor. They work better than most of the others and seem to handle punishment better too.

    Awesome truck Jason, looking at getting one of these in the next few months and doing a build myself. back in the day, i Used to have a few associated rc10's that I built out with Reedy motors, but its been awhile since i have built a truck. watching you and a few others here on RUclips the RC bug has bitten me again.

    Nice truck...Love JBI parts. You should get some of the rear shock tower braces from M2C racing though...there's not a lot holding that rear shock tower to the truck. I just built my Typhon 6s with a JBI chassis and other bits. I also truggified it...should be a vid of it in the near future. Cant wait to see you torture test the Kraton. 👍😄

    Awesome build bro 👍👍 you should invest in some hardened steel input and outputcups that motor will have the power to wear big huge pin grooves in your cups over time, it did to mine and i went to hot racing hardened steel output cups and then gpm hardened steel input cups because i couldn't find hot racing ones or they don't make them. 👍👍

I can’t remove the wheel hubs due to the set screws are fused with thread lock , want to replace the hubs with the M2C double lock nut hubs I bought for it .

      Castle explains part of it in there faq. You have to wait so long before you apply the throttle for calibration.. the reciver wont arm until it sees neutral for a few seconds then you have to hurry and apply full throttle for calibration..
      Check the faq on castle
      The other part is when the avc is calibrating you cant move the car at all till it's done.

    Great looking truck. I built my own Kraton almost as good as yours. Mine is also heavy. But mine has the M2C racing chassis. Its still very heavy, though. I was going the tekno orange spring route on mine, but I noticed that the tekno springs are about a mm shorter than the stock Kraton springs. It didn't help in lifting up the truck. I'm trying to figure out how to lift the truck up a bit. Like yours, it is loo low to the ground. My motor overheating is not the problem, is the Hobbywing ESC that overheats and shuts down. I had to gear down as well. But my pinion was probably to tall, 24T. I went down to 21T. I also changed the ESC stock fan, and put in a 40mm fan. Hopefully that will help with heating issues. I have 3 fans on my TP-4070 CM motor, it stays pretty cool. Is also a 1480kv.

    Bro, with that much weight especially running 8S batteries in it (even 6S). I would not utilize techno spring orange. Those are not gonna make any difference. In fact they really are the same caliber as the stock springs already. If you really want to make a big difference slap in some big rock shocks springs, literally one spring is the equivalent of two techno oranges LOL. In order to slow things down and take back control of this set up you’ve got a toss 5000 CST differential fluid into the shocks. It also helped a lot that I incorporated in M2C shock caps with zero rebound technology. Long story short with the weight of your beast. You’ll find a pretty awesome set up with beefed out shocks.
    Note though, this shock suggestion is definitely ready for serious bashing and jumps. If you are only a grass runner you might not like the Stiffer shocks, can be a touch bouncy. However the 5000 CST fluid and the MTC shock caps help a ton there.
    I’ve got a whole series of videos on this topic. Just search dual shock springs Experiment. Bash on my brother... amazing set up you have there!!!

      have fun replacing all the bearings in your XMAXX every couple of runs. Thats if you even get to the second run before the ESC burns the whole truck to the ground. "Maybe" there is a problem with the EXB rear diff. Mines just fine with a Castle 1717 system. At least Arrma stands behind there product and warranties any problem and redesigns it to fix it, instead of just ignoring the shitty quality they have with every model like CrapsAss does. Just leans on there established name to get by. You want shitty diffs to bitch about, go ahead and by a CrapsAss, try out the Revo, see how that goes.

    • @davidtruelove5022
      @davidtruelove5022 4 года назад +1

      Russell Schwalbach you got to try the Maxx 4s that thing is a beast! So is the X-Maxx! Yeah, traxxas esc’s are shit, but the motors and the platform are completely legit. Also, you called it again with the rear inner bearings, but it not an expensive fix, rpm sells the right part for that. Also, their metal spur and pinion gears break easier than most plastic.
