Good morning everyone! I appreciate you stopping by this morning and going ON THROTTLE with me. Make sure to let me know in the comments section what you think about this new TX 500h F Sport performance
It is not just about comfort. It also shows how car manufacturers are cheapening out and skimping on QUANTITY of materials used for cost-savings and larger profit margins.
Wow man, great looking SUV! My favorite color, favorite reviewer, and fav car brand, what more can a guy ask?! Seeing that front end in motion definitely stands out in a really nice modern way but made my day to hear this has a spare tire! Always say that I'm not a third row/minivan kinda guy but this is persuasive man. Great video!
True. The car market somehow is lagging behind, but they will have to lower prices at some point with where the market seems to be headed. No one's willing to finance these lux cars at 3-6% interest, unless ofc you're someone who can easily dish out that kind of dough.
The premium luxury would be my choice, FSport needs more goodies. Naveen for someone who doesn't like a brand you give it the MOST attention out of all em😂😂
Man that's a nice looking SUV & I'm an owner of an Acura TLX Type S so naturally I like the MDX Type S as well, but this one can definitely compete with it
@@pinkisforpimps I like it, but I do think they could've lightened it and added more horsepower, also the touchPad I had to get used to because I'm used to a touch screen but other than that it's still fast and produces a great sound when I take off
This is what all Acura MDX and infinity QX owners have been waiting for a long time … the dream becomes true and finally Lexus 3rd row … reliable , durable best resale value …… thank you Lexus Just FYI I am MDX owner 4 mdx in past 20 years and looking to switch asap …
I just got rid of the Lexus RX after listening to RUclips nerds coming from an Acura RDX. Just got a MDX a few months ago, and I gladlly tell you to enjoy this piece of s.hit Lexus. Lexus went to hell over. The last decade.
Like the way you go into tiny details and zonking out things. Been watching your videos for quite some time, and one thing that I'd wish to see getting covered in these videos is car's security features if you can. TIA.
You always make me laugh man! I think this one will be an interesting option, though I get the feeling the TX 350 is going to be the top seller for Lexus 3-rows. Thank you for what you do my friend, Cheers!
Hey love all you have provided to us!!! One slight suggestion if u don't mind? is it possible to get a sound of the engine igniting from the exhaust or from under the hood?
Looks like you fit rite in with the locals when it comes to driving Joe . You on throttled that car rite into the solid lines merging into the freeway while cutting that other car off ever so elegantly just like I do in my Lexus RCF . Evidence @ 24:30 I rest my case your honor. 😮😅😂 On a real note Joe I appreciate your review and in my opinion this TX being more family oriented for comfort and versatility over the new GX I’m wondering why the GX is the only one that you can option the center console with a cooler for drinks on road trips . If this TX had the cooler I’d like it that much more as picky as that sounds. I also wish it had optional media screens in the rear like a Grand Cherokee offers . It would make a huge difference .
Joe another flawless video thank you so much for your abundance of knowledge and Steven did an excellent job on the camera as well This is exactly why Raitis is the BEST OF THE BEST ❤❤
Great video's but recommendation on the "Fire it up...and see it go". Your only showing the very front and rear of the vehicle as it leaves and returns. Try angling the camera so you can see the entire side of the vehicle as it returns. thx.
@@RaitisRides What’s the embargo for the GX test drive if you don’t mind sharing? I know the TX’s was today October 11 at 9 AM ET, so do you know the embargo for the new GX550?
Wow, asking me to decide between the MDX Type S and this is hard, because our family has the need for the space this TX has (or let's face it, the Grand Highlander.) But then the Type S is the driver's car of these two by a country mile. And as nice as the Mark Levinson system is, did it beat the ELS system in the Type S? What say you? I think if Acura would a) get rid of the stupid touchpad interface, and b) get rid of all the piano black plastic, I'd be all in with Team MDX Type S. What about you Joe?
@@omendarklight1526 I love this LX 600 don’t want to stop driving looking excuse to drive ride so smooth I traded LX570 to get LX 600 but I like this more There’s is new LX 700 with 500 horsepower with hybrid power next year hopefully I will get that one
This is a nice looking 3-row SUV. For the price point I’d say a V-6 turbo or hybrid setup should be a minimum and slightly wider 275 tires. Everything else is good
Seems incomplete for something with an F Sport badge. 2pc rotors, 6 pot calipers..awesome btw, but like mentioned in the video, other components don’t seem to match..including what’s under the hood. V6 hybrid or even the 8 from the LC..now that would make the F Sport branding stand out more. Maybe I don’t get the F Sport branding.
Agreed! Had L, at a minimum, put an exposed sporty exhaust, blacked badges, unique “spoiler”, and a different power plant..then I believe it would’ve sealed the deal for F Sport brand. The brakes and rear steering is like someone building their car for something performance oriented, but then ran out of money so couldn’t finish the rest.
The highest trim GL has black cladding and bland wheels, sheet metal on doors and rear hatch are very flimsy, the TX is very solid and quiet compared to the GL
hi, thanks for the video. You mentioned about there is another video of the Lexus TXh 500 to explain about the seats going down. I know the third row has a power button but does the second row have a push button or is is manually done? thanks
oof! honestly.... the MDX TYPE S for me... TX front end is just damn hideous! I can't wait till Acura redesigns their interiors for a true touch screen experience for their UI/infotainment! none the less! amazing review!!!!! The next gen MDX will be better! just look at the PILOT!
Very compelling but I wish this had a second row bench option and smaller wheels. Captains chairs don't work for my family of three kids (because sometimes I need to maximize cargo and carry everyone) and the giant wheels do no favor to ride and mileage.
I don’t know why manufacturers are obsessed with captains chairs in these things and these big giant useless consuls, which is second row passengers never use anyway
Yes. The MDX doesn't have 3rd row climate vents, something its sister car, the Pilot, has. The Highlander, Grand Highlander and TX have 3rd row climate vents.
I hate to say it but this is a big yawn for me, the new design language is kind of dull and this thing looks WAY to close to the Highlander I had to double take to be sure, the interior decent at best but there isn't much of wow factor, But breaching the $80k price point (before the mark ups because boy there will be on these) for a 4 cylinder hybrid and meh interior is a hard pass, and I really hate saying that about Lexus because I know they make good cars.

the TX is a really good package in the 3 row SUV class.
You are so very right about that!
I'm going to give you a big zonk for not using turn signals while passing cars during an test drive. The TX looks cool with those recliner seats.
Appreciate you relentlessly keep zonking the razor thin rear seats arm rests - just because most manufacturers keep doing this, doesn't mean it's ok.
Amen my friend! Very good call!
It is not just about comfort. It also shows how car manufacturers are cheapening out and skimping on QUANTITY of materials used for cost-savings and larger profit margins.
It’s to help get into the 3rd row.
Love what Lexus is doing with these new hybrid power trains. Performance with fuel efficiency. Thanks Joe and Lori, you are awesome.
Especially with the rear wheel steer

It’s way overpriced and it’s just a Camry underneath in a big box😂. The tx is dated, boring, cheap inside, lacks features, and it’s slow for the class

Well duh …
Not enough Lexus identity. Yes, it's based on the K platform but even the NX and RX looks different from its toyota siblings.
Yep. Getting rid of the spindle grill doesn’t help with that at all. Not enough differentiation to justify that Lexus price imo

How's this different from the RX 350? Is it really that much difference in size?
First thought it would have the 5.0 V8 or even a hybrid 3.4 twin turbo V6. Not very exciting with only a 4cyl for $78k.
It feels like a 3 cylinder, off the line. Then the sound is like imitation lawnmower. At least the base model 350 does...

Not to crazy with the front grill. Wish it comes in Electric. Overall it's a great car. I might considered it.
