- The TX is all new from Lexus for 2024. On the outside you will discover the spindle body grill, 20in wheels and LED lighting. On the inside you will be greeted by a spacious 3-row interior. Under the hood is a 2.5L turbocharged inline-4 mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. Is the 2024 Lexus TX 350 a BETTER luxury midsize SUV than an Acura MDX?

The 4 cylinder turbo killed it for me . V6 is the way to go in the MDX
It is nice to have choices.
Needs a V8 in my opinion :)
V8 body on frames (aka REAL SUVs) are going away.
People mistake crossovers for suvs. There’s a real difference and that also entails locking diff vs awd with cvt.
I’d much prefer a Sienna over any crossover. It’s more practical and honest about what it is.
@@donkedic1wrong the new GX 550 comes out next month. Honda and acura being a smaller brand just never offers it.
Same here, it's the reason why I just bought a 2024 Camry XSE V6 over the Accord.
I am a huge Lexus fan but The Acura looks so sharp.
Especially with the red interior. My friend owns one and it's georgous.
I know how you feel!
what model Acura?
We bought the Lexus TX and love it!!
I am so glad that you like this one.
That red POPS!
Honestly, it makes the color much better than nightfall mica
It really is working!
I think you may be right!
Red isn’t even available with Build and Price on the Lexus website.
Very strange @@storey13
Saw two on the road so far, Nightfall Mica and Wind Chill Pearl. They are VERY nice!
Those are really great SUVs.
older guy here…..i dont want touchscreen. Too distracting while driving. I much rather physical buttons/knobs/etc. I also want ventilated seats at this price and since I live in GA. Great review Joe! Thanks.
I totally agree! Touch screens are just asking for glitches and gremlins.
But ventilated seats help keep the family jewels nice and dry.😆
Looks super nice from Lexus even though youtube won't let me run my ad blocker.
That is definitely a challenge.
Lexus is killing it with this and the new GX550. Personally I'd take the GX550. Perfection.
I would go GX all day long.
No they’re not. 😂
The new gx isn’t that great. It’s still inefficient but the interior is worse and it’s way overpriced
The tx well everything is wrong with it. It looks ugly, interior is outdated and cheap, outdated tech that’s simultaneously useless, no features, no 8th seat, pathetic powertrains, pathetic driving experience and it’s way overpriced
@@naveenthemachinewho at Toyota and Lexus hurt you bro
@@naveenthemachine Very many disagree with you. And that's an understatement.
@@JCVACCARO you know why they disagree?
Because A. They don’t know anything;
B. They don’t possess any physical senses;
C. They’re stuck in the past where Toyotas are so reliable that they can burn it with fire and it would still run like new 😂
That’s why
I got a Tx 350 Lux AWD. With all the fully loaded features it’s such a smooth ride, and the family wants to take it rather than any other vehicle we have. I’m 6’2” and personally I felt cramped in an MDX with no head room. For my comfort, there isn’t a better SUV on the market. It’s not a sport performance car by any means, but it’s buttery smooth luxury for travel and you feel like you arrive rather than just get to your destination.
I know all manufacturers do it, but I hate it when you have to go to an upper trim level to get ventilated seats. Especially on a $56K vehicle. Acura does it as well making you get the MDX with technology to get them.
I drove this car today. Loved everything about it except the power. I worry about when it’s fully occupied and towing 5k lbs.
Bought a TX350 AWD base…$57665 MSRP, $2500 discount and conquest rebate. Best deal going. Don’t need a panoroof or ventilated seats. Wind Chill Pearl with lt gray interior. Added Cold Area Pkg for heated seats and windshield wiper de-icer. Wife loves it, as it’s hers, and I took her ‘24 Acura MDX w/Tech AWD in blue, instead, as my DD now. Love it too.
Wow that is a great deal. Do you mind sharing where you purchased?
@@JaimeMani Lexus of Louisville matched a discount from Lexus of Lexington, then there’s $500 Conquest rebate if you own a competitive make and finance with Lexus FS. I then refi’d with Navy FCU at under 5%
@@docholiday9562 Nice - thanks for that insight!
@@docholiday9562just bought ours. Thank you for your service, I thought anyone could be apart of NF I tried to apply as there were the lowest rate and I did not know you had to serve.
I got the base as well. Only thing I’m upset about is no memory seats. We also did not need the pano roof and my wife’s rx has vented seats if we need them. Great buy overall
You always pick the best colors Joe ! Cherry Red 🍒………
Thanks for saying that Tom! I really appreciate that!
Looks like a highlander dressed up for his job interview
I think that is a great analogy!
This is a reskinned Grand Highlander.
Amazing review Joe.
Thanks for letting me share it with you!
The Palisade Caligraphy seems to have a more premium interior and more features for less money
The four-cylinder turbo is a big negative. The static horsepower may be there, but on the road the naturally aspirated, six cylinder would last longer and feel better.
Go with the MDX
go with the TX500h, that engine set up destroys any NA V6 or turbo V6@@robertklement5811
How is this a color option?? There are none for sale in this color and you can not build one on the website in this color???
Does the full option has a panoramic Sunroof plus a cool box?
Yo the third row reclining seats!!! That’s really cool, I didn’t expect that!! 😂
Nearly standard in this era
I LIKE the price. Having been in the Limo Biz, this ride is right in the sweet spot for running Airport Transfers. Kinda makes me want to buy one and get back into Limo work.
Naw! Just kidding.
I like the exterior color and interior inside I also like the sports mode feature for tx350 but I think the dislike for me is the rear windshield wiper in plain view how is it that a Sienna Van rear wiper have a hidden wiper mounted under the spoiler that’s awesome and Lexus couldn’t adapt that from their Toyota line. But it is a nice vehicle.
I don’t see this color anywhere on their website. Any idea why?
I want to know the same thing. And none for sale anywhere in the US that I can find
Lexus made a six-slice toaster heated by a four-banger.
practical in terms of comfort 7 seater, surprised with how much the 3rd seat can declined !
When will you be posting a video on the new 2024 Lincoln Nautilus? There seems to be plenty of inventory at dealerships already.
Like the car a lot. No sunroof or head up display for $56,000, it’s overpriced. $49,000 would’ve been the sweet spot.
Really nice vehicle!
Love it!
Thanks for letting me share it with you!
Hi Raiti, I have watched almost all your videos these years, but this is my first comment to you. Neither this TX350 nor MDX I like to buy, I would like to buy a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee ( Long version ) and / or a Infiniti QX60 ( Sensory model ). What do you think ⁉️
From : Andrew, Toronto, Canada
That sounds like a great idea. Thanks for being on the journey with me.
@@RaitisRides you are the most welcome 🙏
Only issue with either of those 2 is long term reliability and resell value. Be sure to look into that as well.
@@5.0cs_Brandon yes, you’re correct 👍 Thanks
TX500h
Somehow this seems to have more seating and cargo space than the sequoia
Make an "On-Throttle" Super Supreme Pizza or Calzone. Tell em' Joe!!!
Also - Just watched the 2024 Honda Pilot review, and honestly looks like an objectively better powertrain.
The only luxury car brand that has most cheap plastic interior.
What about the air conditioning for the 3rd row?
Can this thing move a piece of 4x8 inside with mid-row folded? MDX is much much quicker (S vs. 500h; non-S vs. 350/450), and has a better AWD system, while TX delivers better gas mileage. The extra room inside at the cost of 10" longer for parking is dubious if it can not swallow 4x8.
These are some very good points!
I would save some coins and just get the fully loaded Grand Highlander. Imo the front grill looks better on the Highlander.
That sounds like a great plan!
If you want the platinum iForce Max, you'll have to likely build one and wait. There's like 3 within 500 miles of me. Likely all sold as soon as they hit the lots.
Are you talking about joeys by the planet fitness on us 19? I have been wondering if it’s good. Will have to try! It is around the corner!
Yes I actually have!
Really like the TX and the room it has but what separates this from the Grand Highlander to justify the price difference?
How do you get the red color
Which fuel is used 87 or premium?
Premium😢
No spare tyre?
I love looking at cars where i can't afford it. It gives me the motivation to go out and rob some banks. :)
It’s amazing your paying for the Lexus name even though it’s just a plusher, grand highlander Toyota, I built a platinum Toyota version looked way better than the starting price of this Lexus version
I never use my moon roof
No thanks to the 4 cyl twin turbo.
I like the red color
I am so glad to hear about that!
thanks
You are so very welcome.
Basically just a Grand Highlander
I have the 2024 Grand Highlander Platinum and I prefer the front facia of the Toyota more as well as the interior. It simply looks more interesting. Interior of the Lexus looks boring.
Get the MDX, the V6 is the way to go. Next generation will probably go turbo just like the rest of the car world, shame.
Is this pure leather ?
Only the luxury trim has real leather. . Other trims have synthetic leather - still quite good though . Soft and comfortable
If Raiti didn’t rate it I’m not riding it 🙅🏽♂️
What is this color ... no option for this color even on their website
I prefer the MDX
That door panel looked kinda looked like cheap plastic
Looks like a dodge durango from the rear
I guess I see it Heather.
Nice😊😊
Great. Looks a little bit chinese. Thank You mr.Raiti.
You are so very welcome!
Lexus makes some sweet rides but their naming conventions are silly. Acura's are no better.
This looks good for luxury midsize, but at 57k that is already the price of a CPO 2021-22 BMW X7 which already have all these features few years ago.
Why do those car manufacturers not listen to me??? I want a lower hood so that I can see kids running in front of my car.
Lexus Texas
Funny thing is the Lexus USA headquarters is in TX.
U G L Y
RX is more comparable with MDX js
Well the RX does not have three roles.
Front end of this thing is a failure.
Looks too much like a Sienna
I am not seeing it,.
To me the design is dull inside and out. Nothing all that inspiring to look at.
I know it is not for everyone.
Arby's has coke products. No mountain dew
Thanks for the heads up!
@@RaitisRides Sorry Joe! Keep up the killer videos!
Another boring crossover for moms
LOL Perfect!
The interior is shit
😢😢😢 oh Lexus what have you done to yourself?
Proud owner of the 2023 Lexus RX350 Premium Plus! Love It, previous Lexus IS350. 😊
I was looking at the RX but when I saw it in person, it looks so tiny for a midsize SUV.
We saw this "Lexus TX" on RUclips last night through our Apple TV and immediately my wife said "there's a Lexus Texas now?"
LOL I see what you did there!
😂😂😂😂😂
She probably meant Alexis Texas
I feel for the luxury SUV of that size and weight, with that price tag it’s a bit low on power.
That is understandable
I wonder how many sales Lexus is expecting from this? Should do 5-7k a month, if the RX does 8k
Back in the day, Lexus thought about doing something like this, with the HPX Concept, based off the Lexus GS, back in 2003, twenty years ago. It would've had the market before the Mercedes GLS. Somebody in the back office killed it, and lost their job, on that market miscalculation.
It should be interesting!
About 50k a year which I’m sure it will exceed. It a direct hit to the mdx, mdx sales dropped 33% last month.
Hey Joe! Nice Lexus! 💀 👍
I am so glad that I can share it with you!
Yoooooo. That red is incredible. Very eye-catching.
It really pops in the sun.
How do you get that color?
The Lexus TX is red
I love the color, i love the body style! Like it better then the MDX not a fan of the long nose on the MDX!!! Price is very fair!! Joe what do you think if they kept the bottom glass line straight through to the back instead that little up bend at the back window?
That damn red looks hot 🔥
Atomic Fireball hot!
Lexus made a practical vehicle with some nice interior bits. It is a safe choice, but lacks any spice. Looks are quite plain, interior is fine. Just not inspiring.
I feel you!
Just bought a TX 350 AWD luxury model...we love it!
That is so fantastic to hear Kenny! Congrats!
That car looks like ketchup
Do you want a burger or hot dog
I purchased mine in March, and I never regretted it. First time Lexus owner
No spare tyre?
Typical Woman Only Boomer SUV.
A suv this size deserves a V6. A turbo 4 banger doesn’t make sense. Less power but more torque is the only pro with this engine. I’ll pick an MDX over this. You get a bulletproof NA V6 plus you get acuras signature AWD system
I know how you feel!
There is only two drawbacks with the MDX is the slightly less space, and no touchscreen. But if these are deal breakers then the MDX could be a great option
Welcome to Biden’s “new America” ……..
that NA V6 is just as slow and boring to drive than the 4 cylinder turbo. The MDX type S is more fun but the TX500h destroys it, not only in size of the vehicle but being as fast or faster with way better gas mileage. Oh and that MDX would depreciate and be worthless off the lot.
And no 3rd row AC vents! MDX 3rd row is useless in Texas!
Nice ride i would definitely buy one.
Sounds good to me.
Yes of course Joe & I thinking of buying this.
Sounds good to me.
Put the V6 in the TX or the TX touch screen in the MDX and you would have a good choice. Also Joe, revving that 4 banger is just plain sad.
I wanted to share the sadness with you!
@@RaitisRides thanks
Well there is the Lexus TX 550h+ which pairs a V6 with a PHEV powertrain. That offers a smooth and serene driving experience.
I guess some commenters expectations have been lowered over the years? This is a Lexus That’s a nice interior. It’s not a luxurious interior. Where is the leather? Where is the Alcantara? Where is the suede? Where is the wood? Where is the carbon fiber? Where is the aluminum?
Yeah they really cut corners . Interior looks so plain
Another SUV (meant for family-hauling, pet-hauling, off-roading, "sport," "utillity," camping etc. with a white interior. Can we start a campaign against manufacturer's putting white cloth and leathers in cars that will look like junk in 6 months.
56 isn’t bad
I am so glad that you think so.
In America, a giant, 3-row SUV is considered "midsize". 😢😢😢😮
But it's just as big as some of the full-size SUVs interior wise, even if not quite exterior wise (such as the X7, GLS, Grand Wagoneer, etc)
2024 Lexus TX 350 is BETTER luxury midsize SUV than an Acura MDX
One day I want to see someone fill up their storage spaces with twinkies, LJS tackle boxes, and family jewels.
It's funny knowing that the Lexus RX is the only Lexus SUV right now that hides the rear wiper under the roof spoiler. What's stopping them from doing it with all their other SUVs? xD
It is interesting how that turned out.
The naming kills me. Lexus Texas. They didn’t think that through.
LOL Perfect!
Its not better than the MDX..but..when it comes to reliability and maintenance it gonna win hands down...Thanks Joe and Steven for this exciting segment 😀 😊
I think mdx reliability is good 👍
I'd argue that the TX500h is way better than the MDX, even better than the MDX Type S... that 4 cylinder turbo hybrid engine is fucking nuts.
Top Car!
That is so very awesome!
I can’t wait to hear how much 🍬 🍭 we fittin in this baby 😂
Heck yeah!
