First time seeing hot springs with different temperatures. Really cool
It was so much fun 🤗
Oh my goodness, I have not been there for ages I must get up there. Thank you for your video.
Such a cool place, you guys describe it beautifully! We are blessed to have you in the country :)
Awww, thanks so much 🥰🤗 we appreciate that everyone is so welcoming 🙏
@@BeingBedingfield You guys are such an asset to this country....love your work!!
Those trees are huge! You are right, I don't think a camera can do them justice 😁
I love that you didn't let the rain ruin your day. I was surprised at how small the pools were and that there were so many different temperatures. We've not been to any place like this so it was very cool to see!
You are getting to see real New Zealand. You are so lucky to be living in Whangarei, and not one of the big 3 (although Wellington is pretty awesome ;-p). Though, the weather! This has truly got to be one of the WETTEST summers I can remember.
I’m sure living anywhere in NZ would be epic 🤗😅 but we’re loving exploring Northland, so much beauty here!
I love how you just get out and about! Thanks for sharing with us! Those trees are incredible and I can only imagine that film and camera do not do them justice!
Hot springs looks like a good experience and the weather did play it’s part - rain or shine I’m glad you guys enjoyed your adventure! 💦
Thanks so much Helen, we always appreciate your comments 😊
Weather will definitely not put us off 😅
It looks like nz is still wowing u guys which is awesome to see. These days I live on the coromandel but I'm from northland and still own a place in Ngawha. I love northland beauty. Cool vid guys 💚
Sorta damp. But I liked the big tree. And I would of stayed in the hot one.... 🌴🌴 Aloha
Yeah, the hot one was definitely the best 😅 Aloha 🌴
Bush clad hilltops disappearing into cloud base on a showery day is so New Zealand.
Loooove it 🤗🤗
Love your Channel. Wish I had moved here years ago but hopefully holidaying NZ at end of year
Thanks so much 🙏😊 hope your holiday plans work out, so exciting 🤗
te matua ngahere.... the elder of the forest, tane mahuta.... god of the forest
NZ seems so sanitized and picture perfect , I've seen enough guys , I miss the rawness of Africa !
😅😅😅
Ngawha springs 😊
What beautiful trees 3,000 years old!! WOW!! A nice hot spring on a rainy day lovely! Always love the bloops! Great video guys~Cara 😊
Thanks Cara 💕 we couldn’t believe the size and age of those trees! And it was the perfect weather for hot springs 🤗
I remember Nawha hot springs as a teenager, not been back since, but they look alot more pristine than when I was there. Obviously some $$$ pumped in LoL. My recollection was some mud pools too?
It sounds like they had a big revamp in recent years. We had a really nice experience! All the pools have wooden panels on the sides and the bottom, except one had mud on the bottom, but we didn’t spend too much time in there because it was a cold one 😂
@@BeingBedingfield There is something exciting and pimeval (is that even a word?) about bathing in geothermal hot pools which we are blessed with in this country. I used to get excited as a kid when we drove to Rotorua for example, I could smell the sulpher ages before we arrived. Loved going "walkabout" looking at the various hot springs which were still free back then. Have u guys got there yet?
great part of the country
So beautiful 😊
Those sand dunes are great on a sunny day! Craig u r onto it, bit like a little Namibia I guess
We’ll have to go back on a sunny day!
Unfortunately we never made it to Namibia 😢
@@BeingBedingfield It looks amazing, Botswana too! Gotta time it with an AB's Boks test match in winter when it's dry over there!!
Was so awesome to see the northern west coast get some time as show and tell. I absolutely love it up there, especially boogie boarding down the sand dunes
The sand dunes is soooo much fun!
The trees track just seem so relaxing and peaceful. The Hot spring with all different temperatures interesting love it .Thank you for taking us a long 👍💖💖
Thanks so much for watching Anneke, we really appreciate you 🤗💕
Thanks for your content guys!
Thanks so much for watching 🙏🤗
What a super trip loved seeing this
Thanks so much for watching 🤗
Great viewing! Love it!!
Thanks David! Have a great weekend 😁
Great memories for us in this video , we did almost the same trip a few years ago in one of our visit to see our daughter and grandson, love it . Thanks for the memories and keep enjoying the beauty of New Zealand.
Aw yay, glad you could relive some memories through the video 🤗💕 do you have another trip planned to see your family soon?
If you missed Trounson park you missed the best grove of kauri in the country. Also the dunes of the Hokianga are really worth visiting some great views and a glimpse of the Sahara. Kauri Museum also a must
Thanks for the tips, we’ll make sure to add those the next time we go to the west coast.
Does it rain alot in NZ? You've been dealing with rain on so many of your videos lately. Love the big tree, hot springs combo today. Makes for the perfect day despite the weather.
It's really hard to appreciate the size of these giants...recall the Sequioa grove at Yosemete, and came away underwhelmed. Tane Mahuta is cool think it's pronounced "Taan eh" and most of us Kiwi's get our pronounciation wrong too LoL 🤣
So true 😂 even our Kiwi neighbours pronounce Whangarei kind of as onegarry 😅
@@BeingBedingfield haha...when one clicks the tongue a little pronouncing Maori words (like a scot) even Maori appreciate it...works for me anyway LoL
Maori vowel pronunciation is easy. "A" as in far, "E" as in air, "I" as in seek, O as in ore, U as in soon. Ng is pronounced like the end of sing. Spanish pronunciation of vowels is similar.
Thanks 🙏 will take some getting use to 😅
@@BeingBedingfield "wh" is often pronounced as "F", but can also be pronounced as in why...depends where you are in NZ. Whangarei is often pronounced both ways...ae together is pronounced eye, and "R" is rolled...just say the words slowly and you'll get it right.
Love Ngawha...it's a great round trip.....have you been to the Kai Iwi lakes? Mt Mania?.... might cross paths one day We go to Rhema Family Church. ... love to meet you.
Yeah, would be great to meet you 😊 we haven’t done Manaia yet 😖 still working on a bit of fitness 😂
Don't know if you saw it or not but next to Tane mahuta but there is 3 Kauri trees known as the 3 sisters did you see them ?
Not sure…maybe we’ll check our footage to see 😅
Is always good to ask a local kiwi Maori or guide to help pronounce Maori words when out & about in Aotearoa/NZ
Definitely! 😅 thank goodness that there was a guide at Tane Mahuta to give us the correct pronunciation, we were so far off 🙈
Are those sulfer springs. Any nutrients in the black water
Yip, each pool has different health benefits, so presuming it’s full of minerals 😊
These trees once dotted theses islands once upon a time, because of colonisation and deforesting which had to preserve these sleeping giants...
The guide told us, he said there were trees even bigger than Tane Mahuta 🥺
😂 Wonder how you pronounced Brynderwyn and Ngunguru.
It's beautiful up there!
😂😂😂 In my books it’s Brandewyn Hills 😅 and we don’t even try and say Ngunguru 🙈😅
@@BeingBedingfield
😆 I was already laughed at by colleagues when I tried to pronounce these.
@@halgrynshaun It's really not easy to pronounce these names haha
