I have found many of those carved bowls in massive boulders along with obvious monolithic stacked boulders on Kauai Hawaii. Nobody thinks anything of them here. When the Polynesians discovered Hawaii, there were indigenous people already here, about 500,000 of them. The Polynesians called them Menehune (commoners) but they called themselves Mu.

@REDHOT exactly my point as yous always do..! Take our mythical korero knowing its a myth an turn it into your reality to make others who don't know about our mystical/mythical stories deceiving your followers to believe. Examples WHITE Patupaiarehe, u made him like a real man, when he was a mythical guide through the forests alike a big fairy.. An yous liken PATUPAIAREHE to be of the CELTS people right! Right. So why you all leaving out the RED PATUPAIAREHE
He was seen to b like fire, warning not to go any further within the bush or else death will fall upon u.. So as soon as u c this RED fairy my/our Tupuna used to turn back then change direction of travel as I was told by the old people. So
RED Patupaiarehe, I thought yous would have said they were REDSKIN INDIANS... Mythology to Realities AMAZING

There are thousands of stone constructions across the earth from Briton, France, Europe, Asia, the middle east, Egypt, Japan, north and south America, parts of the Pacific, in fact, they are found and continue to be discovered in just about every country. The construction shapes vary from blocks, walls, pyramids, circles, temples, buildings cut in mountains, and even spherical boulders. Many of the constructions have astonishing geometric shapes, no one can really explain how they were built, the alignments, the mathematics involved, how massive stones were moved, or who built them Although the age of many or most of these constructions is often debated and largely unknown, some have geological evidence for very advanced age. It is not inconceivable that similar constructions could exist in New Zealand i.e. walls made of massive stones (Kaimanawa) or spherical boulders. In fact, to adamantly state they don't, doesn't fit with the pattern in the rest of the world. Sadly most of the comments here focus on race and color! which has absolutely nothing to do with stone boulders.

So many people are constricted by the beliefs and opinions of their whanau, iwi, etc. that they have no ability to think for themselves - they are foolish. Your inquisitiveness and your wish to be factually informed is admirable. Histories are generally taught to blend in with political agendas of nations, and NZ is no exception. The current orthodoxy taught in NZ school curriculums and universities is in line with the narrative, that Maori were the first inhabitants of New Zealand, and any other evidence to the contrary is flat out dismissed as conspiracy theory, or unqualified non-academic opinions. Academic indoctrinations are emphasised on. There are numerous artefacts in NZ validating the fact that the country was inhibited long before the arrival of Maori. Artefacts, some of the most significant in Northland, the Government has placed a moratorium on.

DNA evidence section shows where everyone came from, pre-Moriori from Peru, Moriori from NSW ( related to aborigines near Sydney ) Maoris from Taiwan via the islands across to Hawaii, then down to NZ after being chased out of Hawaii and Tahiti, the native Hawaiians come from Eastern Coastal Canada/America, and the Europeans from England, France, and some Americans as well.
The Maoris made friends with the Moriori then killed, ate most, enslaved the women and children, and recently claimed that they were a subtribe of Maori.
After the massacre at Kaitorere Spit the few Moriori that escaped went out to their fishing island off the coast of Christchurch called the Chatham Islands, and when the British arrived and started buying land off the Maoris 2 Chiefs from Hawkes Bay forced a Captain to take them out to the Chatham Islands where they attacked, killed, and ate most of the remaining Moriori.
Some were kept as slaves, and when the British went out to the Chatham Islands to survey it, the Maoris sold most of it to them.
This history is factual, fully documented, and the original indigenous ARE NOT MAORIS, but my people, the Moriori.
UTU is being taken on the spirits of the Maoris at Spirits Bay, right now.
They are being held as slaves by the spirits of my people who were killed, and eaten, by these Maori invaders from Taiwan.

Some definitely made it all the way to South America in such antiquity that they lost the memory of it except in legends.

The thing about the Moriori arriving a couple of hundred years earlier has no basis in fact, it's a common misconception that was disproved in the 1970s - they were Māori who settled the Chatham Islands from mainland NZ, probably around 1500, and they underwent a cultural shift due to resource scarcity. Their language is a dialect of Māori most similar to the Ngāi Tahu dialect. They are genetically and culturally Māori and their early artefacts match those found on the mainland.
There are definitely some interesting and tantalising clues that people may have at some point visited NZ prior to Māori settlement, but there is no solid evidence that anyone other than the ancestors of Māori settled here for long enough or large enough numbers to leave any evidence. Contrast this to the viking settlement sites in remote parts of Canada - despite them not having managed to successfully colonise North America there is still plenty of evidence for the handful of attempts that they made.
Polynesian people are well known for erecting stone monuments similar to those of the neolithic period in Europe. There are some particularly impressive monuments in Tonga, for example, as well as the obvious Easter Island Maoi, and astronomically aligned monuments throughout western polynesia and micronesia.
The artifacts, stone monuments and carvings shown aren't stylistically different to other Polynesian examples found elsewhere, which is why archaeologists don't view them as being evidence for a non-polynesian culture on their own.
The whole idea that the archaeological community is taking part in a conspiracy to suppress knowledge for which evidence exists I find fairly unbelievable - archaeologists, and indeed any person who's gotten into a financially unrewarding profession, are doing the work mostly for the love of it, there is no incentive for them to hide things and indeed if there was any evidence contrary to the current understanding then surely they'd be all over it.
I have copied and pasted this from another korero and its written by a white guy and its the most informed korero that I have ever come across.

1000 years ago maori came isnt accurate this is approximately when Kupe was believed to have came. it is known in Polynesia Maui came before him. the descendants of Kupe breed with the people that were already here thus mixing blood. getting back to maori, maori is a word that was used to describe all tribes that had settled in nz pre the 16th-18th century not just the descendants of Kupe, this included the still living tribes that came before Kupe. in any case my point is that maori wasn’t just the descendants of Kupe it is all the living tribes when the name maori was first coined thus maori were here well before those rocks were placed.

Quite a history about the Maori - put the Inca's or the Aztecs to shame in degeneration. Outcast during the 13th century as weaker primitive Neolithic people by the invading Hawaiians & Tongans (Maori were from the original wave of primitive Asian/Melanesians pushed right out across the Eastern Pacific by successive stronger more advanced races coming from the west). They were outcast on rafts and some floated up in NZ stranded for 500 years. The weaker were pushed down to the South Island or Chathams etc. So the South Island Maori (had their own language) were the weakest of the weak. They were captured and eaten as 'Slave flesh' by the northern Maori doing raids. (Well they all ate each other - 80% of Maori pre European were dark skinned easily fattened slaves farmed and eaten by a lighter skinned 'Ariki' thin wiry elite royal caste). So it was with some righteousness as well as British cunning that they armed the southern Maori who then with muskets launched a genocidal war on the north.. That plus measles & flu halved the Maori population and removed most of the elite. The British then liberated the slaves and outlawed cannibalism. The northern Maori fought with the British against the south bad west Maori 'rebels'. The Maori sued for peace and a treaty was signed that removed all sovereignty and made them subjects to the English crown where the English would protect them from each other. Land could only be sold to or via the Crown. Maori could live on their reservations with native custom but none did. The treaty of Waitangi is strikingly clear in that the Maori cede sovereignty completely and become citizens of Great Britain - all 3 clauses lock that in. Nothing in today's 'Maori' culture is authentic. The music - all European (Maoris did not have tonal music, the songs are missionary tunes or introduced - Poi dance is from Islands and Stick dance from old Malaya. The carvings and art - all European - Arabesques that was the fashion at the time. Original Maori had limited dash carving and no painting of objects. No written language - all the syntax & grammar plus vowel inflection is European. No technology - some lagoon canoes and wood or stone Neolithic tools. No food sources - like pigs or crops - they left that all behind, all they had was a weak inbred fox (now extinct), some rats and a weak dismal pacific yam. They ate out all the bird-life, didn't know how to farm the sea as were island people and so they turned to societal cannibalism. Today - no full blood or half blood left. No genuine tradition and almost all are offspring of Maori slave females sold to white settlers for muskets or food. -So more fake than the 'Sioux' or 'Cherokee' or 'Crow' who had at least retained some genuineness about who they were and their history. -Everything you 'saw or experienced' is Fake. A totally convected disneyfied tokenistic set of inventions fueled by a grievance culture of mixed-race imposters fetishing a false past bad history because it pays benefits.

The people who believe this want to believe they have some sort of deeper tie to the land than the Maori because they want to feel special.

Your maori ancestors were not the first peoples in New Zealand, (see orgins of the word Aoteroa), they spent 3,500 years adrift. Lose your pride(the fall of satan). This not about "race" - we all came from the same boat! It is about a scared media and government, go see for yourself; Clements Rd (12kms in approx. on the left) - Kaimanawa "wall" - take a look it'll make you shiver. Split Apple Rock and Nelson Sea wall are all massive structures, 4,000+ years old! Forget the paradigm forced on you, stand up for Truth.
See; 'Skeletons in the Cupboard" series. NZ history is thousand of years, not a few hundred.
Heaps on RUclips on all of these, shame on you NZ (the land of the sheep).

@ JA: In what way does this information discredit Maori? It is stated by many Maori that they arrived here somewhere between 600 and 1,000 years ago (none being sure of the exact time) and that there were no other inhabitants. Do you mean that, because some Maori assert that they were the first inhabitants of New Zealand, they are now being discredited. If this is so, then those Maori only have themselves to blame. What is most naive, in fact bordering on the ridiculous, is to assert that these islands were never inhabited by any other peoples during the preceeding 4,000 - 6,000 years. Ignorance can be cured by knowledge, but there is no cure for idiocy.
