You guys make it so easy to enjoy your vlogs so thank you.❤️With all my kids, I always craved flounder and oysters, unfortunately they not keen, o well more for me🤪. Thanks again, have a beautiful week🤙
Growing up my parents love for flounder and oysters thankfully rubbed off on me. Yen not so much either though 😅 hope you also have an awesome week ahead ❤
It makes me so happy to hear everyone in this pronounce place names and te reo Māori words properly as a matter of course. Ātaahua. Ngā mihi ki a koorua, great vids!
Ngā mihi nui Karen ❤️🙂 We try our best as think it's important to respect te reo and Maori culture (actually any and every culture really!) so thank you for your kind comment 💕😊 Glad you enjoyed our video too 🙂👋
Love the part when Yen says.. ."moooo" to the cows and got such classic respond back":) Been staying in NZ many years and now realized there's so many beautiful places to see and appreciate. Thank you so much my dears for opening my eyes.
🥰 New Zealand is like a treasure box of beautiful things. Sometimes you take things for granted when you live in one place for a long time glad these videos helped you with that mum.
Hello there you two! Glad to make your acquaintance. This popped up on my Recommendations the other day - watching it again. My family from near here. Watched two other videos of you - now hooked! I'm a little bit of a Johnny-come-lately but I want to hop onboard your adventure bandwagon too; so I have a little catching up to do. Isn't it a nice feeling to have, the travel-bug! Might get me started again. Take care.
Hi Francis 👋 thanks for watching our videos and leaving us the nice message 😁👍 do hope you enjoy watching and traveling around is always fun 🌿 have an awesome weekend
Awesome vlog guys. Nz have the most magical forest, flora & fauna...Imagine the fresh air. Not to mention the best fish N chips, love the raw fish dish too. 👍
Omg loves the little mini interviews with locals. Um and hiking with no creepy crawlers YASSSSS the fish and chips looked so good and omg the cows crossing 😂😂😂 I would’ve gotten out I’m obsessed with cows
Hahaha you are in for a treat when you eventually come and visit New Zealand cause if it's one thing we got a ton of it's cows 😂 you and yen can moo at them together 😆
I really enjoy watching you guys! You're very thorough in your travels and your speaking. Out of all the vlogs I have watched you guys are by far the best!
Thank you for watching these vlogs. Yen and I had an awesome time making them too. Currently spending some downtime in Auckland but can't wait to get back on the road again. New Zealand really has stunning scenery 🌿😁❄
Javi has been obsessed with the biggest things in the world lately and we were watching a few videos that had the biggest kauai tree in them. It’s incredible! Nice tours of your Airbnb’s. Short and sweet. The walks you did were beautiful! So peaceful.
Hahahaha I've watched similar videos and seen tane mahuta in them too... really happy we finally got to saw this massive kauri for ourselves. You guys would totally enjoy the walks too 🌿👍 the kids should be able to walk them without being carried which is a plus 😂
Love a nice clean and immaculate accommodation like you guys stayed there. Ah yeah hardly any bugs in NZ, that is nice! Yesss, fish and chips, looks amazing!!! That fish n chips shop has a great view too, that’s a bonust point 👍🏻 The largest tree in NZ, that’s so cool guys! Haha love the ending with cows blocking the road. On the bright side you can stop and enjoy the NZ nature view on the road 😍
😁 yeah it's kinda crazy how many stops there are for points of interest here in New Zealand. We just drove from cambridge to Napier and found so much cool stuff to stop off for including a hidden waterfall 😍
Guys! Thanks for taking us along the beautiful nature! The visuals are so relaxing and pretty. 😊 We will definitely put it on our travel destinations list.
The kauri trees are truly spectacular. They live for so long and they have such an interesting growth curve. Starting their life skinny then becoming tall and once they mature becoming thick and short while co existing with the rest of the forest... Amazing
That's a really nice place and looks so cosy!! hhahaha Jandals all the way! Those rock formations are amazing and so big! Fush and Chups bro!! lol That's a good son, helping mum out at the shop. crazy views! OMG lord of the forest is so epic!! Peter you can now check that off your bucketlist. I'm like mind blown at the age of those trees. hahah human herders, dogs called in sick that day.
Yes, it does look like an enchanted forest on the boulder trail. Nice try communicating with those cows! That AirBnB was just lovely and an incredible price. Tane Mahuta is absolutely epic. A sacred tree, full of life. We definitely enjoyed coming on this trip with you. New friends here.
Thanks for awesome series, the Northlands look beautiful. Cant wait for the borders to reopen to visit NZ again. Hopefully we get an Australia and NZ travel bubble soon 🤞🤞
No worries Matthew glad you enjoyed the series 🤞 we are hoping for that trans tasman border to open too and maybe throw in some islands along the way. That'll be a good start to things getting back to normal 👌
Unfortunately in the past a lot of New Zealand Bush was burnt down to make farm land. But these days we are extremely careful with the remaining forests which is awesome to see. Fingers crossed Brazil will do the same in the future. The Amazon is an amazing place would love to visit one day!
Really is incredibly beautiful here in New Zealand yen n I are very blessed to have grown up here 😊 hope you get the chance to visit again sometime in the future 😊✌
some big boulders there nice views in the forest too ah fish and chips nice cool drone views and that hotel well its functional awesome forest that tree is amazing a cool waterfall too oh oh cows everywhere *got our like👍Au👍and a total view with pleasure*
Aaaaargh!!! You both have been such a light for me during this crazy panademic. Im from Auckland originally but have family/my nan from the Hokianga!!! It's such a beautiful thing to see N.Z properly represented and accurate in regards to facts and the heritage behind the places. Bless you both!!! Look forward to your channel growing bigger.
Thank you so much for the kind words ❤️❤️🙂 Glad you've been enjoying our videos! It is such a crazy time in the world right now ay but hang in there! Things have to pass and will get better again 🤞🍀🌻🙂 Take care and stay safe! ❤️
Those forests are pretty amazing!! That tallest tree is so unique looking, the trees around it are really different in comparison! It's so cool how similar they are to BC here in Canada even though it's literally on the other side of the earth! Great video guys!!
Plan on seeing as many great forests of the world as possible, but so far tane mahuta has been the most amazing tree we've met 😊🌿 Canada is def on the bucket list too you guys have some amazing scenery
Horeke is my whenua. Many generations of Taylor’s have come from that very area. Motukiore specifically. How beautiful to stumble upon this video at random and be reminded of the wairua of my land. Tautoko and Aroha to you both
Awesome Airbnb! We love the clean look too 🙌🏼. Haha Yen’s so cute waving at the cows 🐮.Those boulders really are gigantic 😱😆. The Tane Mahuta tree is so cool! I went there when I was little, would love to go back. Mmm fish and chips! They look so tasty! Awesome vlog guys! We always look forward to watching it! Love how Peter’s always wearing his jandles even though it looks a little cold too 🥶😂🙌🏼.
Thanks heaps Lana! Glad you enjoy our vlogs ❤️😊 we've got a bunch more from NZ coming up, currently on another road trip! Hope you're both doing well 🤞🙂💕 are you guys in turkey still?
We also appreciate immaculate Airbnbs like this one, especially now. Good choice, Peter. You're hiking in sandals?! Noooo. Hahaha It looks like you guys had the trail all for yourselves. What a lovely fish shop. We would be all over Yen's plate. 2,000 years old?! That's amazing. We would want to see that too. It's so sad when the camera don't make justice what an experience.
Hahaha hiking in sandals is all good as long as it's not wet 😁 winter here in New Zealand means there's a lot less people at the tourist activities so we've been lucky in getting a lot of these attractions to ourselves. Fish and chips is a solid choice 😁👍 tane mahuta is definitely something you appreciate even more in person ❤🌿😊
Aww at yen waving at the cows lol - definetly something i would do too hahaha. Awesome 3 part series, loved it. NZ you absolute beauty. We're planning a 3 week sth island rd trip in jan 2021 - cant wait if its anything like Northland! Thanks Peter & Yen!
Heya Jessica 😁👋 o my gosh 3 weeks in south island jealous! It's quite different from the north island both are really beautiful. Think you're gonna be in for an amazing time. January is good sunny weather too. Hahaha yen's such a dork but it does have it's own charm, cow whisperer 😂
Hokianga Harbour looks incredible! Love the blue water! This is a great stop. OMG I'm craving for fish and chips now! would love to try the raw fish with coconut milk!
Such a nice way to end the road trip. Glad to see Peter fulfilling his childhood dream of seeing the Lord of the Forest. Will definitely check all these places out 😊
😁👍 yes it was so good to finally see tane mahuta.. still can't believe it took us so long to get there. Better late then never though 😂 yen n I enjoyed this trip so much we are now on another roadtrip 😁👍 if you visit these places please let us know what you think 👌
I have a photo from about 30 years ago of a friend standing right in front of Tane Mahuta before they stopped people doing that. You really get a much better Idea of the size when you see a tiny person right up next to it.
Your stay is amazing, and for a great price! "Yen is waving at a cow" 😆coz... why not!! 😍Mooooooo hahahaha!! So cute!!!! The cows there are so fluffy!!
Another great video from your NZ series! Definitely makes me wanna visit! Wish the situation gets better real soon so we can travel safely and enjoy the beautiful views there! That is definitely a beautiful looking forest - straight out of a fantasy movie! You must be a skilled hiker haha, you’re wearing sandals and make the walk through the forest seem very easy! The fish and chips looks absolutely amazing - i haven’t had fish and chips in a long time and this is making me hungry! $90 is definitely a great deal for accomodation! Great video once again! ♥️ take care!
Hi Alditha glad you've been enjoying the northland vlog series 😁👍 definitely fingers crossed that the world recovers from this virus soon would be nice to be able to travel the world at some point. But for now yen n I are totally enjoying our home 😁🤙
I love how you were waving at the cows Yen! hahaha love it. Raw fish is the BEST. Yum. And to think I used to hate it. Rarotonga helped me decide that actually it;s amazing!
hiya. its me again lol. another great vid, gotta agree with yen fish n chips one of my favs too. looking forward to the next batch of vids. take care both yeah
wow thank you for the tour vlog, i didnt even realize te matua was their, and i live in the north island lol too busy working we dont even get to see our own country. looking forward to seeing more from your vlogs. cool as
Te matua is an amazing tree for sure 👍 highly recommend visiting hokianga for the beautiful scenery. Might need to hold off on the travel again now that there's community spread in Auckland 😅
My samoan friend at my first job used to make the meanest oka which he would share with me during lunch. That's the good stuff! 🤤 even beats fish n chips for my rankings 😅
awww man i watched all 3 vlogs of your northland trip and its making me wanna go on a roadtrip..just waiting for lockdown to blowover.. lol nz is so beautiful man and i loved all the little airbnbs you guys stayed at ....
Heya Mia 👋🙂 How you been? Aw glad you enjoyed our Northland road trip vlogs 😁❤️ NZ is so pretty ay! Yea ikr can this whole corona virus please just go away now ay 😅😅
Great views and hikes.... truly an enchanted forest! Very unique! Very happy to hear that there were no bugs! I’m curious, do Kiwis ever eat fish & chips with malt vinegar?
Heya ray how's everything going with you? Usually fish n chips are eaten with tomato sauce or aioli. Don't hear of anyone eating with vinegar. Maybe you're onto a new trend 😁👍
Peter and Yen Like you guys, 2020 has been a year of cancelling trips! With the recent uptick in virus cases in the US, we decided to cancel our short Grand Canyon trip. By the way, the Brits eat fish and chips with malt vinegar.... so vinegar is served in the US with fish and chips. I always eat my French fries with ketchup unless I’m having fish and chips. Any more cooking videos in the near future?
Ooo I see! Thanks for sharing Ray 👍 nah no new cooking videos any time soon.. but more road trip ones after this week 😁🇳🇿 Stay safe and take care over there!
Pretty good. Pretty respectful and knowledgeable. There are taller Kauri but they are really deep in the Waipua forest. I'm a little disappointed there were no shots of the harbour opening or the twin taniwha but that's a local nitpicking haha
Nah lots of the islands have their own version of the raw fish and call it something different. In Raro it's ika mata but like in Samoa it's called oka 🙂👍 Peter loves that stuff, it is rather tasty!
We drove up northland over summer all the way to the cape, pretty amazing with all the raw Maori history and the beaches are absolutely gorgeous. Would be great travelling now without many tourists, Tane Mahata was crowded when we went couldn't get a good family photo! 🙃
Traveling in winter and post lockdown has definitely been awesome, so empty everywhere that it often feels like we have places all to ourselves 😍 Maybe you can make another trip if there's a stretch of sunny weather? 🙂
Good morning. What a beautiful B&B👌 Yen you so cute waving at them cows😊 Of course Peter wearing jandles while Yen is very much covered 😂 You guys making me miss NZ😍aaawwww and the kiwi accent🤙 Yummy fishnchips and raw fish, you guys are winning, pity about the flounder😋my fav❤️ you guys are so good with your pronunciations👏 Much alofa’s😍😍

Tane Mehuta looks wonderful!! High tree tops...amazing plants and looks like a place where ppl come to film often how nice!

Great pronunciation and making an effort.

No worries Matthew glad you enjoyed the series 🤞 we are hoping for that trans tasman border to open too and maybe throw in some islands along the way. That'll be a good start to things getting back to normal 👌
Beautiful videography especially the drone footage...thanks.
Thank you glad you enjoyed the video 😊👍
Just being by the water is amazing.
That room is good for its price.
Sometimes that's all you need a nice bed and a bathroom
Yen and I often end up in rooms like this in Asia especially. A desk is the only additional thing we need while overseas to edit videos ✌
@@PeterandYen correct
These videos are really making me miss home, I love how you've captured everything too
😁 bro you sound like you're in need of a trip back home. Know that feeling all too well as soon as we leave too.
@@PeterandYen very much, our plans changed due to the covid
Ar damn true... fingers crossed things go back to normal soon 🤞
I love the fact that NZ is so careful with the environment. I hope one day here in Brazil we put that much effort to protect our forests as well!
Unfortunately in the past a lot of New Zealand Bush was burnt down to make farm land. But these days we are extremely careful with the remaining forests which is awesome to see. Fingers crossed Brazil will do the same in the future. The Amazon is an amazing place would love to visit one day!

Totally man New Zealand nature is really hard to beat. So much lush greenery everywhere 🌿
Great little road trip. We missed our visit to NZ this year sadly because of the weird times so this is a proper tonic. Thanks for sharing :)
That's a shame but hopefully you'll be able to visit when our borders reopen again 🙂👍 glad you enjoyed our video in the mean time!
Ika mata! Remember you guys eating that in Rarotonga and drooling over it every time. Reminds us so much of kinilaw from the Philippines
On point about Kinilaw. Definitely tastes close to it. 👍
🤤🐟 kinilaw gona have to try that as soon as we arrive in Philippines!
Loving those Hokianga harbor views! After finally being able to travel again here in Malaysia, we appreciate being by the water more than ever!
😁 feels like an instant lift in spirits when you're next to the ocean right? Something much needed after all this pandemic stuff 😅
03:16 what a beautiful forest walk. It's like one of those scenes from the Princess Mononoke, the Japanese animation. Impressive!
Yeah so beautiful right! Not really a well known attraction here in New Zealand so we're happy to have stumbled upon it.
Horeke is my whenua. Many generations of Taylor’s have come from that very area. Motukiore specifically. How beautiful to stumble upon this video at random and be reminded of the wairua of my land. Tautoko and Aroha to you both

I remember Tane Mahuta when I visited there away back in the 70s. Back then they even allowed you to touch it.
😍 woah must have been awesome to walk right up to tane mahuta, it's a real shame about kauri dieback disease...
I have a photo from about 30 years ago of a friend standing right in front of Tane Mahuta before they stopped people doing that. You really get a much better Idea of the size when you see a tiny person right up next to it.
The lord of the forest reminds me of the place in princess mononoke where the forest spirit was 😃

My samoan friend at my first job used to make the meanest oka which he would share with me during lunch. That's the good stuff! 🤤 even beats fish n chips for my rankings 😅

Cheers bro, appreciate the nod of approval on the Maori pronunciation 😁👍 the far north is amazing for sure
I’m absolutely obsessed and in love with New Zealand I cant wait to visit and possibly live their just hope amazon ships here😁😁😁
Amazon does ship here 😁👍usually no free shipping though 😅
LMAO Peter with the jandals of course 😂😂😂
😆👍 he swears they're more comfortable and sturdy for him than regular shoes lol
seeing those fish and chips made my mouth water...can't get such nice fish and chips here in taiwan...or least haven't found a place yet
Sounds like a mission you gotta complete Michael 😆👍
Great video guys! 🥰
Thanks Emily glad you enjoyed it 😁✌
Peter's gotta keep it on brand with his jandals even when rock climbing haha
Jandals 4 life 😆
Pretty good. Pretty respectful and knowledgeable. There are taller Kauri but they are really deep in the Waipua forest. I'm a little disappointed there were no shots of the harbour opening or the twin taniwha but that's a local nitpicking haha
Must be super local knowledge! 👍 We tried to Google about twin taniwha in Hokianga but couldn't find any info haha
I am super impressed by your pronounciation.
Thank you 🙂👍as kiwis we gotta try get the te reo Maori right
Ugh just what I needed omg!! Harry cows😫😫😫😫😫🥰🥰🥰😍😍
😂 Sundai... another cow fan with yen. Yen also wants to find a place to see these sheep with black fur on their faces 😅
I'm love urs v.blog, keep it on...
Thank you! Yen and I are currently on another road trip so the vlogs will keep rolling 😁👍
@@PeterandYen , Hi guys, me n my wife, impressed with living in NZ.... ( We think here better than NZ
neighbor,)
Btw, we stay in Singapore now...
The thumbnail and the title are just perfect together. The Lord of the forest and there is Peter
😂😂😂
😆🤔😂
Amazing video bro
Cheers bro 👌😁
Is that raw fish dish that Peter had is a traditional Rarotonga food and only available there? looks good, seems like a semi salad dish.
Nah lots of the islands have their own version of the raw fish and call it something different. In Raro it's ika mata but like in Samoa it's called oka 🙂👍 Peter loves that stuff, it is rather tasty!
HAS to be made with super fresh fish, but yeah, all the pacific islands have a version so it’s well known here, and yummy.
Soo beautiful and full of cows
Loooove cows 😍😍😍
😊 those highland cows are particularly cute with all that shaggy hair 😁
Peter wearing jandal while Yen was trying not to dirty her white vans! haha
Haha it was tough but I managed to keep them pretty clean despite muddy patches 😆
Love ur videos......n ya I didnt skip ur adds...lol...goid to see u guys.
Thank you Jayeeta for your support, appreciate it ❤️
Those fluffy cows! Looks like they acknowledged you, Yen! 😂
Hahaha that wasn't scripted yens moo worked
Wow Vanessa was there when we were last here almost 2 years away.... buzzy lol
Aw wow nice! She's so knowledgeable ay 🙂❤️
