I tried my best to find games that didn't have a "to be announced" release date! Starship Simulator says 2025 on their site, but TBA on Steam, so apologies for that.
Thank you so much for showing our game. I apologise for the TBA, we are absolutely aiming for an early access release Q4 2025 but we all know how game dev can be, so we don't want any broken promises :)
Thank you for the response! Your game looks incredible, and yeah think I got excited when I saw the date on your site. Please don't rush it though, I can tell you're putting in tons of effort here!
What, no Star Citizen? Oopsie, sorry, I misread the description as 2052! 🤣 Most of these look great, but Citizen Sleeper 2 really caught my eye, cheers!
Mars Tactics, Fallen Frontier, Void Wars, and Capital Command are all high on my interest list along with many of the others. I expect to be disappointed by the weapon inventory in Falling Frontier because I think it will be all Projectile weapons, Missiles, and Torpedoes while I prefer my space scifi settings to have lots of Energy weapons. Edit: Star Home looks like a lot of fun, and Remnant Protocol looks like the closest thing we'll probably get to a new X-Com Interceptor for a long time, if ever, with a Colony Wars I or most Star Wars Starfighter focused games vibe to the story. Edit: Fortunately it looks like in the Black has a wider variety of common weapons then The Expanse (The Expanse had a few Energy Weapons near the end of the series but they were very rare.)
In The Black has had scarce dev posts on steam discussions. And someone stated that the discord link is broken recently. So I think it's just never coming out.
Jump ship is the one i am waiting for! ever since i saw that it was a CO OP game on a ship and on foot FPS i was excited for it. I've Played void crew but feel like its missing something
Interesting, a few people have mentioned something missing from Void Crew. But I'm glad to see more games like this coming out, it's such a good concept for co-op!
Funny enough I will probably like Astrometica better than Subnautica if it's "close enough". Not Because it's the better game but because Subnautica produces an absolute primal fear in me with it's deep Oceans and alien horrors that will eat me alive. You know, like our Oceans :D So yeah I have Thalassophobia. The fact I still enjoyed Subnautica despite my need for brown pants while playing kinda speaks volumes about it.
Yeah that is the very reason I stayed off Subnautica, deep waters freak me out. This is similar, especially when coming out of your station, but it doesn't give off that scary mood as being deep in an ocean. It's a lot more pleasant :)
Nice list! Mars Tactics looks like it could be a winner. I'm not a fan of the direction the modern X-COM games went (although they're great in their own right) and I can only play Open X-COM and Xenonauts so much.
Astrometica, Era One, Dune Awakening, Falling Frontier, Remnant Protocol, Fragile Existence, In the black and Jump Ship. I am eagerly waiting for Jump Ship, I was largely disappointed by Void Crew fun but lacking of interesting maps, more stations to visit, on foot combat... Exactly what Jump ship promise, I can't wait. Also, Dune Awakening, I'm 41 and I've been a fan of Dune since the very first pc game by Virgin Interactive. I was also disappointed by Villeneuve's movies which don't respect the novel or the author. So I'm really hoping this game is going to be fun. Spice wars is already very good with great and fun ideas, hope that one will get more DLC. Last space game I played with my friends was Avorion and we all got burned out of the grind for new equipment and a disappointing nothing in the center of the galaxy. Astrometica looks a lot like Breath Edge which was lacking of features and area to explore. Fun nonetheless. Always loved Stellaris but there are so many DLC and each game takes so much time, I'm not sure I want anything similar. Out of all co-op space game, Pulsar Lost Colony is still high in my list, it's hard to find similar games and ones that aren't so clunky. I still think of Hellion and Interstellar Rift, both started to be amazing but were eventually abandoned by the devs, I always hope to find something similar working so well. Since I don't really feel like playing alone anymore, as I'm getting bored, I'm mostly looking for titles with co-op and too many cool space games are solo only.
@@ObiKKa Oh damn... Well, maybe it is the same story as with Falling Frontier? I thought that one was a no go for a long time as we learned their trailer was pure CGI and the project did the not move until the public started to ask tons of questions.

@@imunfathomable I think Falling Frontier has taken that spot. It's been releasing "next year" since 2018 and has been included on every one of these lists since then
@shoutingstone I mean... You're right... But I can't help but think that "here's a new screenshot of my new Concept Artist's freighter concept" is much more worth getting excited over, even if I do want more. As opposed to, "Here's a Cruiser. It costs 40,000 actual dollars!"
@@DukesUp1 They always add much, but they need to add ships because, unlike other games, Star Citizen relies on the community to donate or buy things from them. And if you think about how many developers they have and how long they have worked, then even the 750 million they made with crowdfunding is quickly gone. Star Citizen uses completely new things, such as server meshing, that should be added very soon.
Jumpship is literally the only one on the list I care about. Dune Awakening *might* be good, but I've just got a feeling it's going to be a pretty empty space "Rust". Falling Frontier might be a good diversion for a while, we'll have to see.
Spot on with DA! Will be a lot of sand with large rocks sticking out of it that probably has caves with the odd enemy. Will also be full of player bases scattered everywhere making it seem a bit weird and more than likely every player you meet will instantly try to shoot you... or that was my experience!
Interested in Astrometica as I loved Subnautica and the Below Zero. Looking forward to Subnautica 2 (or 3 depending on how you look at it). Not going to play Dune : Awakening though, as I seriously have issues with that "game" due to being "persistant"!!
@@alexk5386 ich auch. XD mal abwarten. steam hat wohl durchgemistet und dabei einige sachen rausgeworfen die noch kein fsk haben. auch aus meiner wunschliste sind einige sachen verschwunden.
Let's hope it's not one or two that sell like crazy, while the others are ignored. This happened to a party-based, isometric space cRPG with space and land combat, called "Stellar Tactics". Not sure if this great RPG will ever be noticed, with most media only interested in new games....!
I'm sorry. But "In The Black" is just never coming out. The followers have given up on it with scarce posts on Steam discussions from the devs. Someone also stated the discord link may have been broken recently. Other than that, everything else is on track for release.

We just worked on getting ITB ready for Germany, if there is anyone from there can you see if the game is still restricted for me please?" They do seem very active on there, so perhaps it's just taking a bit longer than expected? My fingers are still crossed.
Astrometica clearly stole a bunch of models from Subnautica, just look at the base for example, these are exactly the same models, just with different textures.
So when is the actual date for release? Oh that's right it dosent have one! Perpetual "soon" is the time frame for Chris Robert's cultists. Give it up, Star Scam is never going to release SQ42. 😂
