@Eggymations Hell yeah! Especially when he powers down when he does it. It's a very nice touch for something like Ki Manipulation. Would also be a great way to further progress with super saiyan, without even needing a new form or power up. Just make different kinds of tactical offenses/defenses.
It perfectly showcases not only his pride, but that stubborn refusal to lose even if you’re body’s being beat. THAT shit was one of the most accurate Vegeta details I’ve ever seen in media and it was from a _fan_
@@MO-zk8qs Hell Yeah!!! See it's that type of shit that made us actually fall in love with Vegeta and his journey. Then they swiftly kicked us in the balls.
Not only does the super saiyan transition look great, it’s also a great example of show don’t tell for how hard vegeta is getting hit, since he keeps being knocked out of super saiyan and having to power back up into it
I love the idea of every Saiyan having "their own Super Saiyan". Broly's is a berserker, Vegeta's is a "regular" SSJ, because it's smooth, focused, looks like something "royal", and Goku's is just straight up a wild beast, because he's channeling his rage into it when activating. Really makes SSJ more interesting and something "one of a kind" for everyone
I love how they did broly in this. Every single punch broly throws lands with so much force that it knocks vegeta out of super saiyan, he can barely remain conscious after getting hit by broly, let alone powered up. Meanwhile every single attack vegetable threw at broly got shrugged off, except for the ki blade he had to pour all of his energy into.
It also shows a pretty high level of training and discipline that Vegeta has as well, since he is able to immediately reactivate his super saiyan state.
They started bringing it back a bit in Broly's movie, but you're right. It's not enjoyable watching two rock-em-sock-em robots hitting each other over and over again with no thought given to their movements and mindgames, trying to predict the movements of their opponent. Dragonball's spirit rests firmly on the fundamentals of true martial arts.

And that whole Ki Saber thing might be my favorite thing ever, it's much more interesting than what Rosé and Vegito do given that Vegeta has to sacrifice the transformation in exchange for an intensely focused Ki Blade, turning him into an ultimate glass cannon.
