I love how Monkey King Goku fights. It's animalistic, wild, but not MINDLESS. It's a deliberate reversion to a more untamed fighting style, reflecting Sun Wukong being the untamed human spirit, but it's not skilless like Broly.
It's a bit like Asura's Berserker form. You can still tell he's a combative genius through all the murder and flames

I feel like this should be Goku's final form to come full circle. Monkey King Saiyan. The truest, purest rage, and he utilizes his power pole in this form for combat like he used to.
Fr instead of just changing hair style and color pls give him a more badass final form
That's the reason why I really like SSJ4 although non cannon it goes full circle with a Monkey form.

This is what I'd think a first super saiyan transformation would look like.
I picture it like False Super Saiyan. Uncontrolled, but when refined becomes the classic Super Saiyan.

The official team has weeks to animate weekly 22 minute episodes. The original creator of this took 4 years and it’s only 7 minutes
@@requiem550 That is correct but it is also because the team is kinda small, imagine what they could do if the team was larger. I believe they will get there eventually.

i know the last bit where goku remembers chi is meant to be wholesome but i can't think of it without thinking of what if she was just passed out and he was just talking to a wall

Everything about this animation was amazing. If Dragon Ball ever had a reboot that continued off of the original Dragon Ball, with a slightly modified ending so that it instead didn't go into Z, without a doubt, this would've been an amazing direction to go.
That monkey king form looks like Super Saiyan 5, to be honest. Or maybe even Super Saiyan 10. Super Saiyan X has a nice ring to it, I think! Very fitting for this form! I loved Super Saiyan 4 from GT, too bad it's not considered canon.
I wish Dragon Ball would make a series in this type of style with this more brutally intense sort of side like how Z and GT had, as opposed to Super's more light hearted side. The creators of this animation did the fandom proud! And the song truly was fitting that you added in, as well! Thank you for showing me this masterpiece! 😄👍✌

This animation is legit so sick. One thing that always bugs me out about it though, is that vegeta somehow knows the kamehameha technique? He and goku never met prior to this fight, so unless the origins of the move are changed in this AU, he wouldn’t know it. Even then I can’t think of any way both of them would be able to use it, seeing as their backgrounds are so different. I know it’s a little petty thing but I just can’t help but think about it.
The reason Vegeta can do the kamehameha is because this goku form is based off of Son Wukong From Journey to the West which is also the inspiration for goku in original dragon ball. One of Son Wukong's Abilities was to temporarily lend someone his power, hence why Vegeta can use the kamehameha. It also makes a hype ass scene.

Also, Goku and Vegeta did met prior to this, after all Goku tells Vegeta at the end of the fight to not call him Kakarot, and some other scenes that implied that they knew each other already

Whoever is responsible for animating the part where Goku transforms must get in touch with dragon ball's lead creative animation director. Those oldies need to learn about obtaining more, interesting, and creative ways to perform overly long and drawn out transformations so that they are far more impactful and make use of unique animations for many scenarios.

You're right. This form is much better than dragon ball super. If Broly was cannon and at it the way. he did in the Legendary super saiyan movie. This would have been the perfect way for Goku to transform.

i like the transformations that eventually came with super saiyan and others but, somewhere along the way toriyama forgot that goku is meant to be a modern adaptation to wukong´s journey (obviously not exactly like that) because after some point everyone´s tails were chopped and that was it, no more monkey form ever
