My 2019 has a small tick ever since I bought it. It now has 34,000 miles on it. It’s a 6.2.

Had this problem for a while since I bought my F150 2012 5.0 coyote and I'm gonna try it out if it works. Damn thank you

my 2014 6.2 had a real small bit of a tick on first start from new, always goes away in a few seconds of starting up. Last couple days it is worse than it was and it got me looking into what it could be, I was dreading the same lifter/lash adjuster issues as the 5.4 3v. This gives me some hope...other than the backorder problem. Time to start hunting around.

Don't quote me on this, but i think that they might have added the IMRC intake on 2017 and up 6.2l. So your tick might be a lifter or exhaust manifold leak.

My 2019 has that same ticking. I have noticed every time I shut it off the ticking stops, so I figured it has something to do with the engine.

Mine had the tick and out of nowhere it just stopped its on a 2019 6.2 L I did replace the igniters the tick got real bad but after couple hundred miles it just cleared up out of nowhere and after changing the igniters the truck performed like new on the accelorater

I started to venture down the road of deleting the IMRC, through tuning, but cant get anybody to confirm wether or not it would cause driveability or performance issues

      Check with 5 star tuning

I am currently fighting dealer on this right now.... If I understand it right, think of the IMRC in intake as like 2 barrel to 4 barrel carb as open and closes... I also believe it fails open... so low end kind of a bog feeling high end its already open... hopefully I can convince dealer as I have coverage right now

@@ebaum1000 yes it was the intake manifold. Unplug the electrical connectors going to the sensors on the manifold and it will stop.

Hey there, were you able to resolve this issue yet? I have a 2017 doing the same thing, and stops when i unplug. A ford tech told me that on the 2017 and older , that the actuators could be replaced as long as the rod going into the intake wasn't broken. I haven't dug into mine yet.

it looks like there is an IMRC delete, and then you can tune it to delete the IMRC in the computer

@Mr90sihatch My 2017 F-250 was doing the same thing. It would stop when I disconnected the vacuum hose on the left side intake rail actuator. I put some truck grade seafoam in the tank and it eventually just stopped making the noise.

Should be a recall on these you would think if not you should look into buying an aftermarket one or going to a junkyard

My 2017 F250 with 19,000 miles has a small ticking . Seems to me all 6.2 engines need a new intake.fucking junk

@@kenj.8897 ... Right, I' m done with Ford also. I've had 4 or 5 recall notices come in the mail for my 2017 F-250 . Two of them a dealer ( Atchinson Ford) refused to fix. One being the death wobble , second , doors freezing up. I took it to another dealer and they told me to bring it in that I didn't even need a recall notice for wobble . They changed the stabilizer , never had another wobble.

Only ticking in mine is from the stupid coil packs shorting out and sparking. So in regards to the other ticking in this video I understand that unplugging those 2 will make it stop but what is actually ticking?

I am in the market of buying a 18-21 F-250 6.2l Crew cab but seeing these problems that Ford has of the IMRC and it being on backorder for years makes me think I should look at Chevy or Ram.
