January 30, 2000, Super Bowl XXXIV at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Georgia, was the first Super Bowl to be broadcast in high definition (HD) and Dolby Digital 5.1. ABC chose to use the 720p format.
The first two quarters of Super Bowl XXXIV were largely a defensive battle. Despite outgaining the Tennessee Titans in total offensive yards in the first half, 294-89, the St. Louis Rams held only a 9-0 halftime lead on three field goals. St. Louis later scored their first touchdown midway through the 3rd quarter to go up 16-0.
Tennessee then responded by scoring 16 consecutive points to tie the game with 2:12 left in regulation. This was the largest deficit to be erased in a Super Bowl and the first deficit that was greater than 10 points. On the Rams' ensuing drive, quarterback Kurt Warner completed a 73-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Isaac Bruce to regain the lead. Steve McNair drove the Titans to the St. Louis 10-yard line with six seconds remaining, but on the final play of the game, Rams linebacker Mike Jones tackled Tennessee wide receiver Kevin Dyson one yard short of the goal line to prevent a potential game-tying touchdown. The Rams went on to win the game 23-16.

Being a Titan fan... all I can think about when watching this in retrospect is if they could have just mustered another yard somehow during that long drive downfield... very hard to watch if your a Titan fan. RIP McNair

I honestly don't think it would of made a difference when the pass is not in the end zone. In a perfect scenario McNair should of waited until the receiver reached the end zone before releasing the ball but that's easier said then done when you know the linebackers are a half second away from making a sack. If they would of scored and forced overtime it would of been a treat for all football fans.

I remember this heart break. I’ll put this up there when vinca young single handedly beat my USC Trojans in 2006.

I will never understand why they didn’t throw it in the end zone. You have two plays possibly if you throw it quick
