There are obviously some elements of ancient mind manipulation techniques hidden in the Kyoto dialect and culture. (Genjutsu, Shinobi no jutsu, Onmyodo, Heian Jidai court culture... so many references come to mind). I like the delicate and complex mentality behind it.
I could tell the difference between the two! The first was more direct and more agressive sounding than the second, and the second had a more cadenced sound to my ear.

In fact I live in Uji city in Kyoto, and from my point of view, the relationship between Osaka and Kyoto is very similar to that of America and British.
The relationship between Osaka and Kyoto is also similar to Surabaya and Yogyakarta in indonesia In terms of language and the relationship between the two is very similar to that of Osaka & Kyoto

Moving back to Osaka next month and so excited to hear the colourful Japanese again ❤️ and we do use "naosu" in Osaka to mean, "put back." Also it wasn't until I was an adult that I realised my mother has an extremely thick Osaka accent. My friend from Kyoto laughed at the way I would say くつ. So I'm a native Scottish English speaker, learned German in Bavaria and Japanese in Osaka 😅😅...it's a wonder anyone understands me ehehe
Hey, Im also half Japanese and have picked up a lot of 大阪弁 from my Mother, born and raised (for the most part) in German Switerland and somehow they say my English sounds American as fuck. I think thats the closest you're gonna get xd.
as someone who grew up with an 大阪人 mother I've confused so many Tokyo people when I'd use なおす in the kansai-ben way not realizing they didn't know what I meant hahahah

I’m here because I was listening to the podcast “Sayuri Saying” today. I noticed that Sayuri will kind of lean on particles in sentences. The tone goes up and she sits on particles for a beat. And I’m like…I think that’s a regional accent? But where would she be from, then? I’m new to “Sayuri Saying” because I’m new to Japanese. But now I’m curious about different speaking styles.
I think that’s just a general Japanese thing to pause with an emphasis on a particle. Maybe for briefly thinking of what to say by pausing? I’m not sure why exactly they do it, but I’ve heard that from Japanese people in general

The naosu meanings make sense to me because in my language the word for fix/repair can also mean to organize/arrange.
