Thanks so much for watching and I hope you enjoyed. Leave any future video ideas you would like to see in the comments below and don't forget to subscribe!
Drew exudes humility and kindness over and above being a genius at what he does. It's such a pleasure to watch this channel.
Totally agree with you
Me too x
Well said!
you described exactly how I feel about Drew. He is a genius, but his kindness and very pleasant personality is what makes him even more of a success.
100% agree. Drew is definitely a joy to watch.
The second one was my favorite. I wasn't getting it when you were adding the pieces, but the final was fabulous. The wood ceiling looks so beautiful with those changes, too. Rail change looked great!
Same! When he was adding pieces and we could only see the black and white sketch of the room, I was thinking that it kinda looked like they had just thrown a bunch of leftover furniture into one room but then I saw the final in color view and I immediately felt guilty for ever having doubted. Sorry Drew! 😂
Agreed with everything from both comments! The only thing I was sure about was painting the panelling. I love the look of painted panel in warm colors!
I fully agree!
I feel like we need updates/follow ups on these! We need to see what our fellow Lone Fox Family members ended up doing with the rooms! Did they follow your advice completely? Did they make some changes? Did they do the diy assignment? Did they go a completely different direction? We NEED to know!
Not Mariah having more bravery than I’ve ever had in my entire life! (Leaving a relationship/moving/shaving all her hair) 😳🫡👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
And she is stunning.
@@susanhunter1164 exactly what I was about to say
Right? She's a total warrior!
Brave, beautiful and bold! You go girl
Yes! She was braver than me, but I totally understand where she's coming from. I had my heart broken almkst a year ago, and sometime within the first few months after the breakup, I seriously considered shaving my head! I did chicken out, but opted for shaved sides for a fauxhawk, dyed it purple, and haven't regretted a moment of it since then! I have gotten more compliments on this hairstyle than any I've ever had before! Good for Mariah! She really is an absolutely gorgeous woman!
I had no idea what you were going to suggest with the second home, it was so dark and dated. It looked AMAZING!!! I hope they take your rendering and recreate all of it! I know you say you're not a professional interior decorator. but you are a professional interior decorator. Great Job!
Yes, this was my favourite one of the three. (But I did wonder what happened to the window on the back wall in the rendering.) All were amazing though.
I was shocked when he said he's not a professional! I totally thought he was! He is amazing at what he does!
And I agree, the second was the best of all three of these...my favorite!
@@robynw6307 I wondered too
Aww thank you so much!
Mariahs’s face is absolutely flawless she should be a model I can’t believe how absolutely beautiful her skin texture is on her face.
She has a filter on her skin, you can see the window beside her 'glitching' as she moves her head
@@TrishaAmrita I think that's from Drew blocking the carhartt logo?
@@TrishaAmrita she’s still a beautiful woman. Gorgeous features and rich, warm chocolate skin.
why she should be a model? should all pretty people be a model?
She was definitely a striking beauty! I said to myself as I was watching her that she is absolutely gorgeous! Amazing, bright smile, stunning deep, smokey eyes, and her bubbly personality just topped it all off!
“It’s more like a sports bra lamp” golden comment. Also, all the spaces are amazing!! But the mid century home makeover was 1000/10. I love your style!
I think the second makeover really took vision and an artists eye. It was a fresh and clean makeover.
Drew is one of the most intuitively talented interior designers on RUclips with an adorable personality to boot❣️
Awwwwww so sweet thank you!
The moulding strip is a picture rail. You can hang pictures from it with picture rail hooks without damaging the walls.
I came here to mention that!! They are great if you like to switch out art a lot because your walls won't get destroyed with a lot of different nail holes!!
That full length curtain in Mariah’s living room is such a great idea. I love it!
Yes!! Total hotel/minimal vibes
I loved the middle room. It was so outdated and your ideas completely brought it to the current time.
Mariah is STUNNING! I hope she finds her happy in Tennessee. love, love, love this series!
She has a perfect complexion!
Beautiful girl
I love this series
It would be wonderful to see the end result of what these people do with their spaces!
In an old WWDD comment section I saw him comment saying he hasn't ever received "after" photos from anyone :( I hope one day he will finally get some updates that he can share with us!
@@madsahren2208 Doesn't surprise me.
I think the wall-to-wall curtains in space #1 was a *GREAT* idea! 💡 👌🏾
Especially LOVED the fantastic difference you made in the second room! Those ideas completely transformed that room in the best way! I hope they use your ideas and get back to us all with the reveal. The railing idea was spot on and for you to think of replacing the door just kicked it up many notches! You may not be a "professional" designer Drew but you are considered one by those of us who follow you!" PS even pros turn over electric and plumbing to other pros.
You did it again, Drew! I just love your ideas for the living room - the choices of furniture, the layout and especially the idea of painting the wall white to separate the floor from the ceiling - chef's kiss! Thank you!!!!! xo
Ahhh Steven I am so happy you loved it! I also realized after that you needed some help with that small little breakfast nook spot! I feel like you should do some sort of little bistro style table there with 2 small chairs. I think it can be a super cute little breakfast nook but also styled as a game table with a chess board or something like that when it's not in use!
@@lonefox Love that idea of a bistro table that could also be a game table! You're the best!
I would love to see how it turns out
Wow that living room with new door & black railing might be one of the best I’ve ever seen you do Drew.
Thank You!
They were ALL stunning! #2 took my breath away. You need a series and a retail brand. You are phenomenal.
My favorite was the second one. What a transformation. I hope the guys follow your design. The white wall, railing change and new front door really made a huge difference. I can't imagine anyone could have designed that space better.
Space number two!! To be honest I wasn’t in love with the pieces as you chose them, but altogether it was a masterpiece! It just goes to show that you are a freaking genius. Cannot wait for you to buy a home to redo! I live for your makeovers!
It was definitely a 'trust the process' kind of moment. The end result was out of the park fabulous, though! I loved it!
It was a total mish mosh of items but i think because each item had a unique angular element, in the end it created a visually interesting area!
For the second home, I would love to see the living room made into a true sunken living room - remove the railing and extend the steps all along the part with the drop off!
I love that idea.
I LOVE this series. You’re time and talents are so appreciated.
I love that the 2 small pictures over Drew's right shoulder have a right-sided alignment, rather than the center alignment most ppl would choose! Visually appealing and a bit quirky. You're so original, Drew! 💙😘
And I loved all 3, but my fave makeover was Mariah's!
idea for Steven's place: turn the railing into a low built in bookshelf!
Agree, I was thinking about a bookcase in that area.
it's Steven and I'm also thinking of that idea! But I do love the metal railing.
@@StevenJKung-tj6kg I think I speak for many when I say we would LOVE to see your finished project! This room makeover definitely had the absolute most impact of the three! I'd love to see how your vision and Drew's come together! The idea of a bookcase is nice, however, something to consider is that it could close the space off and make it feel even more disconnected than it does with the current railing. Perhaps a narrow bookcase on each end, with the railing in between would give you the best of both worlds?
LOVEEE this idea as well! Makes it more of a functional use as well :)
I think it could be amazing to remove the railing completely and take the opportunity to have a sunken living room.
You could build a built in couch along that wall where the railing was and pair that built in couch with the pieces Drew chose. It would channel the soul of the house with a 70s high end feel !
Loved all of them, but the second transformation...omg, I couldn't imagine that space looking so modern.
It’s hard to pick a favorite when I love them all but the second one is AMAZING!!! The door and railing change really solidifies that choice for me! 🥰
It's crazy that just some new railing and a door can change the entire vibe of a space!
Wow, that word doesn't convey your innate ability fashion solve an area for living with soul. Number 2 was just perfection. I've decided to submit my floating home for your idea on how to make me fall in love with the design. You have an amazing flow of energy that bounces out to us and for that, thank you.
drew, thank you for another inspired makeover video! My favorite was the middle video of the wood-heavy living room makeover. You took that futzy, dark, grandma & grandpa space and transformed it with a cool, gentleman's club vibe perfect for 2 men who live there. I love how you worked that railing to seamlessly blend it with the existing craftsman/midcentury style architecture. You turned an eyesore into a design focal feature. Well done!!!
The second makeover - OMG - the whole vibe of the room changed. I love it!
My favorite was the first one at 5:36. You are so talented at what you do :) You took that room from gaudy to gorgeous like no one's business. It looks so classy and elegant now. Thanks for sharing
Oh my Mariah is so beautiful! Her home needs to reflect her beauty!
Drew! this design series - What would Drew Do? " is a great inspiration. I enjoy just hanging with you and listening to how you figure these spaces out. Here's some info about that molding in older apartments - it's a picture hanging hack from back in the day- yup ! It works by using an 'S' bracket that slips into top of molding - then the pictures are hung on a cord from the bracket. No nails needed.
I love these makeovers and seeing your visual renderings in the end-such talent! Mariah is a beautiful girl and I wish her all of the best on her new journey!
Love these Drew! Top tip for Sienna, that railing on the wall is a picture rail (if done correctly she can actually hang wall art from there with hooks), and painting the wall in the same colour on bottom and top of the picture rail, whilst leaving the picture rail white will give the effect of gorgeous tall ceiling! However stopping the paint colour at the picture rail and keeping the top part white will cut the height of the room way down.
All the originals were kind of sad but all 3 makeovers were unbelievably gorgeous. I can’t pick one, gotta go all three.
Also saw today where Garrett Le Chic complimented your skills! High praise-love you both😍
I loved all three, as usual with Drew's work, but my favorite was the first one. I like the Japandi style, and the art piece and the drapery was were both amazing! I love his sense of style; I don't believe that I've ever seen a makeover or refresh that he's done that I didn't like!
My favorite is the guys house! It’s gorgeous!! To me it kind of has a gentleman’s cigar room vibe. Fabulous! Also, good for Mariah in standing up for herself and being so bold and courageous! She’s gorgeous!! Loved her space too. All are fab!
I love the second design the best. it looks so warm and cosy. it sort of reminds me of a very stylish and expensive chalet in the Swiss Alps.
Omg! Love them all but definitely the second one. My mom was an interior decorator she is passed on I wish she was here to help me threw my new reno in my new house. I think I have a great design and I love watching you and many others on RUclips for inspirations. Thanks my mom would love watching you if she was still here.
All of the rooms look wonderful but the second one is my fave. It was the most transformed. Love the style. I’m confused about the last one because it looked like you redecorated her work/living room space. The other space had her bed in it. Anyway, great job Drew! You never disappoint. 👏👏👏
Same here, I love the 2nd one the most. Love the textures, colours the railings and the change of door. Just love it.
I love how Drew’s fashion style matches his design style❤
They all look amazing but the second one is just... Wow! You have such an eye for these things!
Wow, I loved all three, but I think my absolute favorite is Sienna’s bedroom. I love color, too, and I thought it came out so chic and warm. You may not be a ‘professional,’ but your designs are always spot on and something I would love if it was my space.
Number 2 hands down!!! Fantastic polished, mid century vibe. I was thinking the exact same thing for the railing before you added it!!! Great job on all of them and if you're not a professional designer then I don't know who is. You are up there with the big boys!
Yay! Fabulous way to start the day - A ‘What would Drew do video!!!💕
Wow Drew all 3 spaces are beautifully put together. You have such an eye and a real creator, while also thinking about the people who ultimately live in them. Awesome. I hope the Fox families do the makeovers and show us.
Oh, wow! The makeover room is insanely beautiful! Lovvvvve it!
Favorite space-I can’t decide between the first and second living room spaces. Drawing straws, the first. All three spaces are beautiful. You are not a professional interior designer?!! Wow! You don’t need to be! Your room makeovers not only are gorgeous, they make perfect sense. You are blessed with an incredible eye for design.
All three were incredible!! Loved them.
Hi Drew, welcome back; I missed you! The bedroom is gorgeous, and the bedside lamps are perfection.
I liked allll three. Great job Drew.
Loved them all, but that second one, with the sunken living room was such a huge transformation! Brilliant! ❤️
So glad to see you back. I agree, definitely one of the best WWDD episodes. The 2nd one is my absolute favourite!
you did a great job with each of them - especially like the men's living room, railing, door ideas!
Drew, I swear to God you are the most generous and kind person out there. SO nice of you to help people at a low, but hopeful point in their lives. Your generosity brings tears, actually. And you are right; the lady is beautiful. I know I am late to the party, but I had to say something. 🙂
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the second room! That mid-century vibe is everything! It looked GORGEOUS!
Love the look for the 1950s house and the recommended furniture ..sooo good!
All three rooms are totally amazing.
I liked the house with the massive amount of wood and the fearlessness of painting it. The railing was also so nice and less intrusive. Good job.
All three spaces were beautifully done!! Great job, of course! I really love the second space, with the railing and door change, it totally set that space!!!
This was one of the best WWDD's yet!! Good work kitty
Wow only one reply 😯
I don’t normally comment on RUclips videos but I just had to this time - wonderful work! This series is so fun to watch! Just wanted to say keep up the great work! It is so nice to watch someone with a clear passion and talent, who exudes natural kindness. You are bringing something special to the world :)
You are perfect
YOU'RE SO FREAKING TALENTED IT'S INSANE I'M SO IN AWE
Drew, never apologize for a ‘too long’ vid ; I could watch you make your magic all day long! Number 1 I liked a lot
Oh, but I loved the MCM house as well!!
I’m in between vintage revival and dark acadamia for my spaces. I would love for you to do more videos in those directions
Here's some professional advice on the 2nd design's lighting situation:
You are right Drew, slanted ceilings aren't ideal to install lighting and the choices are limited (no pendants for example.
Option 1: cover the ceiling in plaster board and run the cables behind that. You can install spots (preferably recessed) into that.
Option 2: install mood lighting instead of overhead lighting. It makes your home look high end and the lights will add to your decor. Use a variety of them throughout the space. From tall standing lights to table lamps, it will make your space look super cozy.
Option 3: install light rails. It makes the space look more industrial and the rails can be installed horizontally, so it can support any light fixture of your choosing. Personally I don't think this is appropriate for this space, but it is technically a solution.
I loved all three transformations! But if i had to choose one it would be the second one. I think you're an amazing designer and I love all your designs and creations! Keep designing Drew!!
All your makeovers were beautiful but I loved what you suggested with the 2nd space, changing the railing and painting those walls made a huge difference and up graded the space 100%. Love all your designs!
All of the redesigns are beautiful. However I gotta say that the second room was my favorite. It's shocking considering that I *LOVE* color especially yellow💛😊🤗😍.
Any who you did an amazing job (as per usual), and now I'm considering participating in a "what would Drew do" 🤔
P.S Mariah hunny I believe in you; you've made a great decision in investing in your self. I know it might feel scary but just because it feels scary doesn't necessarily means that you made a bad decision.
Also I have shaved my head before and it was liberating. It feels like a fresh start, literally from top to bottom. You are beautiful; it really does suit you...(you might get addicted like I did 🤭)
Do they ever send you what they did and if they chose your design.. or something similar?
An after video would be nice!
In a previous video he commented that he's never received any "after" photos or results from anyone :(
I have yet to recieve any process from designs that I have done but I also feel that it may take people some time to implement!!
Great job, Drew! Totally impressed with the craftsman living room which had so many design issues. While, they were all great designs, you really hit it out of the park on that one! Other than painting those walls, it was difficult to see how it could be turned into something cohesive, stylish and comfortable but you nailed it! Such great ideas that appear to be inexpensive to complete.
I’ve been following you since the beginning & it’s been wonderful to see how you’ve grown and become a really great designer. Sharing your talents with others is also wonderful and reveals what a kind and generous person you are. Wishing you nothing but the very best.
My favorite was definitely the bedroom with that gorgeous headboard! That room is so pretty! Loved all the rooms though!
The second one was my favorite. The before looked very true to 1970, but like it was too many different 1970 era trends clashing with each other. Drew's version is much more cohesive, with the modern side of the period shining throughout.
1950's actually.
I loved the first makeover. The apartment is a more realistic “standard” style you see everywhere. Great ideas! And to Ms. Mariya, more power and good blessings to you!
Drew, Drew, Drew.
You may not have a “license” as an interior designer but you are a professional. I have watched so many wonderfully talented designers, some are licensed, but you are the only one that I go to. The only one that I follow. You have given this old lady lots of ideas. Thank you.
I loved all 3 transformations Mariah's was great particularly the graphic art it set the space off, but my favorite was the boys' space. The seating furniture and arrangement was gorgeous but your solution for the railing and the door was absolutely genius. So good!
All three were beautiful, but you knocked it out of the park with the second transformation. Well done, Drew!
You had good ideas for all three spaces. Making that sliding glass door wall the focal point with the full wall of drapery did wonders for the shape of that room and your ideas for the mid century house railing and the door were such a compliment. And although painting any original wood makes me cringe, it really works where every surface is wood! Also that headboard in the last space made the bedroom look like it was fit for a princess. So cute! Makes me want to tackle some of my own design dilemmas.
That bedroom makeover is just… chef’s kiss 😘 LOVE IT!!!!
Drew you’re so incredibly talented with such a gentle soul! I just want to hug you
Drew is the most talented guy I've ever seen on RUclips. Period!!!
Great ideas!
Fav: #2- love the railing!!
Wow, all 3 were beautiful, but I also totally adored Mariah's room 'before' too. I love all the colour and the vibrant artwork, but did also like the changed space too.
Your second inspo mid century living room is SO on point!! Definitely would require the most work and money (replace door and railings/strip refinish columns) but it belongs in Architect Digest!!
You nailed all three and the way you present everything makes you more of a professional than some I've met!
I loved your advice for the second one with the two men! Lamps are a great choice as I do not like over head lighting at all.
Blown away by your designs Drew. You are such a natural talent young man. I absolutely love the second to last design. Huge transformation.
You have such a great talent at seeing and putting together a space. I look forward to these videos. Thank you for sharing your gift!!
I love Merrias living room, the warm tones and the layout is beautiful!
Love this series! You have such a great eye for colour and layout. And the renderings you have done to the spaces are so helpful to see what the end result could be.
Wow that makeover of the 50s panelled living room was amazing!
Wow. Simply just a wow. You know it would cost us thousands for an interior design ideas like you gave, Drew. And you’re just being you, the passionate designer giving it all to the confused us. The second design tho! It’s soo greattt ❤️❤️❤️
Love this series cause you take real spaces and give them ultimate home decor design! You are really good at listening to your clients desires, needs as well. My favorite is your design for the 1950’s home retro living room with all the wood.
Love this series. Great designs as always ❤️
Loved them all but my favorite was the 2nd one!!! Amazing ❤️
You did a great job on them all but I really love the bedroom - that bedhead is just perfect!
I loved the mid century makeover the furniture pieces were amazing. The new railings made the space look so different. Great job
It’s so beautiful and inspiring to see someone doing what they love! Thank you for showing us the way Drew.
I think I liked your second design the best drew, it made the biggest impact to the space loved the furniture you choose. Must say I love the rug and the lamps in the 3trd. So pretty! Really enjoy these video's, you have a great decorating flare Drew.
All three are amazing as usual! Hard to pick a favorite when each one has elements that I just loved. ❤
