      @@jennalacaria3924 yes mam! You can hire an e-designer! They literally design/decorate your room without having to come to your house. They send you a mood board or a couple for you to pick from..then they make an e-design after you send them a picture of your room...the e-design shows you what your room will look like with everything from new couches to coffee table to side tables to new wall paint etc...they then send you a clickable link to where you purchase your items! Then when the items arrive you put them in your room as the e-design shows! You get a gorgeous room and dont even have to have the person come to your home. ( covid safe!) And it's usually cheaper bc you dont have to pay them to physically do all the work! Its amazing and so nice to have done! You can hire e-designers off Instagram to ( theres tons of good ones ). And their prices vary! Some do it for $50 and then some more famous ones do it for $300!It's amazing! You should totally try it! What's good about picking one off ig is that you can look at their page and see what their style is and what they are good at doing and then go from there. Theres all kinds of different edesigners that specialize in boho style, rustic, farmhouse, transitional, modern, or glam! Or something mixed or in between!

    Drew, actual architect and interior designer by profession here. We don’t draw the renders or 3d visuals, that would leave us zero time to do any actual shop or working drawings to scale. We will use modeling softwares and render softwares alongside or sometimes live sync render engines to make super photorealistic imagery of models, zoomed out details; practically any kind of perspective you can imagine. Sometimes, I also do a very basic bare bones render in the modeling software and then do a super quick job doing a photo realistic touch up to it in Photoshop if I have to give a very fast proposal to a client. I think of you take time to learn these, you would be obsessed. They definitely elevate your portfolio so much more and broaden your horizons in infinite ways. And I’m just a few years older than you so we are in the same age range as well, but definitely a skillset you will never regret having!

    Everyone offered really amazing design ideas! However, I think not giving the designers any style preference or at least some favorable colors was a mistake. Rather than critiquing their skill in terms of color and furniture choice, style coherency or positioning, you just talk about the quality of the rendering and if you like the general style. Aspects like TV placement, the black wall structure not being renter friendly or the dining area would not have been a problem if you gave some guidelines beforehand. If someone actually used a design service like this, I think understanding the clients vision and style is so much more important than the quality of the rendering.

  • @carolinewatts1703

    Would guarantee that all the render based designers attended architecture school at one point or another!
    1. They use a 3D rendering software to create the room, this includes windows, molding, furniture, etc. programs used may include Rhinoceros, Sketchup, or a number of other options. 2. A separate rendering software/engine is used to create the environment, lighting, shadows, and textures. Such as V-ray, lumion, 3DS max, or many other options. 3. Last step is post processing, they take the rendered image and tweak it in photoshop, adding some elements (the chair in the $40 is def photoshopped and I think the candles in the fireplace are as well).
    Just for anyone who is curious about the process. Rendering can be very time consuming, especially if custom designing, say, furniture pieces.

I definitely would recommend most people to hire a designer to put together a moodboard like option #1 with an addition of a 2d floorplan. The combination of those two things should give you a lot to go off on.

      I also liked that last one the most. But I would do the sofa / arm chairs setting from the 100 dollar option, cause that is the only way one can sit and face both oposite walls (tv and fireplace). A sofa not facing a fireplace (like not even a little bit) feels wrong to me, even if the fireplace is never used.

    @nicolepico2231 3 года назад +12

    Great video as always! One thing I would like to bring awareness to in terms of use of Fiverr is that a lot of people don't understand the reason prices are so affordable is because a lot of the work is outsourced so an individual for instance in India can afford to offer the same scope of work as someone in the US for significantly cheaper due to lowered cost of living. I understand not everyone has thousands of dollars to drop on design so services like these can be very useful but I do think it's important that individuals are aware that long term this can really affect designers. (With that being said a lot of people are trying to price themselves more reasonably on Fiverr so they can still make an income so I mainly note this so you guys can help support some designers on there that may not be charging the cheapest but are still giving you a great deal in the larger comparison.)

    • @kathyburgess9943
      @kathyburgess9943 Год назад +1

      I totally agree with this comment.
      As a design professional located in Australia there is no way I could/would produce something like that for such low cost.
      I hate to say, but in a way this downgrades the professionalism of interior design and architecture if people think it is only worth $10 or $100. We don’t train for years to work for $3 per hour in the western world.
      They produced some beautiful work, but ultimately you get what you pay for.
      Hiring a local professional they will measure the space in detail, find products that are available locally to you and draw them into the space at the exact scale.
      Invariably there will be modifications made over time = more hours of work. But you would then also be able to see the room from multiple viewpoints and could make changes here and there as required.
      But to a designer time is money and in fairness a full professional job is worth more than that.
      But props to all the designers for their work and presentations.

The gallery wall, throw blanket, area rug, coffee table & unlit logs stacked in the fireplace are my fave elements from the third designer. I'd keep the plants & candles from the fourth designer. The shelving & TV placement plus the bold black paint to delineate the space from the fifth designer are cool. Now, if I threw all those elements together, would it end up gorgeous & functional?
