  • What if nearly a century ago, Arthur Dark traveled to Germany with his wife Helen to shoot the very first Hollywood Graveyard film, and in doing so, unleashed a dark shadow from cinema’s past?
Find out in THE TOMB OF NOSFERATU | A Silent Horror
    Hollywood Graveyard Presents:
A film by Arthur Dark & Nathan D. Lee
In collaboration with Thomas & Poe Motion Pictures
Starring Lauren Ashley & Arthur Dark
    Music by Giuseppe Vasapolli
Filmed on location in Germany and Slovakia. Featuring the graves of the original film’s director, F. W. Murnau; the actor who played Count Orlok, Max Schreck; and the actor who played Hutter, Gustav von Wangenheim. Also remembering the actress who played Ellen, Greta Schroder, who was cremated. Our story also takes us through several of the original filming locations of Nosferatu, including Orava Castle.

Murnau himself would have been proud of this brilliant work of art and helping keep the story of Nosferatu alive despite the people who wanted it destroyed all those years ago. Love the ending as well. The graves of the director and actors involved in the 1922 film, the locations you showed of the Inn and the castle, beautifully shot. These magnificent short films you and your team make are all award worthy whether it be The Twilight Zone episode you gave us or the amazing tribute short you made to honor Edgar Allen Poe; you never cease to amaze and entertain us. You are becoming a legend yourself. Thank you Arthur for this well made and well acted treat.

Ok, as a fan of silent films and HG I have a few things to say.
    1. The sheer delight I am experiencing is about to make me cry. The colors for the times of day, the jumpy camera work, the overexaggerated acting, THE TITLE CARDS and their font. I am so happy. I can't explain.
    2. The score??? It's a masterpiece! It's so perfect. Guiseppe is so good, especially for the special episodes.
    3. Helen is beautiful and looks as if she stepped straight out of 1923. I am smitten with her look.
    4. Locations? How cool is that??

This was an unexpected treat! I love how you matched the style of Murnau's masterpiece perfectly and then incorporated it into a new film. It's truly miraculous that any of the prints survived, given how thoroughly prints were tracked down and destroyed. So amazing to see the graves and locations! Fantastic production; it's obvious a lot of love went into this.

The colour tinting, revisiting the film locations, shadows, the title cards as well as the acting are just icing on the cake. What an absolutely fantastic show of admiration from Arthur & Co to the creators of Nosferatu. This was such a beautifully well written, acted, directed film I was hooked on it. Black and white, silent movies had an inbuilt means of hooking the audience from the start - no one spoke, so you had to pay attention to what was going on. Nosferatu always did scare me. Thank you so much for this diamond Arthur and all involved in this x

Simply brilliant! I once lived so close to the various cemeteries for so many years. Regrettably... I never visited them to discover these gravesites. I did see a few of the filming locations, though. Mahalo for yet another "Halloween candy" that honours and respects a few of those who have gone on before us. Mahalo for commemorating their accomplishments so tenderly and faithfully!

And the evil that once was, walks in the shadows once again…
The mood was amazing, like stepping back into time. I was once a concert clarinetist and I can’t truly say the music was superb.
    The film was outstanding. 👏

So a faithful adaptation to not just Nosferatu, but something that could easily be a sequel?
Never in my life had I wanted something so much and never known it until it was presented.

In my opinion, this was your greatest post! The video from 4 years ago, titled The Twilit Zone is a close runner up, and I love them equally as much. You are so good at creating and I thanks so very much for all the time and energy you put into all your posts .

Bravo! This short film checked off every box on my list of things I love. The fact you kept it old school with it being a silent film made it that much more epic. Thanks Arthur for another october master piece!
