- Today, we're at Disney's Magic Kingdom for the highly anticipated opening day of Tiana's Bayou Adventure, the brand-new attraction that replaced Splash Mountain and opened on June 28th, 2024. Thanks to many of you who requested it, we made our way over to share the excitement with you... but things didn't quite go as planned.

Thank you for your positive attitude! I understand that weather happens (especially in Florida during Hurricane season) and people are disappointed (happened to us before) but you try to make the best of it and please don't take it out on the cast members. I have seen people screaming at something that the CM's have no control over and it makes me sad. Thank you for your honest take and great point of view!

1:22 The flower was pretty, but the palm tree on the right was amazing! It is really literally branching out on its own!
I'll have to go back and take a look. I was completely distracted by the flower.
21:50 The vibe at the Emporium reminds me of going to a Buc-ees.
I've never veen to a Buc-ees. . . but it was definitely giving Costco or the only open grocery store on the morning of Thanksgiving.
You have a great attitude for the situation but it really goes to your point about not going on opening day. I am really looking forward to your thoughts on the ride whenever you get to ride! ❤

I really like the additional greenery that they added to Tiana's.. that section of the park needed it IMO, even if the majority of it is fake.
You know, initially I didn't like how green it was. . . . but now that it's open I do like how it looks as you're coming down the road; especilaly as you're turning the corner by Pecos Bills.

Not yet. I wasn't able to get back to ride on opening day and I just tried again today with no luck.
1:38 You mention resellers a couple times. It seems obvious, but are these guests who buy merch and immediately post it for resale on other platforms at a markup? Doesn’t Disney crack down on this? Is opening day merch not available for direct purchase on Disney websites?
the limit the amount you can buy in a single purchase.
Yes! They buy up merchandise and immediately post it for sale, sometimes buying for people who are on their livestreams, sometimes posting the merch for sale before they have even purchased it. Like all scalpers, they post these items for a HUGE mark up.
Disney has "cracked down" on this by putting limits in place, but honestly it's a bit of a joke. Even when those limits are enforced, they do not track purchases a guest makes. In other words, if there's a "Limit 2" on a particular item, that doesn't mean that a particular guest can't buy any more than 2. . . it means they can buy 2 at a time. As you can imagine, you'll see resellers clear out an entire rack and buy 2 at a time until they walk out with however many they want. It's also weird with clothes, 'cuase the limit is based on the size. So if there's a "Limit 2" that's means you can buy 2 XS, 2 S, 2 M, 2 L, 2 XL, 2XXL, 2 XXXL and walk out of there with 14 shirts per transaction. It's ridiculous.
Generally speaking, no. At least not at the start. Things will make their way to disneystore.com eventually. . . sometimes.
You have to understand there is a method to Disneys madness
I say all those rides were down to pay more attention to Tiana !

I'd be more likely to believe that this was the case if TBA didn't open with a virtual queue AND was operating at somewhere near 100%.
@@2foolishmortals yes it is what it is. Things within the company are in fact happening and Bob Igor is no good. Period. What a shame but he is shady at best.
Not many will believe that but there is proof within the walls.
