A Very informative video. Great to see people recording things that help others.
Thank you. The Vaseline holding the springs was a good trick. I didn't know how I would do it by myself.
You are so welcome!
THANKS FOR THIS VERY INFORMATIVE VIDEO FOR NISSAN CAR
Glad you liked it!
I had to drop the valve body out of my 95 pathfinder to replace shift solenoids. Not a job I would do without a lift again. Holding the body in place while on your back is rough.
Thank you, this video supplied me with exactly the info which I was searching for, Legend.
what's the 1st thing to check if its stuck on gear 2 or 3 on D .. not shifting.. checked the solenoids are still working. RE4R03A
Check fuses to make sure the transmission control unit it's shut down.
Hi Guys, there is mention of a temperature sensor located in this transmission. How can this be used to get a temperature reading? The wire must go to an ECU pin?
You are far better off putting a temp sender in the transmissions hot line. You wouldn't be able or even want to use the internal temp sender. You would need a gauge that is calibrated to the correct Ohm's output and pan temp is measuring coldest possible temp only.
What problems was this trans having with the old valve body ?
In this case he towed al lot and wanted to protect the auto, same can be said for anyone doing an engine upgrade or doing a lot of off road work.
Great video. I have the same vehicle and my auto shakes when the stall locks up, do you think it is as simple as replacing the lock up solenoid? Much appreciated
Have same issue on mine I’ve been dealing with for couple years, just about to replace torque converter. Would love to know if you find an answer
Had same problem. Fix was to replace the torque converter lockup solenoid. The solenoid coil had developed a high electrical resistance (typical problem) which caused the torque converter to slip in and out (shaking). Fairly easy to test resistance at the connector under the dash. Replacing this solenoid is not that hard as it's on the bottom on the valve body. Remove the pan. Change solenoid (3 bolts) Replace the pan. The only tricky part is that the solenoid is held in place from atop the valve body by a bracket...and with all the solenoid mounting bolts removed, the bracket can shift position making it impossible to replace the bolts without having to drop the valve body first to reposition the bracket. I avoided this replacing the bolts one by one with threaded rod before I removed the old solenoid. The threaded rod held the bracket in position. Reverse procedure to reinstall.
Gracias por el video 😊
Do you guys have these for Y62 patrols as I think mine is on its way out.
Developing them now. Give us 3-4 months.
Do you supply a diagram on which bolts to remove?
We have them all on this page Ed, check out this web link:

@@WholesaleAutomatics thank you!! Which one would be for a 1999 Nissan Frontier. Transmission Re4r01a?
Nissan GU Patrol with ZD30 engine.
@@WholesaleAutomatics Awesome. Thanks again!
Great video
Glad you enjoyed it
Hey Is this the same for y61 td42 re4 trans ? I have one of your extreme valve body’s installed but need to replace the trans as there is a weird whining noise that comes and goes .I was going to have a crack at the install myself cheers
Brad make sure the whine is in fact from the transmission first and change the oil filter before moving forward. Get second opinion or even bring it into us if you are local.
@@WholesaleAutomatics OK !!Understand
Do you have a valve body for a 1993 Nissan D21 4x2 with a 3.0 gasoline engine. In America shops do not want to replace the valve body, they only want to install new transmissions 😃 RE4R01A transmission
I need to buy 1 of your valve body 2002 4.5L patrol automatic
Have a special on at the moment!
Is that still on ? I have so many questions and queries about my re4 in my 2000 model tb45. @@WholesaleAutomatics
Hey guys I have a gear engaging delay issue in my Audi A4 B8 1.8T front wheel drive. I have spent so much on fixing at a workshop in Dubai. Still couldn’t get it to work normal. What could be the fault. Cheers
This being a CVT transmission it is more likely to be an internal problem. Was it fully rebuilt when in Dubai?
@@WholesaleAutomatics yes they gave a big bill but don’t know what job they did, they told the problem will be solved after driving for about a month, but it didn’t and they didn’t provide warranty
Where do I order the spring kit? 2003 Nissan Xterra 3.3 automatic transmission.
Why do you need to change the springs?
@@WholesaleAutomatics It's apart from changing shift solenoids. Seen an upgrade on this video. Why? No need to upgrade the springs?
No, not at all, there will be fine.
@@WholesaleAutomatics Thank you!
