      Well deserved!!! M&p 2.0 has been underrated for tooooo long

    • @oskar6661
      @oskar6661 Год назад +79

      @@Thisthat1234 The M&P is not an underrated handgun. It's used around the world, and extensively in the United States. The "problem" (if you can call it that), is that the gun is essentially too good and boring. That's ideal for a service/duty handgun. There's no influencer/social media 'buzz' about a well designed service/duty handgun that's been more or less flawless for 15+ years.
      S&W doesn't release constant new flashy versions of the M&P and it's not a "cool kid" gun. It's just a reliable workhorse which is admittedly a bit on the ugly side. I'd agree it may be underrated by the current 'Gun Tube' culture and its followers, but amongst the crowd of guys who use them and carry them daily, there's nothing underrated about it. It's similar to why you don't see many videos about the S&W Shield etc. They're just good guns getting work done.
      You wouldn't hear about a Glock 19 on RUclips either unless Glock is selling you a $100 trigger, or some company is releasing a replacement slide, or upgrades, etc. The Glock 19/17 and the S&W M&P line-up are the Toyota Camry of the gun world. The best selling, most reliable and most widely spread handguns...without anything particularly cool about them to generate buzz.

      Every company has lemons. That is just the nature of manufacturing. So long as there are humans involved, there is always potential for error. A lot of people wrap their heads around this idea that if they go with a "proven" system, they will get a working product. But the real trick is to look at how often a product has to be fixed, rather than whether they have broken products. Mine still runs after all my years of carrying it.

    I miss mine. It just vanished into thin air. One day I was carrying it, the next I went to church and realized I forgot to grab it before I left the house. Got home, looked everywhere, through my truck, at my parents... everywhere I can think. It just disappeared. I've been carrying my Glock since. It's just not the same. I've carried that M&P 2.0 for 4 years and loved it dearly. Got it, 2 mags, a CT light, and a mag loader for $317.

    Let's be honest had SIG done this type of destructive test on their striker fired pistols, they probably would have found the touchless fire feature in their pistols and fixed it before selling it to millions of people to potentially kill themselves.

Super happy to see my M&P crushing all the torture tests. I do think it's a little on the ugly side, but after running it through a few outdoor classes and regularly training in dust, dirt, rain, mud, and snow, I definitely trust my life with it. I don't think you'll find something out of the box with the same quality, reliability, trigger, and features at the same price point.

    Hey, I really like what you're doing here, recreating adverse, real-world conditions, but testing has changed quite a bit recently. The most recent addition to testing standards and practices is the Dynamic Thrust Application; SOCOM won't even look at your firearm unless it scores a 3.0 +/-. On the civilian-side this test can be done with hobby rocket motors, and the test itself is pretty self explanatory. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Obviously for the sake of OPSEC there are questions I just can't answer

    Looks good, great trigger, nice grip, ergonomics, and handling.
    Only thing that holds close to it in my eyes is a Canik.
    They just haven't been around as long (in the U.S. dunno about Turkey) so time will tell about durability.

    I accidentally put 10mm in a .45 acp M&P 2.0. For one it shot the round. However it jammed up the 10mm round. Took the slide off no squib load. The barrel and the chamber were dirty I didn't shoot it anymore that day. Took the pistol home cleaned it real good lubed it up. Took it out the next week it shot no problem with the correct 45 acp ammunition. So yeah I love my M&P 2.0.

I was not expecting to like it nearly as much as I do. The fact it's nearly invincible and will stand up to conditions I will never even come close to putting it through isn't necessary but it's good to know.
