Shotgun mags are stupid big and unwieldy. I wish more manufacturers would make double stacks like the ones for the Mossberg 590m. They're still big and fat but a 20 rounder is the same length as a 12 rounder for a gen 12.
What I love about the Gen12 is EVERY argument against shotguns goes out the window when talking about this gun. Its not heavy and unwieldy, it doesn't have a shitty manual of arms, it isn't a pain in the ass to reload. Its literally everything you want in a decent home defense AR but now with 00 buck shot in a high rate of fire and small package with easy box mag reloads. Might be the greatest home defense gun of all time.

The box vs drum mag height differences for prone use, as well as weight on the mag release catch, really makes you appreciate the engineering that went into the TS12's 3-tube magazine that tucks up under the barrel. That 15rd drum looks much more reasonable than the 20rd and 30rd drums you see as options on the FosTech Origin 12 (or even the cheap turkish AR-12s out there). Very impressive.

I would love to see a comparison video for how much velocity this short barrel gets compared to a regular length shotgun barrel and how much more it spreads over distance and hit reliability with slugs over distance both with and without the can. How much does the can really reduce noise? How loud is it compared to a rifle without a can?

For me when I see these mag fed automatic shotguns I can't help but think that instead of a few rounds of 12 gauge in a pretty large mag, If A manufacturer offered a double stack 410 option instead that would be a much better option, I'm thinking like a AR10 style mag with say 20 to 25 rounds of 410 in this package would be pretty potent and there are plenty of decent 410 defense rounds now, There should be no real reason for not being able to make it, If rimfire can use a double stack mag so can 410 and with 20 odd rounds it's plenty powerful enough.

He was working in the snack bar of a shooting range (why there was one, don’t know but could be a good idea). I had finished up my shooting session and I was getting ice cream when who comes to take my order: Micah. He’s wearing a Defcon group sweater and so am I! He gets me my ice cream, we talk about our sweaters, B&T, he says it’s so much better full auto than semi. The rest I can’t remember.
For those wandering what velocity losses you could expect, this is a velocity chart I found online, so for what it's worth: Advertised shell velocity: 1325 36": 1395 26": 1317 21.5": 1303 14": 1224 11": 1145 6.5": 1018 So i'd imagine that a 5" would be closer to 900 fps. 9 pellets of 00 buck at 1300 fps will carry about 1858 lbf. The 5" at MOST would be 950 fps and have 992 lbf of energy. So you're pretty much halving your energies. So technically only on par with a full length 24 gauge.

Barely any recoil, that compact, shoots fast, decent range for a short barrel, it can be suppressed and it's mag fed. Absolutely breathtaking
