    What you did for your husband and children is heroic! I admire you so much! I'm 75 and am now WFPB and loving it. I watch your recipe videos all the time! ❤

    Just found you today! I’m looking forward to seeing all your videos. A year ago my husband was diagnosed with cardiovascular disease and went through cardiac bypass surgery and carotid artery surgery. We had been plant based for about 10 years, but we now really got serious with low salt, fat and sugar. He is 70 now and doing better. Your husband is lucky you figured this out much younger, he will avoid much distress when he gets our age.

    Thank you for sharing your story and converting to a plant-based, oil-free diet. I hope your husband is doing well. Six months ago, I had a heart attack and a stroke and had carotid artery surgery, I was lucky that I had no damage except for a little weakness on my left side. . About four months ago.I switched to a plant-based diet based on Dr. C. B. Esselstyn's recommendations. I have watched many of your videos and made many of your recipes. My last blood test for lipids was very good since switching to a plant-based diet, and I am going to continue with this way of eating for the rest of my life. Thank you again and keep up great work you do passing on the messgage. I wish I had done this when I was lot younger but it is never too late!

    I'm so glad I watched this. I bought his book and enjoyed it. I've been thinking I should get more fruit and vegetables into my diet anyway and this gives my the motivation to ramp it up. Thanks!

    That salad looks sooo good! I've gone off trail lately with eating healthy, but you've inspired me to get back at it, so thank you! I'm not a fan of meal prep, but I definitely want to try making that salad - I would happily eat that for dinner every day! So glad I found this channel! :)

    I love those snack yard shiitake mushrooms and the last time I bought them they had uped their game. They were now organic and down to just a half a gram of fat per serving so I now can load up with no guilt :)

    I made both the smoothie and the salad, my husband loved the smoothie and we both absolutely loved the salad. The second day eating the salad, I had to make a different dressing because my tongue felt like I had eaten too much pineapple. 😂 Not sure why, because I have no problem eating frozen pineapple in smoothies. 🤷‍♀️

    Looks yummy! What was in the dressing? Just pineapple and orange juice? It almost looked like there was tahini in there but didn’t see you put that in..

      Here is the full recipe for the pineapple dressing: (the video missed a couple ingredients)
      1/4 cup raw almonds
      2 oranges, juices
      2 teaspoons balsamic vinegar
      6 large chunks of fresh pineapple.

    Could one make the salad in a large container with all the ingredients except maybe for ones that are too wet and add to bowl each day? Or will the salad become too soggy?
    Brand new to your channel and also to plant based way of life ❤

      I ensure all salad ingredients are dry and add some together depending on if they let more liquid out. Those that do like tomatoes i store separately. I also add some paper towels to the veggies to soak any condensation. They can last up to a week.

    • @plantwhys
      @plantwhys  Год назад +1

      Yes you definitely can. Just keep the wet ingredients separate!
