HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 17 сен 2024
- We heard about a mountain village called Kuşköy where people communicate in a very special way! On our drive there we had to stop in Görele to eat their famous Pide. Is it Turkey’s best Pide?

Turkish hospitality amazing
We like to welcome foreigners
It really is the best , being stopped by a local old lady who offered us Apricots gratis
@@pervinkatar1531 I was in Istanbul and Edirne in May 2016 , looking forward to visit again 🇹🇷👍🇲🇾 from Kuala Lumpur 🇲🇾
Turkish hospitality is amazing, and it is still kind of a hidden trait to the rest of the world!
Yes - we could all learn a thing or two about hospitality
Impressive language ! I loooove this this episode ! It end's in two minutes !! 🤣
İngilizce bilmiyorum ama size kalbimi gönderiyorum. Seviliyorsunuz. ❤️
🌺👏💜💐 Thank you
İ love Turkey and im Turkish💖
Hi Marianne and Chris
Really enjoyed this show
The pide looked delicious
The village you went to was picturesque.... again Turkish people never fail to be helpful and kind and so nice of the guy to buy you lunch
Take care and stay safe
Angela 🐝🌈xx
Glad you enjoyed it - What an amazing experience for sure 👏🚐💐
That was nice of that guy to only take half...i want to come...thier are good people all over the world
Meanwhile, the bird language entered the UNESCO List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Emergency Protection.
I was glad to see that little girl trying to whistle.
It's *remarkable* how accommodating Turkish people are! May I film you preparing my food? Sure! Come right into the kitchen! His hands move so fast, too. Obviously he's been making pide for a while!
Kuşköy is a fascinating place. I remember hearing about the whistle language on National Geographic years ago. I would be completely lost there -- I've never been able to whistle with fingers my entire life! 😆😆
Amazing! 😎👍🦅👀
I am Turkish American and I took my American friends to Turkey few years ago. We were eating and my friend went to bathroom and did not come back for awhile. I went to check on him. I saw him sitting in the kitchen and having conversation with employees. Funny thing was my friend could not speak Turkish and the employee did not speak English but they were having so much fun. They were showing how they cook Turkish food. My friend just loved every bit of it.
This is definitely a country with people who say yes !! there is always a way to do something here ... just so fabulous !! Everyone is willing to take the time to talk to each other and new friends for sure !!
TREAD the globe I have been watching you guys videos for awhile now. It actually inspired me to do what you guys doing. My wife is an American and we have 2 kids. I have been living in the USA for 20 years. Finally we decide to move the Turkey this coming summer. We are planing to live around izmir and Fethiye area. You guys are very brave and adventures.
Unbelievable!!! I'm stunned!! The special way the people of Kuşköy communicate is truly mind blowing. I hope it remains to be passed on to future generations. It's truly an evolution worthy of Mr.Attenborough's attention, to share with the world. Thank you.
We agree!!
Hello 👋 beautiful village 😊
They don’t need cell phone 📱😊
Enthusiasm to help is a common trait in Turkey. I have experienced it myself many times during my many visits to different parts there.
Have been following you from Central Illinois as you visit many of the places I have visited as well. I’ve had a link to Turkey for over 25 years. My wife is Turkish. We met in London and later lived in Istanbul for 2 years. We have family up the coast about 100 miles in Hopa. Enjoy your time in the Black Sea area….
Glad you are enjoying the videos Jim and bringing back some memories !!
Amazing and great pide enjoy your meal very good super
Really love the small village life, the people are amazing, so polite and helpful, never been to Turkey, so when the pandemic is over we will definitely add it to our list of places to visit, we fly over the Black Sea so many times going to our Jungle home in India.
If you are coming, you can let me know, we would like to welcome you very well.😇
@@llyusupf Thank you that is so kind 👌
Great video guys, it doesn't matter what time of day I watch them but I always end up feeling hungry. 😘
I wanna that pide. Luckly i am Turkish tomorrow i will get
What an interesting place.....i have been to a park in Bergama (Pergamon)...... where there are a million birds all chirping away and I mean a lot of birds. Well soon as the sun sets they all at once all together stop chirping and singing.....it was amazing.
That pide looks so Delish.....yummy!!!
communicating by whistling is amazing.

I’m so in love with turkey!! Always feel at home there. Hope to make it my home one day
Fantastic - Turkey is waiting for you !!
Wow, what a nice and generous man to pay for your pide!! The whistling is just like the Guanche from the Canary Islands. They know now that the Guanche were Berbers (from DNA) - so I wonder if there is some sort of ancient connection to this part of Turkey. Then again, now that you say that they've been doing it there in Turkey since around 1500....well, that's when the Guanche were wiped out by the Spanish. I wonder if any escaped? Or maybe there's no connection, and it's just a coincidence. Nah...I'll bet there's some connection. REALLY interesting. I love Turkey!
Hi - interesting to find out for sure !! yes everyone is very kind and generous ... we have started to fight with people though and we have made excuses to go to the loo and snuck off to pay first LOL !! woo hoo
@@TREADtheglobe Oh, there's a brilliant strategy!
They are mostly Cepni who part of Turkic clan.
I live in this village, if you have any questions, I can answer them.🙂
@@llyusupf Well, I'd love to know everything! 🙂 When did this whistling language start, and do other nations/related people have this that you've heard? You live in a beautiful place...
Dear Marianne & Chris; You revived my memories of that village I had seen 30 to 40 years ago.
Beautifull Turkey make Turkey great again
I've watched some short youtube documentaries about this bird language but it's so great to hear about that heritage from you with random people just expressing themselves.
Thank you Aleyna
You’ve inspired us to think about quitting the 9-5!
What a nice video from you. Heart warming connection with the locals in KUSKOY!
This little town was on the news about a month ago, I remember!
But, you guys made this "hard to make video" so easily and I loved watching it. What an experience, one to come across, isn't it?
I give you unlimited credit for making such a great videos.
With your lovely personalities you make people around you happy. You guys emit positive energy around you.
Marianne, it was a great try speaking with bird dialect. Not bad. I don't think I could have done that as good as you did! I am amazed by the bird language!
Thanks guys! 😍😍😍😍🤘👍👍👍
Wow - thanks Nick - we really appreciate you taking the time to say so many lovely things !! woo hoo - best wishes Marianne 🙌🌺
Welcome to Turkey 🇹🇷
🤗
Thank you
Hi Chris and Marianne, we have just done a catch up, as we have been away for a week, and we loved this video , and the whistling!! Its just so nice to see, in a remote place in the mountains, that the local people are so lovely, and go out of their way to help you, and to tell you their stories, and being able to use google translate!!! So useful... Your journey just gets better !! Looking forward to the next installment :) Take care ... David & Angela x

Good vibes all around, no wonder people are kind to you along the way. Thank you for making us travel virtually with you through this strange pandemic year! 🙏 🧳🤗🥰

I’m pretty sure that if you make longer videos like 40min or so, the majority of the subscribers would be loved and amazed. Not only just saying because you’re in Turkey, I’d love to watch and have huge joy wherever you go.

Sürmene Pide is the best but every region has a different version. Especially the local cheese types will give different flavors and the minced version in other areas will have more seasoning.

There are really interesting foods in Giresun. Ask some locals, and i believe they will invite you to their home to taste or at least will cook for you. Try List: karalahana çorbası, Tavuk Mantarı, Dible, Turşu Kavurması, Kiraz veya Taflan Kavurması, Kadayıf
Thank you - we did find lots of delicious things to show

My hometown is Görele and right now i'm just here for a few days. If you will visit Görele in summer period, you can have a great seaside camping experience. Well, there is a local ice cream and cookie in that town. I strongly recommend them also. (In Turkish: Köy Dondurması and Kesme Pasta) It is a very cheap destination for all UK people to taste very delicious foods and experiencing the nature. Görele is not only offering seasider experience but also great highlander experience. (Sorry Scottish mates, lol)

I believe God makes good people to meet each other. Since you are so positive and kindhearted, you come across with so many helpful and trustworthy people in everywhere you visit. Just protect your goodness guys! :)
Wow, thank you
fascinating to find you somewhere at the top of the mountains
How did you find a place where people walk on the streets without their faces stuck to an I Phone?
Turkey is life, iPhone is not 😁
In Turkey you can find lot of people who are not stuck to their phones . They socialise a lot . I m missing Turkey and whenever I watch Tread the globes video it makes me feel I just wanna go there right now
As a teenager I can freely say that it's not that hard to find in here.
Peaceful
