Heat syncope occurs when an individual in a hot environment does not have adequate blood flow to the brain, causing the person to lose conciousness. This commonly occurs when someone is standing for long periods of time without movement or sudden rising from a sitting or lying position in the heat.

I'm still not 100% sure what I got but I was working in 30c heat for days and had no problems as I was drinking plenty of fluids, I got surprised by a hail storm which came out of nowhere and I got soaked through, it was only after this I began to feel feverish. For 4 days now my body can't seem to regulate temperature. I've stopped shaking though but my head really hurts. Do you think the sudden change in temp from the hail storm could have confused my internal thermometer ? I've had fever from illness before but this is another level.
I had a heat stroke the other day while on vacation in Memphis TN. My mother and boyfriend said I had a seizure. I'm still a little foggy in my brain. Thank you for teddy bears :-3

Sweating is variable in heat stroke. In other words, the presence of sweating does not exclude heat stroke.

I was suffered from Hyperthermia, it is a condition when body temperature is elevated beyond normal due to failed thermoregulation. Excessive dry skin is one of the common sign of this. Then someone suggest me Ayurveda for treatment and I used the Chandanadi Vati, Pitta Balance, Giloy Capsules & Amalaki Rasayan of Planet Ayurveda and got relief from Hyperthermia.
I'm suffering from over excessive sweat, so should I consider myself that I suffering from this hyperthermia? Kindly reply to me on this and what would be a resolution on this condition.
Sir can u pls explain the diff btwn hyperthermia and fever..i dont understand..you have mentioned body's tempt set point remains unchanged...what do u mean by that??
Thank you for your question. In fever, our body is trying to increase the temperature above normal as a response to pyrogens. To do this the hypothalamus is changing the temperature set point to a new level which is higher than normal. You can think of this like the thermostat of a heater or air conditioner. When we increase the temperature of heater, the heater thermostat changes the temperature set point to a new higher level and maintains the temperature at that level. Same thing happens in fever. On the other hand in hyperthermia our body is not trying to increase temperature and therefore temperature set point is unchanged. But body temperature is still increasing in uncontrolled way and exceeding body's ability to lose heat due to other causes. In short, in fever - body is willingly increasing temperature set point in hypothalamus in response to pyrogen and in hyperthermia body does not wish to increase body temperature and so temperature set point in hypothalamus is normal yet temperature is still rising due to other causes.

Does hyperthermia cause deaths?,and if it does is the body very hot or very cold?
What about if you're exposed to an engine that very hot and you go to a cold place what will happen to you
