I practice traditional jiu-jitsu and I can say that it is the most complete. 1- it teaches you to hit and kick like karate. 2- it teaches you to project, immobilize, knock down and strangle like judo. 3 teaches you to do displacement and circular movements to be able to dislodge the opponent, apart from that as an exercise exercise also strengthens the mind. Anyway, that's my opinion about traditional Jiu-Jitsu, many will not agree. Edgar Muñoz Delgado Muñoz Delgado is my Shihan to him I owe what I have learned and what he has served me. gracie bjj no thanks
I dont train gracie jiujitsu but their system incorporates kicks and other strikes as well. You seem confused. The front kick of theirs was notorious for distance management to set up the body lock for leg trips or double legs. Their side kick when their opponent was closing the distance on them they will use the sidekick to create distance and then Lowe's distance on their terms. The heel kick to the liver from guard to get their opponent to posture up to shoot up triangles & armbars. This was all done in MMA fights or unsanctioned Dojo fights. Do a little research
I’m curious, how often do you guys spar/randori against full resistance? I myself am a judo/bjj/kickboxing guy, but when I look up traditional jj, I seldom find footage of live training.
I thought of that too, but realistically, a retention holster inverted? Not very likely. What you can do (and what I do) is C clamp the bad guy's wrist, stiff arm it, use my legs, push it off the holster, and force it to the ground. From there I go deep underhook and then the BG can't even reach the weapon.
Because if it ( R ) starts at the beginning of the sentence then it's pronounced as an H. But if it's an inner letter to a word then it is pronounced as it is. It's complicated but yet easier than English.
situation comes 2 guys you struggle with 1 so that he does not take your weapon, while the other hits you to knock you down, already on the ground you continue to struggle with the first guy, while the other kicks your head and ribs. Anyway, bye bjj
It does not make sense, don't let your opponent to take you down. this video is really crazy. I believed in Jujitsu but, not like this! it is actually wrong particular in the scenario! you will not able to use or to execute the ground fight, particularly in the military or law enforcement. How about multiple the attackers?? do not make complicated. the things that I saw the instructor has no knowledge of real combat. he just only expert in the cage(Sports) not in real martial arts. Please do not use.
Noel Clemente you can’t just “not let them take you to the ground”. You don’t CHOOSE for them. What if you get tackled dumbass. When did Rener advertise to use this in every altercation every time? When did he say it works on multiple attackers? It’s for weapon retention if you get in grappling range. Also when you arrest someone you have to grapple with them to restrain them, smh. Have you ever WATCHED real combat?
Yeah dumbass, what do you think the police due to get someone in handcuffs that want to scuffle? Are you blind?! they are doing exactly this, jiu jitsu goes hand and hand with subduing someone! Not to mention these gracie family members arent MMA fighters.
Easier said than fone don't you think? "Don't let them take you down?" Please... what if the opponent is a wrestler or any other type of grappler? SPOILER you're going down! Also you mention a lot military and law enforcement, but you dont realize these are the people who trains both law enforcement and military personnel, if not them specifically it is the same martial art and same tech iques and YES! In a multiple attackers combat scenario and has been used in real life. Please go educate yourself.
This is great. Plus the butterfly sweep is right there, if you want it.
Gonna have to practice this at my academy.

So good. Long live the Gracie's!
Absolutely loving these videos!
That was outstanding.
Great video series. Keep em' coming 5.11.
Parabéns muito.bommmm
Looks sweet
That awkward moment when the editor keeps cutting back to clips of Rener and Ryron in the mounted position.
Awkward how? Thats bjj
The only problem I have is if they know how to remove my firearm from the holster I have no.control over the hand

I wish all Police Departments would teach this. What they teach now is crap and doesn't really help in real life to a degree.
Hey fellas, fyi thats a R at the front of your names, not an H. Thought someone should point that out to you.
+Christopher Lewis in portugese r's sound like h's. all the gracie members names start with an R
+Caleb Carrion Can you explain to me why then they pronounce the R in Gracey, not like GHacey?
+Christopher Lewis *Gracie
+Christopher Lewis im not Brazilian so i dont know all their grammatical rules. i just the little i do from being around the jiu jitsu community

Trevon Martin would've had a chance if he saw this video.
If the security guard who shot Trevon Martin was taught this, nobody would know about Trevon Martin.
Well if he never addressed that Mexican guy he wouldn't have died
Cops need this that’s just a fact

In that case you would have the right to shoot them.
@@tjl4688 You would have to be an octopus to grapple with one and shoot at the same time, while the other keeps kicking you.
