In the movie "Into the Wild", its about a man searching for the meaning of life, going into the wilderness, and died a lone in an old buss in the middle of nowhere, in one of the notes found in the buss he wrote, "happiness only real when it shared".

Very true . Modern ideologies failed to bring happiness to ppl . They preach individuality and independence which they serve only the benefit of the market .

that is ridicolus, the ideologies do not do that nowdays, your banal comment is a testimony of that, you do not came from a different time, you live in our time, and according to him you shouldn't even exist

Also i will say for control. Sweden in this case is an Orwellian controlled society. They use the lie with "individualism" because thats the easiest way to control people. Yet what i dont understand how the Swedish people fall for it so badly.

Independence doesn't need to come at the cost of happiness. Moderation.

True words. The online networks become more and more the social reality and replace real communication between human beings made out of flesh and blood. If loneliness will produce a paradigm shift in thinking, to go back to communicate with people next door, I am very interested in to see.

    Happiness is "triumph" state.
Triumph state comes after winning a battle.
Winning a battle comes after a battle.
No battle then no winning, no winning then no triumph, no triumph means no happiness.
That battle is the struggle, the overcoming a problem, taking responsibility, making sacrifice.

people created places they call home where they can feel alone and disconnected while searching for others to connect. but we already learned that we all need to have our own appartements, being mature and independent, that means, being alone searching to connect

I can understand and agree to some aspects of what he says, but I'm not sure that happiness by achieving something has to get lost when ”comfort grows” (1:31). It's just that the challenges consists of other things, such as educating yourself and trying new things. Also, I think that all of us living in families with small children know that every day is a huge challenge no mater the level of comfort we have in the society we live in. :)

@@1984magu Because of ideology or because of him being promoted?
Guy's escaped justice for his crimes against humanity he's committed as a NKVD officer, enforcing mass murder of anti-soviet Poles after ww2.
He has powerful friends of international reach, who set him up as an 'academic' and as a wealthy British resident.
Also, he was exposed as a plagiarist in Poland.
Same story as with Helena Wolińska.

Women are being more independent because often when in a relationship more responsibilities still fall on a woman even if she is also working. As such, women feel they can live a better life alone than with a man. There are still many relationships I personally know that are like this, where the man still wants to be served even though the woman works equally hard. Until men and women are completely equal in the eyes of all men and women, women will continually seek to not be in a relationship. At the end of the day, men and women do not need each other, they want each other, but if that want does not override the want to feel equally valued, then relationships between men and women will become fewer and for shorter times. I still know men that think it is a women's job to pack their lunch. Why would any woman be in a relationship that erodes their time in an unfair manner? I've been single for a long time. I am very happy. I have hobbies. I don't yet want a partner, and I don't feel I need friends, although will not refuse them. To be content in isolation is also beautiful. It is liberating.

Only 66% of Swedish citizens are actual true ethnic Swedes. I don't consider this a win. The Native Americans put up a fight, but if they do, then it's deemed "racist". By 2050, it's projected that they will be only 49% of the population within their native homeland.
And 25% of the inhabitants will be non-western once the ethnic Swedes are only 63% of the Swedish population. One can only imagine what the non-western percentage of the population will be once ethnic Swedes are only 49% of the total population in 2050.
