Bauman, you're one hell of a sociologist, but I'm sorry; I'm going to need subtitles.

disposable people, disposable people, disposable people, disposable people - how about explaining 1) How, exactly, modern order creates "disposable people"? 2) any specific example of disposable people? This what someone who gets drunk on abstractions sounds like - endless verbal diarrhea.

analogue jerry Be disposable yourself and figure it out. Some options to get there:
      1. Be poor
      2. Be black (this is difficult, skip it)
      3. Become Muslim
      4. Change your gender
      5. Go to a war zone. From there, give away everything you own in exchange for a one-way trip to a country that may sooner or later eject you.
Feel like you are easily discarded as a human being? That's disposability

If you look at the western world today you can see relics of industries where people used to work, like steel factoies etc. The reason why they are relics today is because has production has globally to Asia, for there is cheaper labour there. These "relics" used to be peoples way of building thiere lifes and families, a way to be apart of society and have a voice. Nowdays we have app-developers, enginners, people who selling exotic coffe/tea, new-age products etc, or maybe working in the distrubution of goods and services, like amazon employes. People who dont get, or can't get a job at these new "industries" are left out. They are colleteral damage of the new system and the new way of life that the western world has adapted. Just look at detroit or the homlessness of California, or the white-trash neighbourhoods of European countries. Its all apart of capitalism running rampant.

I read his book "Wasted lives" and Gabor Mate's "in the realm of hungry ghosts" in the last month. And feeling redundant and outcasted leads you to addiction and pain.
I can't really expand on this idea enough but I really suggest you to read both books and see how toxic culture is formulated.
