Why does Marvel always make their villains/enemies look SO GOOD! Now I'm only rooting for Namor and the Scarlet Witch.

One of the things I love about how he portrays this character is that he often has a smile playing on his face but it's more like a facade because it doesn't necessarily betray what he actually means or intends at a given moment. It's a faint smirk that's there when he's relaxed but also when he's about to confront an enemy or having a difficult conversation/confrontation.

I actually like how they changed Namor's homeland. Instead of being Atlantis like it is in the comics and other Marvel media, they changed it to a more Aztec/Mayan/Mesoamerican place, Talokan. Not only does this make it perfect to separate Namor from his DC equivalent, Aquaman who rules Atlantis, but it also makes for a nice change of pace from the mythologies that gets represented on film and TV. Maybe it's just me, but I've noticed how there is not a lot of Aztec, Mayan, or Mesoamerican mythology represented in many movies or TV. Like I said, this is a perfect change of pace from what we are used to with the mythologies and super heroes. Greek mythology (Zeus, Hercules, Atlantis, Olympus, etc), Norse mythology (Thor, Loki, Odin, Asgard, etc.), and Egyptian mythology (Khonshu, Moon Knight, etc.).
Hopefully this new iteration of the Sub-Mariner brings more attention to the Aztec/Mayan/Mesoamerican mythologies because I honestly find it to be just as intriguing and interesting as the other mythologies.

Same! Loki was pretty much the only reason I stuck with the MCU as diligently as I did for the first ten years, that’s how much I loved him, and Namor is literally the first character in the entire MCU, since Loki, to have gotten the same degree of attachment from me.

@@Earmo-Imni At first, the thing that interested me the most in the movie was who would be the new Black Panther. But as soon as I saw the trailer, Namor became my focus. And when I watched the movie, he entered my heart forever and became my favorite villain taking Loki's place.
