the fact that they were able to make a guy in shorts with wings on his feet genuinely intimidating is insane
WOW
🎯
The wings have always been the silliest part of Namor, and I couldn't be happier that they absolutely nailed them.
His enemies call him El Niño Sin Pantalones.
The fact that he's more intimidating than a LITERAL GOD BUTCHER shows how much they messed Love and Thunder.
I love that Namor looked like he is skating in the air rather than just normal flying/floating
Skating...Great description!
It did look really cool best part of the movie
You know namor is a badass for casually walking out of the water into your own country like if he was the ruler.
He was war ready
He just wanted to go for a walk.
A very enthusiastic walk.
technically he is the ruler, i mean oceans are all over the world and we have a 114 nautical miles sovereignty on sea from shore, so if namor applies that to surface dwellers that means all coastal cities around the world are his sovereignty
As a lifelong Namor fan who thought we’d never see him in live action, they did Namor right & the creative liberties taken only made the character more interesting
Agreed. He’d be so boring if they kept him straight out of the comics.
Some facts of sorts.
Let me ask u this, integrating Vibranium to Namors “suit” was it tasteful or used nicely or was it a miss? The way Shuri explained that the original vibranium ore comet could’ve landed off the Gulf of Mexico makers super sense since that’s where many believe that the asteroid that destroyed the dinosaurs landed
Wait till they adapt the love triangle between Namor, Sue Storm and Reed Richards
This is awesome to hear! I really loved his character.
The transitions from actor to cgi actor is flawless
Namor was a powerhouse in this movie. Can't wait to see him interact with other characters like Shang-chi or the fantastic 4
@Gabe Mark Not yet but we still have time.
@Gabe Mark they are in the mcu along with xmen, once Xavier and reed was introduced in ds2
@Gabe Mark it's still mcu as a whole
He smashes the Invisible chick doesnt he? I forgot who he has an affair with 😂
@@AGCcachanilla in the comics he and Sue Storm had a thing where he lusted after her and was infatuated but Sue never really fully returned his feelings. Not sure if that would work with his origin story from the new movie. It would only make sense if they made Sue non-white or mixed.
I thought they would be lame but seeing them on screen they’re actually cooler than I expected.
no, they are still lame
@@System-ly6de Just like your opinion
@@System-ly6de Hey! Official DC channel just aplouded a cool video where James Gunn announces new projects! Go there and see something on your iq level
It's not a matter of them being lame, it's just they look impractical and silly. Tiny little Tinkerbell wings on your ankles is not enough to provide lift for an entire human being. Especially someone's who's supposedly as strong as the Hulk, and possibly just as heavy.
There's a reason why giant wings like Angel from X-Men look practical. Or maybe slightly smaller but still big enough to carry an entire person into the air. But tiny little ankle wings?? I'm sorry, NO.
@@samcollends yeah tell that to super-human imortal being godlike, losing to some man wearing bat suit.. and then stop fighting when someone calling marta..
What I'm most impressed with is they made a character with wings on his feet intimidating.
I think they pulled it off really well. The different ways that he flew was one of coolest parts of his character.
The hummingbird movement was something I definitely picked up on when watching the movie, interesting about the rest
My dad couldn't get over the winged feet, I thought it was pretty cool and original, it's a goofy concept but they did a great job with Namor imo
Yeah it looks silly af. But at the end of the day, it's all just fiction..
I would think the feet aren’t the problem it’s his dad bod…knowing the character from comics ..this Namor looks soft it’s a hard sell watching him ,he’s able to lift 70 tons in the comics . Namor s got a dad bod . Lol
When I saw it on the cinema I was like " That's so cool " , they made him authentic and realistic. And so menacing.
namor was my favorite part of the whole movie!
The movie had more highlights than Namor !
@@fahimalfaisal7781 not for me. namor ruled the screen! i was just watching it yesterday, and everytime namor is on screen its intense. he is a mutant, and X-Men are forever! 🙅🏻
i love the fact that they mixed both computer visuals but also practical effects as it does at least make it feel realistic. i was wowed by namor's physicality in the way he flew like that.
Namor's fight scenes are awesome
The character animation on namor is fantastic! I love how it feels like he's galloping on air to get more momentum and purchase
I love marvel with their creativity characters, stories and more ❤. I wish DC becomes like this one day
You had me until DC
lmao the fanboyism you’re speaking like someone who has never read a DC comic
@who knows what i'm doing here
Dc stole flight from Marvel
Namor is the first comic character to fly.
@@cringekiller348 I mean... Flight was everywhere in books, but dc sure stole namor and made aquaman.
DC comics were better than marvel, but marvel has definitely won on transitioning to video media
Wakanda Forever Amigos 🙅🏻
Hola, are you latino or american with latino roots?
That was beautiful and genius 😍
The realization of his wings on film was AMAZING. I was really impressed. They could have copped out a bit and just made them some kind of machine, kind of like how Falcon had tech for his wings, but they were like, "Nope, we're gonna do this and make it awesome." Props to them.
Shuri held her own but I feel if Chadwick was alive ehhhhh that black panther vs namor would have been epic
Namor is such an intriguing addition to the MCU, despite being introduced as a villain, I would love to see his hero journey and how his redemption arc would look like. I also need to see how the Wakanda - Talokan alliance would work and how it will affect each kingdom because I imagine there must be factions from both sides who don't like the alliance.
This is exactly why I’m excited for the BP series. I am hoping they bring back Namor specially for the character arc. I would luv to see his more heroic side and to see how the two worlds can come together
i love how they adapted Namor in movies, the creative team never sleeps
I love that he has more of a swimmers body as opposed to being ripped af
Sure, hes not as slim as most swimmers, but that bigger size helps emphasize that he has strength
Yeah it’s a great look, and he’s only bound to get better as the movies progress
YESSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As a Fan of Namor, I am so happy with how He was represented
in this Movie! Especially his Wings they're Awesome!!! Definitely one of the Best MCU Villains!!!
1:02 That’s a nice idea for a Namor Variant 😂
Best villain character arc in phase 4 👌
I think Wenwu makes for a valid contender too 😊
There were many others !
@@JamesGroot no
He ain't a villain but an anti hero
When I watched the movie, the thing that stayed consistently on my mind was how great they made Namor look.
In Loving Memory Of Our King
Chadwick Aaron Boseman
(11/29/1976-8/28/2020),
And Michael Kenneth Williams
(11/22/1966-9/6/2021),
Dedicated To Dorothy Steel
(2/23/1926-10/15/2021).
Black Panther villains are always the best💯 I was very happy to see KILLMONGER again. Namor needs more screen time.
Aside from Doctor Doom, Namor is practically central to the Fantastic Four.
His little pigeon wings are super cool n they did an amazing job. Him n all that he can do for his ppl that live under water is the best part of the entire movie 🍿
Just Outstanding ❤️🫰
The VFX that they are able to use to make us truly believe that these things are real never fails to blow my mind. Incredible work 👏
the feet wings made him so op, mf was practically in creative mode the whole movie. Was so satisfying when Shuri finally fuckin rips em off 💀
Namor was a one-man army. Disney/ Marvel, give Tenoch Huerta a stand-alone movie!
I can wait for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever streaming tomorrow on Disney Plus.
2:14 "it was so much fun'', said vfx artist excitingly.
Dude their hardwork is really paying off I was very amazed to see namor flying that way❤
Amazing work. This is really incredible
they did a great job with him!
Namor 🧔🏽⚜🔱🇲🇽 was doing great in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever 💜🖤😇🕊👑🤴🏿🧔🏿🙏🏿🙅🏿🐆, Tenoch Huerta with great acting skills.
Namor had a awesome debut into the MCU… a good villain
Marvel's VFX is God Level 🔥❤
WOAH WHAT!? For the first time in forever someone isn’t hating on marvel vfx/cgi?
Only in yo dreams
@@LiteralmenteoL stuff like this video shows when it is.
@@Jax.hellbound Es un canal de Marvel, qué esperabas? 😂
There’s lotta room to improve imo
BPWF is the best phase 4 film 🙌🏻
There were others as well !
Marvel hands down nailed Ikaris’ and Namor’s flight vfx
Namor is my new favorite character in the MCU
Best movie
I'm gad they did a break down of this. I really loved the Namor flight effect.
Wakanda Forever deserves every award they receive and more. The beauty of this dam Marvel Movie is powerful. I pray everyone from production design, costume design, every part of music score and all, the actors and actress, film editors, cinematography and the director get an award. I guess I just love water. This was so freaking BEAUTIFUL TO ME.
They did a fantastic job.
Best marvel movie of phase 4. It was a thrill and namor was well executed.
it's amazing that they did an excellent job, it's an admiring job with brilliant minds ♥️
Namors action scenes were epic
I loved new namor 💪
THAT'S ABSOLUTELY AMAZING !
Simply..they nailed it 🔥🔥🔥
I still cant believe how they made a guy who has wings on his ankles & green underwear. When he was cutting down ships it was so badass. I do think in future apperances he will have more of a costume instead of the tiny greenies lol
He wears a black vest in the comics.
When ur used to reading about Namor in the comic books u think it will be a difficult feet to replicate onscreen in live action. Marvel Studios brought something to the table that enhanced the Namor character and a cultural depth that u never seen in comic books but also at the same time made him a weaker advisary onscreen. I liked it 50/50.
Loved it !!!
Namor sculpture emerging from the water
Great effort 🤩 It is Amazing 🤟🏻
I been saying since this movie came out this is new levels of athletic agility in superherodom nobody moves like Namor not Thor not Captain Marvel nobody that can fly can do it like this guy it’s a way different thing
VFX and Character Design.. About creative as it gets. Such a cool and fun field to be in.
Loved Namor's flying style, cool to see it broken down like this
For sure me I don’t have nothing to say but just this movie made me a strong person and marvel your my best in universe I can’t stop thinking about it ❤
Namor was absolutely amazing.
Awesome antagonist
Namor's flight movements were too clean. He was nice with it 🔥
Cool flying scenes
According to the nerds at Marvel Comics the wings are more for stability/navigation than actual flight, he can still fly if they're removed, he just flies really badly. And yes, they do grow back if removed.
Just pretend he's using birds as Rocket boots 😀👍 simple and clean
Excellent job with his flight, he looked badass. However, you're not convincing anyone that his wings were powerful and could generate enough thrust to push him through the air, they're tiny.
It’s like it’s comic books which are silly ?
@@fahimalfaisal7781 I'm on board with it. I just want them to know it's nonsensical but it works cause it's fantasy and they made it look cool. Any talk about thrust and power is irrelevant because it makes no physical sense.
Loved namor!
amazing effects
I loved it so much, if he wasn't in the movie I wouldn't have watched it. He stole the show, and was just amazing.
Can y’all release the dang movie already I wanna watch it at home
brilliant!!!
The VFX team for Marvel is amazing
That sound dey made was really fun for me 😂😂😂
Black panther is one of the best movie of MCU
Namor is awesome .
This such a wow
I've seen it. It's so cool 😎😍
Wakanda forever! 🙅🏾♂️🙅🏾♀️🙅🏽♂️🙅🏽
Namor's flying method is the coolest!
The best marvel movie of last year
Lollll no
So true
It was the worst out of all Marvel movies released in 2022
Well, Love and Thunder and Multiverse of Madness aren't exacly good films, so...
None of them were good.
Namor's ankle wings reminds me of Percy Jackson's winged shoes.🤩
We miss old MCU
Namor is becoming my new favorite marvel character
Namor is cool. Freakin cool
All the negativity I saw from reviewer’s…bought the movie and absolutely loved it. I was surprised how intimidating Namor came off in the film, it was dope ! 💯🔥
What is the title of the music on the end after the "This is my house" soundtrack?
I’m talking to you commenters I’m talking to the website people.
At first glance, it does look silly. Especially seeing the transition from comic book illustrations to live action. But all of that doesn't matter when you see this fool wrecking people and dropping bodies. Can't wait to see what further role Namor will play in the Multiverse Saga.
Awesome movie
Cool 😎
I thought they were going to do liberties of not flying when Namor was announced, but they did it.
Maybe Namor could stand tow to tow with Kang the Conqueror in a fight. That would be interesting.
His ego sure could.
IMO this version of Namor is better than his comic counterpart because he's far more interesting.
Just wondering how different would it have been if it was Tanoch and Chadwick acting it out as Namor and Tchalla..Like how would the dynamic be more to the current comics status quo.
I always think the same thing. Ever since he passed the whole mcu felt different
Nice
