    Namor is one of the very first Marvel characters who doesn't have alot of his own series & who only shows up in Black Panther & Fantastic Four comics. He's literally never around whenever there's a huge event going on. The fate of the world or universe is at stake & he couldn't be bothered lol. Marvel needs to do more with him much much more.

    • @rnklv8281
      @rnklv8281 Год назад +18

      The Sub-Mariner did seem to make many "cameo"/cross-over appearances in the Marvel comic book universe, and Namor did seem to have a distant co-existence relationship with the other Marvel characters. Perhaps because of his mistrust in humans for using the oceans (his realm) as a toxic waste dump. An analogy might be the difference on how Native Americans and early European settlers viewed nature.

Then again, when Thanos snapped half of everything away, obviously Namor with all his sea life, and more citizens than blades of grass in Wakanda, it would be absolutely catastrophic

    You left out a few Namor factoids there. First, he has a healing ability which is triggered by being in the water. Namor can go toe to toe with anybody so long as he can get to water in order to heal. All Atlanteans have this ability, but Namor's ability is 'Wolverine-level' because he is a mutant hybrid. Second, Namor's mixed heritage makes him go insane if he spends too much time in one element. If he's out of the water or in the water for too long, he loses it. That's the main reason he switches from hero to villain so often.

      🤣 it's quite obvious that you don't know about Comics or Namor at all, the reason why I Namor attacks everyone he encounters is because of his half-breed heritage, because of his unique heritage it interferes with his blood that's why he is always calm or violent and also has to do with him going up and down inside of water, this was explored in the Namor series that came out in the 90s

      Namor is racially ambiguous, he's not a straight up white man, since "newsflash"...Atlantians are NOT REAL. So the most he could have been is half white, but he has always MOSTLY LOOKED ASIAN. So why aren't you asking for an ASIAN casting? And why are you NOT complaining about Aquanman who is NOT Racially Ambiguous, since he's always been depicted as a Blonde Hair Blue Eyes WHITE MAN, but DC/WB decided to make Aquaman Hawaiian and cast Jason Mamoa...so why the double standards? What's wrong with improving a Racially Ambiguous character such as Namor, when he's been mishandled and underutilized decades in the Comics?

      Namor is Roman spelled backwards. It has nothing to do with it being Spanish or any other language. Everett liked it because it sounded regal. Also he is a mutate, not a mutant, because he was alive inside his mother when she drank the potion to give her water breathing abilities. Movie Namor's body was altered by the potion so his powers didn't happen because of the "X genes" like Cyclops had.
