      I get it but we will have to replace at some point. T'Challa is too important to the Black Panther figure and Wakanda, as well as his stories and other relationships across the world. If we learn anything from Chadwick and that is he was not a selfish guy. Ryan talk about what that role meant to him and how far he would go to dive deep into it. That don't sound like the type of guy who would think the character should be removed completely. His own family who knew him best said the same thing. We honor his legacy by also honoring the character to be recast. Put your own personal feelings aside and think about the bigger picture of who this character is and his stories. When Heath died, did we think we could get another great Joker and then came along Joaquin. If Michael Keaton or Christian Bale left us during their time as Batman, would we just kill Batman forever. How many Spider Man actor have their been. See my point? These popular characters live on and giving another actor at some point to try to be just as good as Chad will be great.

    • @violet_skrs
      @violet_skrs Год назад +2

      @@mikep1496 you bring up, how new actors have played joker, batman, or spider-man.
      but you ignore how those are all seperate, defined stories & movies. they aren't playing the same exact character, in the same ongoing cinematic universe. it's alot harder to recast the role for an established character in the MCU then it is to do so when making an entirely new movie universe.
      besides, disney (kevin feige) more than likely knew well in advance of chadwick bosman's cancer. 'the mouse' holds it's employees under a tight contract, regardless, telling your boss that you could die in a few years is something most proffessionals will do.
      i kinda like that instead of moving on (recasting) they will instead pass the torch to another character, almost like a tribute to his work/impact on the character and mcu. it was already planned more than likely, time table for that change was just got moved up sadly.
      Black Panther (in the mcu at least) was meant to be passed from one generation to another as time went on. my money is on shuri becoming the new Black Panther.
      edit: also, you want black panther to be recast when in a way the hero is being recast already, in a round about way at least. they just aren't recasting the role of t'challa and having another existing chracter to fill the shoes. which in turn will also lead to some intetesting story as the new BP strives towards, and struggles to, fulfill the legacy of their predecessor (both irl actor, and in-universe character).
      honestly this is the right move for a difficult and sad situation as i've been thinking it through.

    • @mikep1496
      @mikep1496 Год назад +1

      @@violet_skrs Sorry I disagree 100%. You also made some assumptions specifically with their knowledge and plans about Chad. Let speak on facts only. As I stated, T'Challa has too many stories...too many. He is the ONLY Black Panther figure and himself who has a major impact and though Shuri thrives in her own stories, it is not like T'Challa. Yea lets kill the ONLY biggest BLACK superhero character and figure completely off all to please the emotions of some(audience) who don't see the bigger picture of character, story and impact. It's not about just the Black Panther suit and giving another character a chance to wear it to do something different, this is about T'CHALLA. This is something you don't get. The character hasn't even been explored 1/2. We only got a taste. You don't get it and are with the small group of people who just want to erase. We won't agree so don't reply try to convince

    Coogler can really do no wrong with his movies. I've always been excited for his projects! Even though T'Challa would've been a great character to keep around and recast, I'm excited to see the stories they'll tell with Shuri and the other characters that will 100% step up their already great game.

    The way he looked on a side when questioning "how do we move forward?" You can really see he missed Chadwick and they had more then just a job relation...and indeed overoll he does seem a good hearted human...such a rare quality now days...keep going mr. Coogler...

    "There's gonna be big set pieces. But what people will remember are the conversations."
    That is the main power of MCU movies. Its not the CGI, action. Its the characters and their stories.
    I hope this movie creates twice the history the first one did.

    Chadwick Boseman was not just a great Black Panther/T'Challa, he was a great overall actor & human being. I urge people to see his work in 42, Get On Up, Thurgood, and his final films about war buddies & a jazz trumpeter. He deserves a posthumous honorary Oscar, and will be sorely missed!
