@Derek Noel thanks for your reply. I got to the site through google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff now. Takes quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
It was the best insight to Ryan Coogler. I have seen. Favorite part: the part about his creative writing teacher. I cried. I love when people sow seeds. That was so inspiring.
"Filmaking is an incredible way to trigger empathy in other people...to get people to relate to characters they've never met before" This is what makes Creed so great even for those of us who don't care about boxing as a sport (OK, I admit to loving some of the earlier Rocky films)... and what makes Black Panther so amazing for audiences from every culture on the planet. Ryan Coogler is able to bring us to empathize with his characters, even difficult ones, or ones who are struggling with internal demons (why Killmonger is perhaps Marvel's best antagonist). 31 years of awesome, Mr Coogler, here's hoping for decades and decades more!
1 year later I see this video and he is actually an everyday guy. At least based on the people I know. Wondering why you were surprised then, put the word WORKED in all caps.
Small minded people! It Never fails! - There's always going to be someone thinking "Ryan- a black man - can't possibly have a work ethics- couldn't possible have a brain- Small minded people what a sad lot!
To be honest, he makes me want to be the filmmaker that I would like to be. He actually inspires me to write and study film that much more. Telling a story through film is one of the best gifts you can give to the people, especially when he talks about portraying your emotions and presenting it to a broader audience...whether you're a screenwriter or even whatever job you do. It comes down to pure passion and that's absolute truth!
My god he's so cool. Fruitville station had me shaking crying at the end. No film has done that to me that I didn't have a direct emotional link to before or since so I'm happy that his goal was forfilled. Hero.
I’ve always wanted to make films growing up and learn everything about movies. Ryan Coogler has shown me that even though I’m black, maybe that successful movie director dream is achievable. He inspired the hell outta me and I want to be like him if not better than him.
I just Love the fact that he isn’t perfect and extremely humble! Sometimes you think that you have to talk, look, walk and act like everyone else to do that thing that you love, but you don’t. You just need passion and Pursuit!!
1. Create from the Heart. This was touching hearing about the story again behind 'Creed' , it really moved me. I lost my father a few years a back also. I understand to seeing him wither away. I've loved Rocky since I was 6 also. 10. Get Inspiration. Ryan Coogler is my inspiration. I'm a young aspiring filmmaker, hearing about Ryan's path to where he is now is so inspirational. I know that it's possible for me to get there too! Thank you so much for this one Evan! I'll be watching this one again!
The most empowering statement was “Make the best decision at the moment”. That is many times the most difficult to do in the moment. He is very inspiring!
Kudos to Ryan for claiming his A.D.D. He didn't have to add that in but he did. Lots of people struggle with it and he's proof that it can be overcome and the sufferer can go on to do great things.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Hopefully more people will be learn from him, not letting any challenges stop or limit them. #Believe :) #BTA572 Shine
Jaime Martinez thank you for suggesting Ryan Coogler. As a aspiring writer I really needed this. Ryan is one of my favorite director's and writers out now making amazing films.
Me too. That story just like his films had me at the edge of my seat with interest on how he got started on this path. I can't wait to find my path hopefully follow it with the passion he has for his films.
He's great and quickly becoming one of my favorite director of his generation. He appears to have a good head on his shoulder, great values and he seems to have had a lot of different interests that led him where he's at now. After Fruitvale Station, Creed and Black Panther I cannot wait to see what he does next in his career.
I adore him. So so inspiring & such a pure soul. Amazing how his teacher literally shaped his destiny. Gives me chills. She must be so proud. Thank you for this.
Thank you for this video! I really needed this! Ryan Coogler rule number 1 is also my favorite. He is very inspiring and watching this has motivated me to follow my own heart and to stop doubting myself and just write!
I'm glad that you're feeling inspired by our content, it means a lot. Thank you for sharing and thanks for watching! Much love. :) #BelieveNation #BTA766 Luka
I think a passion that is deemed impossible can be viable and successful in spite of the odds. Ryan certainly proved this by following his heart, having ADD, and finding success as a first-time filmmaker.
Thanks for the shout out, Evan. Counting down the days for the arrival of your book. Rasa and I are at a point where we are looking further into our futures and your book will be coming at a great time. I have immense #gratitude for you and the #believeteam!
Powerful stuff dude! Ryan Coogler is a Renaissance “MAN” who looks into his heart and says yes to the passion that lies within! This is obvious from the stellar results he’s gotten so far.
After seeing this I am officially a fan of Ryan Coogler! Being an artist I completely agree with a lot of what he said inspiration, motivation, insight and wisdom. I would love to meet him!
“A great player is someone who has a God given talent and a naturally consistent work ethic. When those two things meet, that is when you have greatness” Thanks Ryan!
The way he tells the story about his writing class professor is basically proof of what she told him, becuase he makes you feel like you're right there on the campus, and the events are happening all around you
# 6 When he said "Great Talent and unnaturally consistent work ethic" This is the one that I will take away with me. Big thanks for posting this. I'm about to direct my 1st big professional production back east. I needed to hear this.
A great and inspiring human being and film maker! Thanks too to the professor who saw talent, planted that seed in him and helped him to water it and who’s now a friend if his. Bravo!
Oprah once said true power isnt about how much money you have or how many people know you but rather finding out what God's purpose in life is for you and following it
“Find your true path” #5 . I can relate to this more than ever being a college student in today’s society. (Creed 1, not Rocky 7, just like Michael B said) 😊
I'm glad that you're feeling inspired by our content, it means a lot. Thank you for sharing and thanks for watching! Much love. :) #BelieveNation #BTA766 Luka
I LOVED the Find your True Path story (Rule #5)! So inspiring how he immediately went to discover the new path with such interest. Thank you for sharing Evan! A video for Michael B Jordan pleeeease!!!! :)
Very inspiring, he seems very authentic and grounded. Watched Creed last year and highly recommended it to others as 'the best movie of 2015'. One of the best too 10's believe team. Idea: do a top 10 of the best top 10 for 2016 👌
I love that he understands how emotion is big part of filmmaking. As an aspiring filmmaker, that's my priority too. If you can feel something at the end of the movie then I've done my job right. Also to strive to be great. So much gems in this video thanks Evan. Also I love pulp fiction, it's my favorite movie. Great to know that was the first screenplay and movie he bought.
The story about finding his true path with his writing professor really interested and resonated with me so number 5 was my fav. He shows me what is possible through passion and dedication and love of movies. LOVE ALL HIS FILMS! KING KILLMONGER AND WAKANDA FOREVER! Ryan Coogler is a young master filmmaker in his prime that exudes excellence and seems very humble. He is a true inspiration to an aspiring filmmaker like me. I can't stop watching his interviews lol.
Evan this is amazing....i loved everything ryan said and cant wait to see black panther. the one thing that stood out was Make good decisions...as a filmmaker myself some of the decisions i made were best for the movie, however most didnt feel it was right and not back me up when needed. so i move to make better ones including having a better team
Very Inspirational. It's important to always put Passion and 100% into your Craft in order to maximize your potential. Really rooting for this Brotha and as an ambitious actor I hope to work on a project with him in the Future.
His story about meeting with the Professor who recognized his gift for writing hit home for me bcz I became a professional writer jettisoned on that path by a high school journalism teacher who recognized my gift before I did (even though I excelled academically in all subjects). Also, and this is an even bigger deal. But personally coming from the Black community I think imagery makes a huge difference in our youth knowing what fields are out there to be explored. What different gifts they have that can be used for so many different career paths. And how one's paths often SHOULD be different from any one group of peers. I know Coogler comes from a professional family. So I was a bit shocked to hear him say his father was broken-hearted he chose to drop football and go to Film School. Pro Sports are a pipe dream (and I'm a sports writer/reporter/magazine owner) for 99.99999999999999999% of the American population. And coming from a marginalized minority community often some of those who "make it" have no other tangible skills/gifts they've developed earnestly to go forward. Coogler clearly had a passion and talent not being encouraged at home. So it's hard to fathom his father's disappointment over his son choosing a professional path other than athletics.
What a talent guy !..just think If he sticks his passion one day he might make a major superhero movie the will gross a billion dollars worldwide in the first month!
This was everything Evan! The top 10 series is my favorite! Im so grateful you have been putting these on for so long now. Love coming back to them. Can you do Babyface too? I hella love you and your team Evan!!!
Love Ryan Coogler! We need Ryan Coogler now that John Singleton is gone. He is a much needed visionary for his generation. Sexy; fine, intelligent and comes from a strong family foundation. I can see why he and Chadwick Boseman were friends.
I didn't know who this was at the start of the video but really happy when i realised. loved number 5 a great story and makes me want to inspire people to find their path. awesome as always thankyou. would love a top 10 on Arsene Wenger at some point too. thanks
He's right. He's 31 but he's the new kid on the block. If he kept playing football he either woulda retired early or been in the twilight of his career but really 25-35 are prime years for guys. He's got sooooo far to go and only has 3 major films to his credit and one of them is grossing $400 million already!!!! Inspiring stuff.
Thank you very much for your suggestion but it would be great if you could post your request under this video: ruclips.net/video/0arZb0xLIDM/видео.html If more people would vote or like your request and there are available videos/clips for it, we might do a Top 10 rules video for it. Please do one on the late great Bernie Mac... but this was good. His story alone inspires me. Age not ethnicity was ever an excuse. He is just driven and motivated to do something he is passionate about. Good stuff! Keep up the great videos. I listen to One every morning.
Thanks for the suggestion. I will pass it on to #BelieveTeam. :) Thank you very much for making our videos part of your morning routine. Much love. #BTA338 Shine

Haven't even finished the vid yet...already #1 is my favorite. All the things I want to do in the golf industry is for the twinkle in my handicap chair ridden father's eyes who just wants to swing one more time! Yeah...I'm crying right now.

So he's a genius! Lol! He's great in math, science, and he wrote his first screenplay. Multi-talented! How? Just How? Lol!

He’s definitely a genius.
Love Ryan Coogler! We need Ryan Coogler now that John Singleton is gone. He is a much needed visionary for his generation. Sexy; fine, intelligent and comes from a strong family foundation.
I can see why he and Chadwick Boseman were friends.
Yayyy! #Believe 💛😊 - Ahmed
Great video...I think R.C. greatest strength is his genuinely humble soul and love for the medium.
Glad you like it :) #BTA793 Luka

I didn't know who this was at the start of the video but really happy when i realised. loved number 5 a great story and makes me want to inspire people to find their path. awesome as always thankyou. would love a top 10 on Arsene Wenger at some point too. thanks
Glad you liked it Ash and thanks for the suggestion. #BTA338 Shine

That is a message
Glad you like it :) #BTA982 Luka
Loved the video and I loved what Ryan Coogler had to say. Could you do one for Producer Will Packer.
Thank you very much for your suggestion but it would be great if you could post your request under this video: ruclips.net/video/0arZb0xLIDM/видео.html If more people would vote or like your request and there are available videos/clips for it, we might do a Top 10 rules video for it. Much love. :) #BelieveNation #BTA766 Luka
That’s an amazing teacher
Thanks for watching :) #BTA795 Luka
Please do one on the late great Bernie Mac... but this was good. His story alone inspires me. Age not ethnicity was ever an excuse. He is just driven and motivated to do something he is passionate about. Good stuff! Keep up the great videos. I listen to One every morning.
Thanks for the suggestion. I will pass it on to #BelieveTeam. :) Thank you very much for making our videos part of your morning routine. Much love. #BTA338 Shine
thank you! thanks for inspiring us all
Michael B Jordon... would love to see a top 10 of him please. Thanks Evan for this amazing channel.

Haven't even finished the vid yet...already #1 is my favorite. All the things I want to do in the golf industry is for the twinkle in my handicap chair ridden father's eyes who just wants to swing one more time! Yeah...I'm crying right now.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and feelings Icekuul. Much love. :) Always #Believe! #BTA338 Shine
Nice! !!!!Great inspiration. number 4&5 were the ones that stood out the most to me.
