Nice! My desk setup looks a lot like yours. In fact, I also use an iPad mounted on an extension arm for Zoom hearings. I keep it at the same height as my head so I'm not looking down. This also frees up my iMac desktop computer so I can browse documents and statutes while I'm appearing virtually before a judge or court commissioner. (I prefer to blur my background.) The whiteboard desk is a cool idea and I can really appreciate its utility. For quick notes I use Rocketbook. It's an erasable notepad that is reusable. The really cool part is the ability to quickly scan the pages with their app (it reads a QR code embedded on the page). Not only does this create PDFs but it also converts your handwriting to OCR for cloud storage. It definitely beats legal pads... My law practice went virtual in 2020 and I have never looked back. I love it! I'm pretty much paperless now and have trained my clients to be more Internet savvy. (Btw, I'm a DJ on the weekends)
DJ and lawyer!? That’s awesome! Thanks for sharing your setup. Have you tried writing on your iPad with Apple Notes? Apple’s ability to turn my messy handwriting into text is pretty handy
First of all, your setup is really nice. Second, I don’t believe you can keep your desk looking like that while practicing law. Either you have to scrape it, or there must be times when you can’t see your whiteboard. I use the same technology and actually use two iPads simultaneously. The lit suite for iPad is amazing for litigation. I use iPads instead of standard apple computers 80% of the time. I would show you my desk, but I would be arrested for hoarding.
😂😂 oh I have a bad habit of turning my original desk into a dumping ground when I’m swamped. Fortunately, I’ve become more disciplined with shredding paper and not keeping everything. My biggest issue is writing something important on the whiteboard and waiting way too long to erase it. I may reach out to you so I can get some iPad input!
What helps keep you productive?
Great Space!! Keep up the great work!
