Great video, very impressive quality for under 300 subs! Really enjoyed the humour and always appreciate people doing honest and real breakdowns of business finances.
I really like your attitude, the way you communicate and your choice of words. Thank you for the video. You would definitely make another type of video material and would grab the interest. You have a very good culture.
Nice job here dealing with the people and what a beast that Scooter is at times looks like the front wheel is jumping up and leaving the road surface - Pure delivery power spec for sure 🙃
I do this as a second job in Australia. It gives me a reason to go outside meet new people which I like, but I would never do it as a full timer. That would work out to be too many long hour days and stress! We don't have a tipping culture here either, but one out of every 10-15 deliveries will tip a few dollars here or there which is awesome.
If you want to make more money get shifts with a busy takeaway rather than using the apps. Many customers for takeaways pay cash at the door, so you get a lot more tips plus you see the same customers all the time so you get to know them.
Yeah I've thought about that, the only issue for me is that I can't really commit to regular shifts, so unless they have the same flexibility as Uber Eats and Deliveroo, I think I might be stuck with them 🙁
@@Sheffielddelivers Well ask around, offer to cover maybe, so if one of their regular drivers is sick or can't work a shift they will need someone for one off cover for an evening, over time you can be their go to guy when they need extra help, and they won't hold it against you if you are unavailable, lots of places have reserve drivers as back ups, people have flat tyres or breakdowns so they need to be flexible. Then see what develops...
Even on days when ive made 6 quid an hour, ive still enjoyed it. I do it for a few "beer tokens" a week and just enjoy riding around my seaside town (torquay) seeing places and people.
I'm looking to do this to supplement my income but have only managed to get signed up to deliveroo atm. Really struggling to get Uber/Just Eat signed up and I don't think it's worth it with just deliveroo, unfortunately!!
Deliveroo is generally better paying than Uber Eats. I've never managed to get registered for Just Eat despite trying multiple times. Where do you deliver?
@@Sheffielddelivers I'm down south, delivering in and around Brighton area. I did my first shift of a couple hours on Friday evening and noticed that the pay was quite good from deliveroo, compared to miles/time taken to complete!! Just hoping I can get one of the other 2 alongside it, to keep the jobs consistently coming in when I am online🤞
started doing this couple month ago for uber eats in doncaster. it was quiet one night so i was looking for earnings and sheffield city centre was red so went there got myself a ulez fine and went in a tram lane in hillsborough haha never been back
Hi mate, just found this channel today along with a lot of other channels in this style, I'm currently on UC with the job market being awful as it is especially for someone like me just in early 20's and recently let go from first job. Applied for Uber and looking around for a bike to do it on, do you think it's a good Job for people on Benefits like UC who can only just afford rent, wifi and food while looking for a job. Hoping to put money away every month and get a proper E-bike or an E-moped instead of an actual pedal bike, fingers crossed.
I think it can be, doing it on a bike can be tiring and you will be limited to shorter orders so start with that and then try and get an ebike as quickly as you can or buy a converter kit to change your bike into one
To be honest I don't think the market is saturated, certainly not in Sheffield, and many people are doing this as a second job, talked to many other riders who do this to supplement their income.

Really appreciate the comment

Thank you for your kind words
Hi mate, I've been doing this part-time for 6 weeks now for Uber. Also from Sheffield, I love it. All the best, ps. love the videos
Cheers Harvey, which part of Sheffield do you work in?
impressive video for 400 subs !!
i really like the the conversational style, and the editing + overlays are looking great, well done
Thanks, really appreciate that!

Thanks, much appreciated

Sounds similar to my situation, interesting to hear that tipping in Australia is similar to here

Yeah, that's how I feel, but know I'm fortunate that I don't have to do it as a full time job
Keep grinding my friend
Thanks 🙏
Great to hear that specialist insurance is needed. Would be interesting to know how many other delivery drivers have it...
You do have to upload your insurance certificate to their apps to prove you have it, though I suspect there may be workarounds to that
great job
thank you

Yeah, it's ridiculous the city centre, only worth doing if you're on an ebike so you can ignore all the road rules 😆

why would you get insurance? its such a huge cut
How is it possible to be on Road then ?
Dont bother with psying tax they will never do you any favours put it straight into your pocket.
So you are not paying tax I will report you to hmrc then
@@sebastianjiang9315 😂😂😂 calm down batman
If you'd rather pay with fine included then sure, it all gets reported by the apps
Timmmmay?
I saw the house I rent 10 years ago!
Where was it? 😁
So taking away money from people who do need to do this kind of work as they don't have another FT job.
To be honest I don't think the market is saturated, certainly not in Sheffield, and many people are doing this as a second job, talked to many other riders who do this to supplement their income.
No one is doing this if they don't need it, it's called gig work and better for the customer who will get delivery coverage with the competition
