They busted 2 4wds doing the old coach road and made it seem like it was super hard. I live in Cairns and have done all the tracks up here and the coach road is a 7/10 in my books. The CREB track is a 5/10 dry and a 9/10 wet. Teletrack 6/10 chicken bypass and 9/10 all obstacles. Frenchmans track would be a 7/10. There is 10/10 out there but I do most 4WDing solo and have to be cautious not to get myself in too deep. I have no doubt that the boys from 4WD 24/7 embellish in their adventures, but thats entertaining to watch.

I'm sure they're genuine blokes, but 4WD247 is a show that needs to make money, therefore you can't really trust all that much, from the content to the recommendations. Nulon was the best oil on the planet, now its Castrol. The Dometic fridge was the best, then the MyCoolman, with a little Kickass fridge thrown in for good measure. It was GME, now its Oricom. Recommendations are whoever is paying them the most coin. I've driven some tracks they've had on the show, and they get 30 mins of showtime from something that takes 30 seconds to actually drive. I think sometimes they have to stage it a bit... for the audience and subsequently the sponsors.
Its entertainment. It entertains me, I just don't buy their recommendations. Mind you, their Snatch gear is actually good quality gear. But that is their gear, not some flavour of the month sponsor.

Could that clunk be when you set P on a hill and the car rolls back on the pin. To shift out of P you can get a clunk. Worse case you can’t shift out of P. I got into a habit of setting the hand brake on in neutral, then after you feel the wait come on and you’re stationary, shift to P. Learnt it from Robert Peppers Book amongst many other things from that book. Great vid

It also doesn’t cause any other issues provided the front and rear diffs an slip enough while turning on the surface the tyres are on. Why would you not have it in 4wd?
