Juuuuuusssssstttttt W O W. That was absolutely beautiful. I'm not a huge Begonia person but that was so magical to appreciate them all individually like that. I just LOVE allllllll the black begonia. That blue sheen is everything! I'm also completely mesmerised by the pollination and propagation process!! I didn't realise that so much can be made from one single leaf, and the pollination process was mind blowing. Man! what an awesome video! Thanks again!
Gorgeous begonias, thanks very much for making this video, loved it! I guess you are in terrarium plant's rabbit hole now! Looking forward to see the progress of your propagation. Thanks for sharing and Happy New year!
I love begonias so this was a wonderful video to watch. Also recently set up a terrarium too so your material has been very relatable. I would love to see your haul! 💚🪴🌺
I have some question regarding video, how do they plant the seeds,in what substrate do they grow their plants and where they get hydrolon, those black plant cotton we saw in prop boxes.Nice video👍
I've messaged the shop to pass on the questions. The hydrolon probably came from the person who builds the terrariums - he does that for a living so I'm sure they have the materials
Thanks for the video...very interesting 🙂 Do you know what the black mesh stuff is in the prop tubs? And do you know why they use it...what benefits it provides???
From what I know this is a custom build. But I'm not quite sure! Also they put fish in there just before we left so it is both! In the front bit that I didn't show very well. PS The first comment is from the shop themselves I think!
@@plantwithroos thanks for getting back to me! One of my plant goals of the year is to experiment caring for different types of plants. I would like to attempt building a small terrarium and test out begonias.
The Begonia's are so beautiful. I never knew they are so many different ones.Thank you.

Ooh very cool! What plants are you growing in there? And I'll film a haul!
At 2:37 it looks like that’s actually some type of African violet. Something similar to the African violet called Primulina yungfuensis
Not african violets, Argostemma sp. , they have several sp
Loved this video! Can’t wait for their shop to restock in spring. I would like to know what kind of substrate they use for cuttings?
Me too, some kind of magic soil that holds water! I'll ask next time I speak with them
So cool
Thank you very much!
Love this video I have some experimenting to do! Thank you for a fabulous video.
So glad you like it, thank you!
At 3:28 I believe that is a begonia lambii
I would love to see the haul 🥰

Haha that's awesome! And I'll make a haul video! ✌🏻️
What is little one with the dots in the hybrid box? :)
There's no proper id for many of them. We'll have to wait and see!
Thanks for the video...very interesting 🙂
Do you know what the black mesh stuff is in the prop tubs? And do you know why they use it...what benefits it provides???
I don't know! It's some kind of material that I think holds some moisture and provides something for plants to grab into and climb
It's Hygrolon, artificial climbing material/growth-medium.
@@CasaVipera Thanks 👍
how about tuber propagation ?
I'm not experienced with this yet. But I've had some Begonia pop back up after dying in a heat wave last summer!
I think it’s Begonia curtisii “galaxy”. There is also a curtisii “Milky Way”
I think it's milky way, I talked to the others after but forgot to add the title sorry 🤭😅 thank you!
10:53 is not noid, but begonia arachnoidea
26:57 roseopunctata or saripoi?
They're not saying they don't have id, they do. But they didn't have it there as they are new to their collection. But thanks for all the id help!
12:48 begonia nothobaramensis
Is the terrarium made out of a fish take?
No the fish tank is made into the terrarium 😉
Terrarium was designed for plants as far as I know.
