it's amazing how much better the first guy is than any of the others, he actually walks about all over paris, as opposed to tiny areas.
He does? I thought he just walked up and down the stairs, doing a loop from attic to basement.
that's a better loop than any of the others get, going to two distinct areas instead of...one.@@MSte21
1:57 - In short, Mooney lost his shit completely in the S/A Bangkok mission and yelled so loud out of anger and frustration, no doubt his neighbours heard him.
Bangkok and Marrakesh. Not only that, he never did SA/SO on Marrakesh or Bangkok, however he completed SA/SO on Colorado. Pretty smothly aswell.
Sa was hard but easy with gas in a suitcase
Bangkok was the only one I had to come up with a route myself because the one MrFreeze had done didn’t work for me. I had to pull fire alarms and panic NPCs by shooting the ground, it was a pain.
I remember that!
I somehow managed to utterly bullshit SA/SO on Bangkok by dropping a chandelier on Ken and then literally just bolting up to cross and stabbing him in the back with a syringe in the one spot nobody could see him, just before he has that conversation with his mom about the food.
Absolutely no idea how you're intended to do that outside of just brute forcing it, and I'm also pretty sure my strat won't work on Master Mode (I had to run right past a couple NPCs in Cross's suite, and I think in Master Mode they see you too fast for that to work).
When you mess with the spa water temperature, it doesn't get cold, it gets too hot. As one of the NPCs says, "it's scalding." Yes, they misspelled "scalding" as "scolding". You can also see the temperature going up on the display to the left of the pipe you mess with.
Ah, my bad. I've never paid much attention to the NPC's in the spa's dialogue.
I think scolding might be an American spelling 🤷♂️
@@demonboygaming3024 Scolding is when you verbally reprimand someone. Scolding ≠ Scalding
@@demonboygaming3024 I'm American, and I've never seen it spelled that way.
Glad to see you back with more regularity. The world wasn't the same with you gone.
Somehow I feel like Bangkok is one of the worst maps for elusive targets in the series.
It genuinely feels like the entire map is just a glass house cause everybody can see everything.
Bangkok outside of Colorado is easily the worst designed map of Hitman 1. Disguises are often made useless due to awful enforcer placements, and the terrible map design essentially forces you to take advantage of awkward blind spots in order to get reasonably timed kills. Doing runs without emetic and lethal poisons or explosives makes this map a nightmare, especially in Freelancer mode.
@@SupercharizardExYou're just bad at the game. I've never had an issue with Bangkok.
@youngdolo8 you say that like bangkok isn't widely hated by a majority of the playerbase
@@youngdolo8No need to flex your supremacy in a comment section
@@youngdolo8 no @SupercharizardEx is correct. I've done all missions in sa/so and Bangkok and Colorado are just the worst. And I've done Bangkok with the sound drive kill, and I've about thrown my controller 20 times. I don't know if it's poor placement of guards or anything else he mentioned, but the strat for both are just the gas device because IOI doesn't really put people in great spots to get an accident so you just have to resort to the dart gun or gas device.
I lucked out in Colorado. Hid in the barn, they wandered towards it, and I was able to drop the hay bale on just the target.
There are quite a lot of tricks to make the levels faster. The most unique/useful one in my opinion are panic mechanics. If u panic civilians they wont mind you being in hostile/tresspassing areas as long as they are panicked, usually done with a bullet impact aka very close proximity shot or double shot. This doesnt work on guards but there is also the triple shot/bodyshot trick which panics guards in a unique way (Its indicated with a "!" above their heads instead of the dot). If someone gets shot (lethaly or not) close to a guard (or 3 bullet impacts land nearby) they home in onto the location the shots came from and eventually run to that place. The game creates an area around the place where the bullets were shot from. If the player leaves the area the panicked guards will completely and utterly ignore the player unless he starts shooting at them, that means u can tresspass, be in hostile areas or even carry illegal items in front of them and they will completely ignore you untill they get to that point. This trick is used in basically any speedrun ever and even the more basic "civilian" panic is good to know.
I had to use the panic NPCs strat to do SASO on Master Mode here on Bangkok a few years ago. I would not have been able to get across the roof otherwise.
Yeah, there are lot of ways to use the quirks of the NPC Ai to take advantage of the game. Speedrunners do it all the time. There's a lot I had no idea was even possible, and I'm not talking about glitches like that jump off the cliff in Sapienza caves. More things like, avoiding enforcers by triggering panic like you said, or exploiting their distraction radius by using phones, or moving so that you are constantly at the edge of their vision (that takes precision skills though).
No quirk at all , people tend to focus on the threat or in general the direction the threat is coming from , freaking people out makes them less alert then people who are calm and controlled …. Distractions are a hitman’s proper tools ….
Panic Mechanics sounds like a good name for a Ska band.
39:21 - It's usually reversed in most onsen, with the hot water coming from the spout. Given how Gama is laid out, it's probably sitting on a natural hot spring, hence the cold water.
That last target was so solemn and serious, then Mooney made sure to kill him in the most hilarious and humiliating way possible. Flawless ending. It's impressive they put that whole speech into the level. I do love it when the target realizes who 47 is before he does the job.
I just have the suggestion if you want to plan to play escalations, they are both in Mendoza:
1- The gauchito antiquity.
2- The Pasquel consortium; this escalation has a new idea, 100% you will love it, just don't want to spoil it. :)
I'll keep them in mind bud, cheers.
@@bigMooney06 Thanks, love you 💕
Gave him a great suggestion he did the 2nd
20:23 - 47 was still reloading the shotgun after he got gunned down by the guys in Colorado.
Dedication.
Happened in another of his vids. Hilarious to watch.
With the mercenary, I started up the water tower with a sniper rifle. Popped him, then bounced
i wont lie im kinda disappointed they havent made a new map based on Sarajevo, it could have been an interesting map
39:19 you're shutting off the cold water not hot water with that action, since it's a HOT SPRING. They're dumping cold water into it so it's tolerable for guests. ;)
Mooney this content dump is gonna get us excited for a new upload schedule! No complaints here, keep ‘em coming!
Since you're going back to Freelancer in future I strongly suggest for you to play with Freelancer Variations mod.
It adds a ton of variants for existing maps, even sandbox version of Hantu Port (sniper map).
Hantu Port on the ground?!
@@MSte21 Yep, Hitman 3 modding is becoming more impressive every year.
@@NeroCrossX Holy crap, have to check this out. Thanks!
Been watching your Hitman Videos for a long time now, especially the kill everyone challenges. Came across your channel by random and then just couldn't stop watching. Keep up the great work and please keep making awesome videos.
Cheers bud. :)
Right in the middle of the guy's heartfelt confessional speech, "Mistah Jason Portman..."
i just feel this should have been for free, because they are basically elusive targets (hitman 3 elusive targets where they just walk around the normal level). i dont think they are awful but they shouldn't have been paid missions
It does feel rather basic even for only $5. Maybe if there had been something more to them or if the Six had been on one or two holiday/alternate maps (ideally a new one) that could have justified it but these were rather barebones elusive targets.
They basically were free in their conception as Playstation exclusives back when Hitman 2016 was a bit more of a bare-bones affair.
I would just look towards the cost as a token offering for updating them to work in the 3rd iteration of the game, and a plus for preservation that they are no longer officially locked onto a very old version of the game (even PS4 owners couldn't import these missions into Hitman 2 or higher) on a specific system anymore.
I would love to see Hitman content with some ACTUAL spy/assassin gear like being able to zip line in some areas of a map, or being able to throw a grappling hook to scale a building. Just something to change it up a bit and add more of a cool adventure assassin vibe to the game
Might happen in IOI's James Bond game they're working on these days
love the fact that even as 47 is dying he still manages to reload his shotgun at 20:21
He is THAT good
From my perspective everything IO does seems to have some impact on the future products. Like DLC missions (ie contracts) are generally disfavoured amongst the community as other than the NPC’s the community could make it better. I think it’s something that could be built more intro freelancer - like the story of the ‘syndicate’ you’re hunting.
The Colorado Sarajevo Six target was the only one I didn’t get SA on because when I poisoned him his guards followed so I just blew him up because I couldn’t be bothered figuring out another way. I was pretty disappointed with the Sarajevo Six because like Mooney I expected a bit more.
26:45 "I'm shocked that that worked."
so was the target :)
good to see bigmooney posting frequently here lately, I always enjoy the videos
I actually like the little twist at the end, but it basically makes this a 5-mission DLC with a playable cutscene.
The only way they could make a weapon more broken than the Sieker is if they made a dart gun that shot a lethal syringe
so basically a silenced pistol?
@@We_The_People4Trump yeah but death by poison counts as a unnoticed kill
For some reason i thought that existed, since there was dart guns for the other types of poison but that would be too op
@@jesmccoy26 I'm not 100% sure, but it might have existed in the files, only unused. Maybe the Kalmer 2 uses the actual model now? IIRC the Kalmer 1 is all gray while the Kalmer 2's cylinder is Red. This is unlike the established norm for the poisons where blue is sedative, green is emetic, and red is lethal
Honestly, in-universe, there's no reason something like that couldn't exist.
I did not know you could detonate a remote gas device from inside a briefcase. This is certainly going to be useful! Thank you Mooney!
Doesn't help that Bangkok is completely nonsensical as a hotel map. I get that it's inspired by horror movies by why tf does it need like 5 bars
"I'm shocked that worked."
Yeah, that's what he must have thought too. 😂
14:15 - From what I've seen most of the insanely fast leaderboard times come from a combo of particle boosting plus sniper/pistol distraction and panic shots. Find a clear line of sight, make every NPC in the room look away or run away, snipe the target, drop from your sniper spot right next to an exit via a boost, then extract before everyone looks back.
Ex. the seven second run you bring up later on Colorado starts at the water tower, particle boosts on top of the tower part, fires one cross-map distraction shot to make a guard turn away, pops the target with a cross-map headshot, then drops directly down to the boat exit. ruclips.net/video/fogh4cuXhYo/видео.html
Jesus Christ. That run was ridiculous haha.
John Stubbs was so easy. I got him first try. Patrick was a mess as it took me FOREVER!!! So I just decided fuck it and went on a shoot out to kill him. Koiyama, well take a fokin guess
I got Patrick using the same car Mooney blew up, only it worked for me. I tried several other tactics, including dropping the hay bale on him, but never got away with it.
For the onsen/hot sping in Hokkaido, closing the pipe actually stops the flow of cold water, and the water becomes unbearably hot, which is why everyone leaves. If you listen to the NPC dialogue, some of them say stuff like 'Ow! It's scalding hot!', etc.
I think they added the 'retrieve files' mechanic exactly because the actual target made it super easy to kill him. You could do it SASO no problem. I mean, getting to the director's office SASO isn't that hard either, but still kinda hard, compared to just walking up to him in the yoga place and knocking him off or sth.
I know it's not everyone's thing, but I legitimately enjoy the story aspects of Hitman, so the whole 'I was the one who placed the contracts' reveal was pretty cool. The Bangkok dude also has some interesting dialogue, for those into those things. The rest are completely forgettable. Except Colorado, who is just infurating.
So glad you're back! Another great video
Yessss, I'm so glad you've posted more frequently! I've been missing your videos, Mooney!
I used a glitch to complete this mission silent assassin suit only in which I ended up on the roof of the buildings by the mechanics using the breaching charge, brief case, and violin and used the seiger ghost sniper rifle to kill the target by exploding the suv the target walks by.
Just to help you:
1) Vehicles explode and kill NPCs only if the NPCs are very close and are at the back of the car NOT the front for some reason
2) To kill the Veteran in bangkok fast, you must have a sniper on youand run to the boat exit immediately and shoot the coconuts with sniper but its a bit hard as you cannot see the coconuts so you must memorise the angle where you must shoot 😊
That mercenary mission in Colorado was hilarious, great job sir 👏🏻
26:28 Ladies and gentlemen, we got him. 👍👍👍
I know that GenP's run on Mercenary (rank 23 as of this vid @ 27:35) is legit, that dude is a monster Hitman speedrunner.
Thank you so much for doing commentary while playing, it's so much more engaging compared to what others are doing!
I admit it’s been a hot minute since I’ve personally heard this Scottish accent going at it on Hitman, but I’m honestly glad to have come back. Thanks for the video Mooney 🙌
Let us see how you handle The Mercenary.
Edit: I got him by putting the Remote Micro Taser in a puddle and letting him follow me to it.
There is a spot (if you get lucky) where as soon as you spawn in where, in broad daylight, somehow nobody is looking at him. So you can literally just walk up to him, shoot him in the face, pop him in a dumpster and get SA/SO without even trying
Exactly how Mooney ended up doing it, heh.
@@MSte21, Yeah, I just used a different puddle.
The police must have been really confused after finding that guy's body in Hokkaido, wondering why he was shot in the ass thirty-four times. Was it a message to someone? The world may never know..
The Colorado targets bodyguards have a proximity Ai I believe where they all just suddenly turn into the stalker from the Mallory. Target may also have the Ai too tbh
Also. I think the Hokkaido target is one of the better targets in the game. Take out the file part because that’s just annoying. But if it was more challenging to clear out the location he was in so that he could have his talk, it would be awesome. Having a talk with a dying man who feels empty and wants to die to repent for his sins, it’s super interesting to me. I feel like he just should’ve had a little bit of security stationed, he wants to see you in action after all. And to add they could’ve made it so he’s not an enforcer whatsoever, no reaction to a gun or bodies or anything because it truly shows that he’s prepared for what’s coming.
Would’ve been much more entertaining.
Great watch as always Mooney! Would be interesting to see them adding a day and night cycle system in the game since they don't seem to interested in making new maps and scenarios. Where NPC's actually go to sleep (where they for eg. lie asleep next to their S.O. in a Locked room with maybe only one entrance and guarded by security) or even leave the map (via choppers, limousine's, boats etc.) in which case you can pick them off on the way there or have the Map for reconnaissance/preparation etc. after they have left, leading to lighter security. Ofc. that would work best on maps where NPC's stay longer than just a single day.
The people at the end don't leave the hot springs because they're cold, they leave because it's too hot now.
I admit I did like the final mission, as easy as it was if you get the all-access code from Agent Smith...
But I personally like when 47 talks to his targets like with Agent Montgomery, The Constant, even Jordan Cross.
So, a possible work around for the Colorado mission. Pack in every emetic device you can get your hands on. Pistol, grenade, remote emetic, emetic mine, ect. Another possible would be tranq gun, grenade, mine, chloroform flask, ect. Hunt me? Find a nap, or a trip to the toilet to puke. Concussion grenade/device might work in a pinch. Might be hard to drag them off to isolate individually, otherwise, yeah, sniper time.
Mooney uploads, am happy
I've been watching Big Mooney for years and I swear he comes up with the most overly complicated ways of killing his targets 😂
i have not laughed so much in ages that colorado mission man crying..........lmao ty
When I saw the first episode I had a brief thought to buy the pack and play it myself before watching you do it. Glad I didn't, these contracts were so bland and uninteresting, sort of like elusive targets but even worse. Thanks for playing them anyway, I had some good laughs!
I kinda wish the NPC's could wake up after a certain amount of time even if you hide the body(as long as you don't get spotted), but I mainly go in John Wick style and you can still get suit only if your disguise is compromised
That was actually a thing in the Alpha of the game!
@@HeinerGunnar Honestly they should have left it like that, I like the interaction between the NPC's especially when you switch disguises
If I woke up in a woodchipper, I would assume I was in a Jigsaw trap.
This is probably already out there by now but the reason some of the leaderboard times are impossibly quick is because of trainer/modding software that pauses time among other things like becoming invisible to anyone no matter what.
the speed runs tell me that they got full mastery before getting those times.
It's always good to have a solid/explosive plan B.
Mallory Misfortune rage is timeless
I spent about an hour making the Colorado Sarajevo Six. Then I watched a guide on how to do the hay bale challenge and I actually got killed only the target accidentally. Apparently it is very hard not to kill any other NPC with the hay bale. Anyway, that took me like 10 minutes... this contract makes no sense to me... but I was happily surprised with the special NPC behavior, I got happy that I could still be surprised by this game sometimes.
Love your content man, best videos ever
The propane tank explosion trick could have worked here as well as using the syringe when he’s on the phone
The mercenary can smell you and tells his people to search the area
Amazing video as usual
Patrick Morgan is my new favourite target. Once you get the proximity trigger down, you can get him to follow you, while his guards are left behind. Then you can lure him to whatever doom you see fit! Easiest way is obviously the micro tasers
Car explosions have been somewhat bugged since the release of Freelancer. Sometimes you have to stick the person to the exploding vehicle for it to kill them
15:35 - Colorado is actually my favorite map! And... its kind of your fault. You got me into the whole "Kill em All" thing and since Colorado is one of the worst maps to try and SASO I go in with the knowledge that it will just turn into carnage right off the rip so no stress trying to be sneekeeboi. And since EVERY PERSON ON THE MAP is a guard or a target, I dont have to worry about collateral damage.
I mean the mercenary’s security detail we’re doing their jobs
That NPC in Colorado are extremely funny xD
I always get the master keycard from the hotel manager. She steps out into the lobby shortly after you drop in, so just drop a bananapeel for her to slip on, and you got the master keycard as easy as pie. Just make her slip on a spot where you can pick up the keycard without being spotted to easily. I usually do it to the left of the reception desk where she stops for a while, because you got cover there from the two guards on the left, so you can pick up the keycard without trouble.
PS: Colorodo was just hell because of how they programmed the AI to be magnets on this particular mission.
The part about “talking about his life choices” is not 47’s business….if it wasn’t for his life choices in Sarajevo 47 wouldn’t be here so pretty sure 47 can judge the dude as much as he wants
Yeah I took one look at the Colorado guy and replanned the mission with a sniper up the water tower
Yeah Mooney had not the best time back in the day on this map and I don't blame him. It's a toss up between here and Colorado on my most hated map and I mastery level 20 and SA/SO'd Colorado if that says anything on how much i hate it lol (ps the speed boat exit on Bangkok is the worst bait for SA)
when you were looking at the leaderboards to figure out where the line is drawn between real and fake - i saw the name atrioc on your screen who i know is one of the faster speed runners so i assume around that point
Another video so soon? You spoil us Mooney!
The only semi-good parts I found about the Sarajevo six:
1. A new set of dedicated Assassination challenges per target to work through
2. The speech at the end in Hokkaido.
Oh yeah. I remember struggling MIGHTILY with this one. Turns out, Propane tank + micro remote taser = easy accident kill
John Stubbs is Les grossman from tropic thunder (Tom cruise)!
I might just get the dlc because Stubbs reminds me of Avram Glazer, a co owner of Man Utd, and any opportunity to inflict pain on that man or a lookalike of him will be accepted with both hands by me.
Haha, never seen anyone using a target for a little cathartic payback on a real person but aye the Glazers are brutal. I could picture Newcastle fans doing the same thing in years gone by with Mike Ashley to be fair haha.
Have you considered voodoo?
IO does this every time. They hype up a contract like it's this great, dangerous foe and all they end up doing is walking around in a pattern and flee at the first sign of trouble. Yeah, that's really threatening.
Don't worry Mooney The Mercenary is also shocked you killed him. XD
They're some kind of non-giving-up guard guys.
"Looks like he has a beard on the back of his head." . . . That is why I shave my head.
Mooney if you're going for silent assassin you've got to turn on the indicators my dude.
I’ve been telling people for years not to get too upset over S6 being unavailable…
WHen I started to play Hitman 1 (it before release of Hitman 3, the Sarajevo 6 was actually good. Because once I reached all the mastery I was bit bored and they basically brought 6 new targets but they were not elusive. So I guess it was acutally good addition. Now? It feels blend due to fact that there are 18 or something like that maps, Elusive Target Arcades and Freelancer. Plus the other DLCs have more value (I mean the sotry ones like Seven sins).
15:34 "Colorado's never anyone's favourite level"
Incorrect. It's my favourite level. Kill everyone challenges on Colorado are highly enjoyable.
Damn, I thought the intro of the mercenary with the coordinates would finally give us a canon location for Colorado, but those coordinates are actually a field in Kansas. The state of Colorado doesn't start until 102 degrees east, not 95 as shown here
The Sarajevo Six was AWFUL.... when compared to todays contracts. It is a testament to how well the game has evolved! i was so disappointed after i completed them myself. Nice to see you feel the same way :D
An environmental terrorist is a terrorist who opposes pollution not a terrorist that targets the environment.
Also good to have some regular uploads again, nice vid as always.
Bangkok is probably my most hated lvls in all of hitman tied with Colorado
I like the Hokaido one. It's unique.
bigMooney06 is the goat of RUclips
The method to get a 1 second game is to wait 24 hours with the in game timer on, because the timer resets to zero. It’s an easy fix, just make the game fail at 23 hours, but IO still doesn’t know somehow.
He puts himself right under the coconuts
I enjoyed Bangkok. Got a 16 second SA run of it on console (ps5)
Two vids in a week. Hashtag blessed by the big man.
Sarajevo six point blank speedrun? Just to blow some steam...
I loved em back in 2016 Sarajevo six
We are blessed again
I cheesed bangkok by bumping into his wife constantly and then using a syringe while he was standing next to the fountain.
All of these were just so easy except for colorado which i spent like half an hour figuring out how the AI worked, and then gave up because the traumatic flashbacks to that one stalker escalation on colorado were getting too strong...
I especially lost my shit when the guy kept following me *after* i shot him with the sieker...
