When Nitro engines are new they can often be very tight. Whilst this is perfectly normal, it can make starting them difficult especially with pull starters. In this video I show you a few techniques to use in order to get the engine to start easier.

MORNING ALL! Hope everyone is well and has a fun weekend planned consisting of lots of things RC. Here's a tutorial on how to start a very new Nitro engine that is getting stuck at TDC (Top Dead Centre). Let me know what methods of starting a new engine you guys use down below!

I had 1 Mach 28 that had so little compression that I could pull the pullstart with my teeth, and another Mach 28 that had so much compression I seriously considered cutting holes in the combustion chamber

I had a Picco .26 in a hyper 7 that was like that. It was a long time ago and I didnt have a heat gun. Many hours later I finally got 1/2 tank through it before it was stuck again. Good times.

ive just bought the 1/8th Inferno neo3.0 Nitro , is this a hard engine to start first time as it does seem hard to pull the pullstarter off course without any fuel it probably not a good idea to be pulling on it without any lubrication i suppose but just wondering is there any special ways to go about it and im not sure but i've seen a video on running in the engine i might check out if you have any others on first starts on this particular model as i haven't had a inferno for around 20 years, cheers from Australia.
