That whole sequence at 1:22 is an IG main's dream. Nothing is more badass in the whole game than seeing 3 players stuck on the ground waiting for a monster to land and you're up there triple buffed and dash juiced just wailing on the monster 1 on 1 in their own territory.
Ahhh, Insect Glaive. I mained it through base World and into Iceborne before I branched out and started using everything. Still one of my favorites, and it’s my go-to whenever I’m fighting a big monster like Raging Brachydios. This video really shows off the potential of the bug stick. As always, you got some great shots. It was a pleasure to watch this one.
Used it during the entire Low Rank, then switched to Switch Axe and Charge Blade later on Still a good weapon to pick up and fight the elder bitch called Kushala
I'm more and more convinced that this is Mikarai's game and monsters just happen to be there. The Man really KOed Alatreon with a bug. Holy hell man that montage was awesome.
Personal story, i was searching still for my main weapon and tried IG, really liked it so started using it a lot. Then, it clicked, the moment i went to a rathalos hunt and got surrounded by him and his wife, i had no other choice but to put a fight for my life. I went on the skies again and again, evading their attacks while dancing beautifully in the air, until one of them ran away, leaving their beloved to their death. I fell in love with the weapon, i made it my own, and to this day, even when trying lance for the adrenaline of being face to face with the monster, challenging him to an honorable duel, IG has a very special place in my heart.
As a former insect glaive main, those were some smooth moves you pulled off. I hope you continue to make some of the best Monster Hunter content I have ever seen.
A few of weapons I think they made more fun to play in rise, but insect glaive is definitely one of them that the game ruined for me. I loved the dive in world, but the aerial stacking mechanic for the dive in rise is just not fun imo
Appreciating the ground combos. I always feel like a scrublord if I'm not in-air 85% of the time with Insect Glaive, but damned if it doesn't have some of the cooler ground combos as well, and if that's where I'm most comfortable... that's where I'm stayin'. I'll take the extra time not being "optimal" to make sure I get the win... and look great doing it! Not THIS great, obviously, but yanno. I-in the parking lot *of* this cool. The back of the parking lot. Waaaay out there. I can *see* this cool from there, alright?!

Playing insect glaive is an art and those who only jump spam with no ground fighting put that to shame. I hope I will be able to further refine my art for better performance and appeal
@@Mikarai oo I like watching long sword clips but I can never use it right, as for the charge blade I played it for rise it was really fun blocking all the monsters hits and giving them SAED's left and right but my favorite weapon would be the great sword, I just really like big swords and it happens to be a big sword

I'm so excited for this! I have nearly 500 hours of JUST insect Glaive in World/Iceborne I NEED to know what you use for your build. The amount of stuns and part breaks is glorious.
@@lost4356 Oh definitely. I run the necessary flight jewel, and I also will run glider mantle on monsters I want to get a lot of mounts on (Typically really jumpy ones). And then occasionally some enhancer jewels. I've been working my way towards Fatalis slowly but surely. I dropped the game for a long while and then slammed through Iceborne fairly quickly, and now am grinding to be able to actually kill Alatreon. Currently using the FF Barioth glaive
@@RosaLev9 make ice and fire kinsect for alatreon you can topple him only using kinsect and is easier than using weapon lol. spam manual kinsect R1+Y if you using controller and kinsect recharge when gauge is empty.
Man I hope Kinsect Slash from Rise makes some kind of return to the IG's Moveset in Wilds. That thing was such a Godsend for Aerial Glaive and I would miss it very much if it isn't there at all. Hyped to see what Wilds will bring to your Channel!
@@Mikarai thanks! The thing is that I also play on controller but sometimes struggle to keep the monster on the screen ( even with “Far” camera distance), and this gameplay looked so perfect!
Firstly I do wanna mention the song is “The Journey for Legends Ends,” not Memories. Aside from that, Insect Glaive has been one of my favorite weapons ever since Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate. It’s changed a lot since then, for better or worse, but I can’t stay away from it!

God, how I missed being able to just go into a Diving Wyvern at will. The Rise hunter needing the silkfly to use it was a bummer.
