My percussionists LOVED this! As a percussionist myself (you know how it be), I always pick pieces percussion heavy for my students. Thank you Mr. Standridge!!
Agreed! The timpani part is extremely fun. Even as someone who mostly plays grade 4 and 4.5 pieces now, it’s still fairly challenging with the stick movements on the solos. Love this piece!
Playing this in band at YMS! My favorite song so far! And for our winter concert we played Son of Santa the Barbarian! I play Mallet Percussion 1, and for Son of Santa the Barbarian I played Bass Drum. Thanks a lot Mr. Standridge!
I remember hearing the end of the song, and I felt so proud of myself. It was an honor to be in All County Band. This results of practice blew me away. This is the most beautiful and adventurous song I had ever heard.
I'm playing this at Sherburne Earlville MS/HS and i'm only in MS, and this is the challenge piece. I'm super excited. We also did another one of your songs. Thanks to you, I've become an amazing flute player. my teacher put me as first flute in the 7th and 8th grade class, and i'm the only 7th grade flute in the front row. You've been my greatest ally through my four years of flute playing. ❤
I love every piece you make, whenever I see your name on it I know it's fun (go bari❤) My fav part is at the beginning where the low brass and low winds get to show off
I played in my middle school band foe the Spring resightal I was percussionist I had 4 different parts on on crash and suspended symbols, the triangle, and the timpani
I remember playing baritone for this song. My band director took us to competition and as the song progressed we started playing faster and faster. Got our director her sweepstakes.
At the time of posting this comment, I'm riding home from an Indiana Honor Band rehearsal where we practiced this part. I have the most painful part: Percussion 3 and must play brake drum, wood blocks (high/low), suspended cymbal, and high-hat. Yes, that's for different percussion instruments in one song. P.S. the high-hat part is 16th notes for 16 measures straight, and the wood blocks have a similar section just before. Percussion is fun.

I just played this a few concerts ago at the "Not quite spring concert"! I loved being mallet percussion for this, it was really fun!
played this on tuesday this week for the honor band, this was a fan favorite of ours and it was so much fun to play!
I remember always being the "snare guy" in my school, but playing snare drum in this actually made me proud to hold that title.
I love every piece you make, whenever I see your name on it I know it's fun (go bari❤)

Playing this for our spring concert with honors band and symphonic band, middle school. Really nice piece.
I love the low brass part in the beginning. I play trombone and I'm the only low brass in my class. Its basically a solo for me
Nice I play the baritone saxophone
My biggest flex was playing the timpani for this, sickest thing ever!
Yes!! I'm playing xylo/marimba for this and it is so fun. It gets me going whenever we hit the percussion breaks.
Omg I'm playing timpani for this too
@@DonovanMowry-kk2iu nice !
@@DonovanMowry-kk2iu sameeeee
Same. The first time I ever played timpani was a month ago and apparently I'm good enough to be picked for this.
Timpani is cool.

Gonna use this song in my may concert
This was the first piece I ever played by Mr. Standridge!
As a person that plays trumpet and is playing song for my spring concert, I hurt at the end of each rehearsal because of the amount of articulation😭
Also the way it calms down in the middle then gets louder
I love this song I'm a trumpet player
We played this last year, it was easy and fun
You must not have played the percussion 3 part.
I actually love this piece
EASILY your best piece for grade 2.5.
Thank you, but no
@@randallstandridge what do you consider your best piece?
Mr. Standridge, what would you say is the hardest part on this piece?
I’m playing this for the Utah state fair
Afterburn?
i just did son of santa the barbarian for my school's concert and now i gotta do this. im so cooked
I played this in Chesapeake HS. I got Bb Clarinet Part 2.
Thanks so much!
Playing this in band, mallet percussion 2
I was clarinet it was fun!
No trumpet part?? :[
This is one of the hardest xylo pieces I've played, measures 69-71 I just can get right, I keep messing up 😭😭
It’s pretty easy for me. I’ve been playing for 2 years since 11th grade
I love the intro it’s unexpected at first
On Xylo for this one
real
@@rooberdoo It was pretty fun. We won a band comp in Pigeon Forge for it.
Same
As a beginner mallet percussionist measure 69 was a pain
@@MuchoM4ngo I don’t think any part of it was difficult. That’s the solo correct?
It’s just a scale pattern, really simple stuff.
Playing this in honor band got to study it
Nice I played this when I was in honor band in 2018
I like it. I play second trumpet
Rest in piece to all the percussionists in measure 69
No kidding, I know from experience
I'm about to play this at a comp at elitches in 30 min
And the way all of the instruments have the main tempo at some point
as a trumpet 2 player i despise the repetitiveness in this song since my director makes us play it over and over again ✌️
dope
W song
Hello!
Hey
why is it called Kweblekop?? 🤣
