The successive shots of her falling down from her childhood to adulthood and then at the end getting back up, that's what makes this trailer for me, those shots say more about the character than anything, that Carol Danvers is someone whom for all of her life has been knocked down but gets right back up - it speaks to her strength and her persistence, and that's exactly what they needed to show in this trailer - this is Carol Danvers, she's not going to just stay down
To quote Tony Stark.....Finally, someone who speaks English!
God I can't wait to see this movie. I never thought we would see Carol Danvers in a movie. She is my favorite female comic character and one of my favorite comic characters of all time.
I loved that the trailer showed how every time in her life that she fell down, she got right back up. It's her version of Captain America's "I can do this all day!"
I'm sure you guys were hounded by people to get this reaction out, so thank you! we do appreciate you guys a lot and hopefully no one was too aggressive.

@Αλέξης Ανδρικόπουλος i was clarifying his complaint that Hulk is supposed to be the strongest. Hulk is STILL the strongest. Kevin Feige only stated that Captain Marvel will be the most powerful.
This may have something to do with her all around powerset. Flight, Speed, Super Strength, Energy manipulation.

There a few reactors who didn't like the Teaser because they think Brie Larson is expressionless. but I think they missed the point, she said she keep having memories she don't know whether it's real, emotionally distance is what someone like her is suppose to feel. Confusion, strange but familiar.
BioCapsule yes! Thank you. It’s sooo tiring reading all these stupid ass comments saying oh she has no reaction she’s not smiling. If she was smiling too much then people would be all like why she smiling there’s a war going on with shapeshifters, she needs to be serious.
If anything, she reminds me of Kurt Russell's character in the 1998 movie 'soldier'. It a character type that doesn't show much expression most of the time. I bet if it's Kurt Russell doing it, they wouldn't be calling it "resting bitch face".

The cat in the comics is called a Flerken, it's an alien that just looks like a cat. It lives with Carol.

It will be interesting to see how Marvel start the marketing for Avengers 4 without spoiling or taking away from Captain marvel given how closely they will be coming out
I love this teaser trailer. It reminds me of the Dr. Strange teaser trailer with the quick before and after scenes. Very well done! Can’t wait to see Captain Marvel.

It certainly wasn’t the most “hype” trailer by any means, but it’s not supposed to be either. It’s a teaser. It’s 6 months away from release, so it’s more of a reminder to those who may not follow MCU news that this film is coming, and to get a basic gist of the character and who Carol is. So while he trailer itself is pretty “meh,” for most of us, it’s doing it’s job perfectly. I’m sure the next trailer(s) will be “hype” material, but honestly l...I just want to see the film.

At the end I think she's talking to Monica and Maria Rambeu at the end of the trailer it's the 90s so Monica is a young girl but may become Photon/Spectre/Captain Marvel in the future phases

I think this trailer is a full on character study, more so than the first Black Panther trailer which was shared with an introduction of Wakanda. We haven’t had that since Ant Man.
This teaser definitely focused on the character as opposed to explosions and action which I enjoyed. Marvel seemed to hold a lot back unlike previous teasers which is a positive for me.

It’s bad news when BLOCKBUSTER is my biggest reaction to a marvel trailer. Her saying “I’m not what you think I am” just made me shake my head

Feels like a scifi movie instead of a super hero movie. And that's a GOOD thing. After 20+ movies the formula is repetitive. I'm getting Starman and Contact vibes for some reason.
People don't understand how film production works. Any of you notice how there were little to no action shots in this movie? Why we only saw Nick fury's face once? Why we only saw a short glimpse of the skrulls? The special effects (and the movie no less) are nowhere close to being done enough to be in a trailer. Just wait people goddamn. People have become so impatient....now I see why marvel waited so long....
That's the funny thing because it's because of Marvel's patience and actual care for these characters and stories is why they become the Juggernaut they are today yet the people who watch them as you said are just so impatient it's ridiculous.

its cool that captain marvel is probably gonna replace captain america and its really cool that steves phase is "i can do this all day" and in this trailer we see a multiple shots of captain marvel standing up which reminds you of steve.
For a first trailer it looks good. The trailer kind of showed what to expect by not giving anything away.

I think based on what we saw that this film will be about a soldier who has to wrestle with her conscious. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say Cap Marvel ends up on Earth because Ronan is hunting Skrulls, but Captain Marvel will come to find out they are just refugees just trying to hide. Like, if the Skrull Grandma in the subway were a Warrior, and saw the Kree uniform, they wouldn't just sit there and smile politely, they would get in a defensive position and attack, but they just sit there and take the punch. So yeah, my money is on Skrulls not really being the badguys, they just want to escape a bad situation, the majority of them not even being soldiers, and some of them taking on perhaps some familiar faces and a deal being struck with SHIELD. They also made a point to make the Skrulls have softer features in their original forms, to look more like elves, so I have to think that's because on some level they want the audience to connect with them and see them more like people.
Looks like we'll finally get a good Green Lantern Movie...

I don’t think we are going to see any “fish-out-of-water-vibes” from Carol. I think the movie is going to open with the introduction of the Kerr-Skrull War, and in the Kree’s initiative to weed out Skrulls, Carol is sent to her home world. Albeit inadvertently through a crash landing, I feel like that scene where she walks into the train station is her looking for Skrulls, I think the whole movie is going to be Carol on a manhunt for Skrulls to hammer in the reality of the Secret Invasion
I'm okay with the trailer being underwhelming cause I know Marvel always deliver in the movie itself.

I bet they do the origin a little differently. The explosion origin is a little wierd, DNA getting fused together. This trailer almost looks like "alien abduction", like she was a fighter pilot that got taken by the Kree. Gets put under treatments, and then is super powered.
I saw a frame of the trailer where there is a blue explosion in front of Carol and she goes flying back in slow motion. She is wearing her air force uniform.
This trailer was badass, in my opinion.
I'm hyped for the movie.

I think the best parallel is how they did in Man of Steel.. The film kinda started off with Henry Cavill be Superman and through flashbacks we saw his journey's inception and then the full closure.

Emily's excitement made me excited for this. It was absolutely infectious.
Not that I wasn't looking forward to it or anything, just Captain Marvel has never been a character I followed super closely before.
Now though, definitely feeling more hyped about it.
I believe Kevin Feige compared this movie to the Terminator 2 and this trailer makes me think that it might actually be kind of a combination of terminator one and two but instead of coming back in the second re-programmed to be a good guy she thinks she’s an alien for the first part and then realizes that she’s from earth and has to save it midway through.
I could be completely wrong and I’m sure I’ll love the movie no matter what but wouldn’t it be interesting to have a superhero movie where the superhero is kind of a villain for the first part of the film. If my theory is correct I think this is why some of the haters are jumping on her lack of expression in some clips. BUT in those clips she’s not playing Carol Danvers or Captain Marvel she’s actually playing a Kree soldier infiltrating earth searching for Skrulls. With Ronan and Korath in the film I think it’s safe to say she’s definitely not Team Pro-Earth in the beginning.
They are definitely changing stuff from the comics a lot but the look of it reminds me of the Kelly Sue DeConnick and Margaret Stohl runs so I’m happy thus far.
I also think the second trailer or full trailer will showcase more of the humor that supposed to be in this. They’ve been saying it’s vibe is 90s action comedy.

I don't know too much about Captain Marvel, but she's always been a character I've been looking forward to seeing in the big screen because of how tied to Rogue's origin she is. She looks badass. Can't wait to see this movie!

There is a theory that Loki actually survived by shape shifting into Baner and escaping to earth. Which would explain why Hulk never came out in the movie. Bruce/Hulk is still stuck on that alien ship in space while Loki disguised as Bruce is on earth. That whole thing with Hulk fighting Baner and not wanting to come out is Lokis way of tricking every1 around him. Also that line from Bruce buster - You guys are so screwed now! - Exited after seeing his brother return knowing the odds have been even out a bit.

gonna be interesting if the shows for loki and scarlet witch are true i could be wrong i just haven't seen an official announcement yet but I am really excited for them so many things they could do and flesh out so many great characters who wouldn't get their own movies.

Yes, from the trailer at least , Denver was a pilot who made a contact with a Criet ship and they crash , then there's an explosion give her power , I assume they picked her up and she joined the star force , then she comeback to earth with her memory basically wiped our ( maybe that shot when she was upside down is removing her memory? )
Great reaction guys. It's nice to see people actually being positive as opposed to the hate-filled sexist/racist channels like Geeks and Gamers, The Quartering and Diversity and Comics who seem to hate on anything that isn't a white male.
I personally loved the trailer. Would've loved to see her in the blue and red costume a bit more. Maybe see her with her family (Her parents and brother were cast). I think the old lady is a skrull. There's a dead skrull body on the operating table at 4:36. Maybe it's her?
People seem worried that Brie Larson in the trailer has the emotional range of a block of cement, but tbh i don't think they were going to show emotional scenes in the trailers to begin with, or not in the first one at least. I think they'll save that for Comic Con
People are worried that toast gives them cancer, people are idiots. 7 shots of a face don't make a character.
