Carolina would smoke 8 of the current top 12 on a neutral field. If you don’t know this you don’t know much. SC is clearly better than Tennessee, clearly better than Texas and probably on or near the same level as GA right now. The only real difference weighing on these teams is SOS. Tennessee, TX, MS have weak schedules and yet MS still found a way to lose 3. TX has only played one very good team and got smoked. Tenn has one quality win over Bama. A win that’s looking less impressive every week.
Bro sc played 6 top 25 teams will be 7 against clemson. #7 sos, a win stolen at lsu. Sc should be at worst 9-2 right now. But they are 9-3 with a combined 5 pts between bama and lsu both ranked teams when played them. Sc gas no losses to any bad teams. So sc should absolutely be in the playoffs if they beat clemson
"Most deserving is not anything in the committee’s lexicon. They are to rank the best teams in order, and that’s what they do. Just keep that word in mind: best teams" -- CFP director Bill Hancock. South Carolina should be in because they're among the BEST teams. This is a ranking, not a standing. We don't need a committee to determine the CFB standings.
MS and AL both eliminated themselves by losing to unranked opponents late in the year. When you lose matters. How you lose matters. Not all win/loss records are the same. Rankings are not a reflection of what you have done. Several teams are ranked very high and have not put a single quality win on the resume. TX, IN, Clemson, all have no quality wins. Zero. They all have bad losses.
Maintain the integrity of a high school schedule? Ignore context such as injuries at the time of a particular game or young players developing? Just don't lose, and you're the best? Just trying to make sure I understand what it means to protect the integrity of the game.
#1, there is no East coast Death Valley... there is only one and that is in Baton Rouge. #2, I have ZERO confidence in the CFP committee to make any rational, logical decisions. There is no doubt in my mind that right now, Carolina is one of the best 12 teams in the country - if not in the top 10. After this weekend with Miami losing Miami should be OUT because they played a shit schedule. If there is any logic to including the "best" teams in the CFP, there is a really strong argument that very few teams are playing better in the last half of the season than South Carolina - 6 straight wins, most on the road, and several against ranked teams. We beat #12 Clemson - so how much do we jump in the CFP rankings ? Surely we should be at LEAST 12th if not higher.... But again I have little faith in the integrity of that bunch of bozos on the CFP committee. What a shame and a travesty this is !
If you think the teams are the same as when South Carolina and Ole Miss played each other, you are delusional. South Carolina's offense has improved lightyears from where they were at the beginning of october.
RANKINGS ARE NOT A REFLECTON OF WHO YOU BEAT AND WHO YOU LOSE TO IS A REFLECTION OF HOW YOU BEAT TJE TEAMS AND LOSE TO THE TEAMS ON YOUR SCHEDULE, AND THAT SCHEDULE IS THE SECOND FAXTOR IN DETERMINIBG WHEREHU WILK SITBIN THOSE RANKINGS. SOUTH CAROLINA HAS A SUPER TOUGH SCHEDULE. TEAMS LIKE NOTRE DAME AND BOISE STATE AND ARIZONA HAVE A SCHEDULE NOWHERE CLOSE TO TO SOUTH CAROLINA. COME ON BRO
I don't understand your argument. Ole miss loss to 2 unranked teams. SC losses were to (at the time) #16, #12 & #7. Yes I agree that head to head has to count for something, but so does who you lose too and when. A win over Clemson should vault SC above Bama & Ole Miss. Whether or not that gets them into the playoffs depends on what happens with 1-11.🤔
So discount South Carolina for 1 bad loss to Ole Miss but not Notre Dame loosing to Northern Illinois?!? You made the LSU argument yourself that it was a BS loss. So a double digit loss to Ole Miss and a 2 point loss to Alabama on the road isn’t better than Notre Dame 1 terrible loss? At the end of the day if you want the 12 best teams South Carolina is deserving with another win at Clemson.
I've discussed ND at length on the show--10-2 and they should absolutely be left out. But since you love SEC wins so much, doesn't that road win @ TAMU mean a lot?
You set it yourself South Carolina shouldn't be a three lost team and I lost to Ole Miss is a lot better than a loss of Kentucky. Ole Miss and Alabama beat Georgia as well. If you switched Alabama and South Carolina resume you will be pulling for Alabama to go into the championship playoffs just off helmet bias
I’m sorry but SOS should matter just as much, if not MORE than H2H. Kinda crazy to me
This.
So having one of the hardest schedules in the nation, doesn't matter? Big 0 only has 4 teams with winning records, yet all 4 get in? Cmon man!
Complete garbage. The CFP is playing with fire if it does that. They will do very serious damage to any reputation it might otherwise enjoy.

Forgetting that the ole miss loss included an injured qb and rb who played through injuries the whole game for sc

Just played like a playoff team today in a place that not many come away victorious.

Name 12 teams you would bet big money on against sc.

Dude is hate farming

Results still matter, friend.
