Last season was tough finishing 5-7, no bowl game, Rattler going to the NFL… Although we probably won’t make the CFP, we have an opportunity to win 10 games this year (in a bowl game) and we made strong impact on potential recruits. I’m optimistic that good things will continue to happen the next few seasons.

We need to get out there every game and just beat the living hell out of everybody, wherever it is, whoever it is, whenever it is. We’ll have the guys to do it, too. The entire team needs to go out every Saturday with something devastating to prove to everyone who doubted us this season.

Transfer portal gave a coach to get experience player for their system rather then wait and developed. It will be hard for NFL scout to get a good report on player due to player moving thru transfer portal
i think that portal helps the NFL scouts more than anything. all these dogs (example: demetrius knight and kyle kennard) play in smaller weaker conferences early in their career bc they don’t have many offers and they get developed before they can come to a team like south carolina in a power house conference with national recognition. they would’ve never gotten the recognition from the smaller school they were committed to before entering the portal. just think about it kyle kennard was pretty much under the radar (but still very good) his first 3 years in college and transferred to south carolina to get more recognition for playing in the SEC and 8 months later he’s a projected 1st round pick. It’s great for the players and the NFL scouts imo

There's no such thing as an elite bowl game anymore if you're not in the playoffs. Bowl games are a joke now and should be a thing of the past. All they do is put players in a bad position of having to piss their fans off or risk injury in a meaningless game.
Lanorris, Eman,Mazeo, and DQ weren't 5 stars, and they're ballers. Some guys are late bloomers or go under the radar in high school. Most 5 stars are busts. Remember, Beamer helped bring in all the talent on those 2010's teams. The dude has an eye for talent.

Read an analysis by a huge consulting firm that five star players are forty times more likely to get drafted to the League. Four star players are thirty times more likely to go. Bama, UGA, Canes from the early 2000’s have and had huge % of future NFL starters. S Carolina won the most when they had the most in its history as well.
