Thank you so much for this amazing series of videos, finally here is some very informative and professionally done videos on an iconic Australian V8 engine. Sir I hope that you continue to make more amazing videos. All the best.Regards.
Thanks very much for the good videos. My question is my 308 is stripped down for a rebuild. My motor will only be used on the street for mostly normal driving. Is this modification really necessary for my application. I would really like decent oil pressure when hot at idle as this will ensure the motor last. In the past I have relied on thicker oils to help bump up the pressure. I would appreciate your input. Thanks
Edge orifice solid lifters and the cam bearings installed correctly works pretty good too, oil flows to the path of least resistance so if your clearances are loose then that's were the oils leaking ,good info for higher end engines but obviously these mods should be left to experienced engine guys, good post

I liked the addition of information to the description it was a good read, thanks
I don't know why, but old mate talking about the typical lifter tick on startup made me chuckle a bit. Love my 5Ls. Even with all their faults
Another excellent video. Thank you for the detailed explanation.
Another great video! Thanks for your insight! Awesome!
what size is the restrictor hole
+1 on the oil restrictor size- I'd love to do this as opposed to the massively overcomplicated way...
great video would like to know what size restrictor to use on number 4 cam or what size hole should be drilled so I dont need a restrictor
Niiiiic I assume we are already running high volume oil pump…..?
