Anyways, congratulations on beating Judgment! I’m happy that you really enjoyed the game. I hope this become long running series of it’s own, just like Yakuza. And I agree the English dub is really well done, and the voice actors did excellent not only portraying their characters to the fullest, but also matching the lip syncing perfectly. It’s rare for a game to have that kind of quality. The story (to me) feels fresh, I felt drawn in as a mystery fanatic, while being a long time fan of the Yakuza series. The characters like Yagami & Kaito grew on me. Every character (if not all) felt like they fit right at home in Judgment. Finally the ending is satisfying, I’m happy to see Okubo being set free after three years of false charges, Sugiura reunited with him and promising themselves to visit Emi’s grave, Hoshino & Saori now officially a couple with Genda-sensei’s blessing, and Yagami continuing his detective agency with Kaito with Mafuyu’s support, even though her and Kaito want him to go back to being a lawyer.
The gameplay is nothing special to me, but nothing boring either. I don’t mind the Drone mechanics for investigation, but I do enjoy the racing drone mini game along with VR Car Dice game. The tailing does get repetitive later on, I didn’t like having to fight the Keihein Gang when you receive a text message that they’re in Kamurocho. I felt that it also gets irritating later on in the game. I understand it a way to get SPs and ingredients for extract items, but still. The side cases are fun to do, not to mention some of them are down right hilarious and ridiculously corny, like the Twisted Trio cases.
Overall, as I said to you in a previous episode it’s a welcoming entry in the Yakuza series. I really had fun playing Judgment and I’ll definitely play it again in the future, and I hope people give this game a chance for what it’s worth. Once again congratulations on beating Judgment, and I really look forward to your playthrough of the Yakuza series.
Btw, to answer your question about the syringe that Kuroiwa injected himself with. I believe it’s a amphetamine drug enhancer. From what I researched online, it increase the metabolism of the body, making the person heal faster. It also increases the adrenaline, which results in reduce bleeding, heightens focus, etc. And the muscle goes into overdrive, which makes them withstand wounds and injuries much longer. Mainly those kinds of powerful stimulant drugs are used in the military. In the Fallout series, they have something similar called a Stimpak, which mainly heals your wounds.

I just love the gamer mentality of, "I don't want to waste this health item because I might need it later." Especially when you know it's the final boss and fight of the game. I loved this game so much. Finished playing it and can't wait for the sequel. Your walkthrough was immensely enjoyable and had me laughing from time to time as well. Can't wait to play Lost Judgment and see you play it too.

This was a great playthrough to watch. It's fun to view the series through a newcomers eyes and I look forward to your take on the Yakuza games. Judgment's a great entry to the series and I thought the ending was great, though I was a little surprised Yagami didn't go back to being a lawyer as it seemed like the perfect excuse for his skills to reset if they make a sequel and want to justify going back to square one with that.

I just gotta say, as a fairly recent fan of the series (picked up Yakuza 0 in 2017), it does my heart good to know you'll be playing the rest of the series in the future. They're shockingly consistent and 0 is my favorite game of this generation full stop. Looking forward to future RGG excursions!

I was halve expecting Sayori's BF to died since he the youngest character & these type of storylines have a bad habit of killing off the youngest everytime. but instead everyone lived I'm so happy.

Man, this game. This game hits all the feels. Funny, heartwarming, nightmarish, action-packed, mini-games, almost everything! Even the characters are very likable!
Congrats on finishing this game. Honestly, I kinda hope Kuroiwa would stay alive, he could've been the Professor Moriarty to Yagami's Sherlock Holmes. Every great detective needs a nemesis, right?
I really hope they do make a sequel to this game, it's way too good to make it just a single game. Also, what music did you use for the end credits?

This game was packaged like the Japanese drama you see on TV. They rarely go multiple seasons as they're mostly one-and-done, not because of the lack of ratings but they see no point in making stories that span to multiple seasons when they can convey the message in just a running of 10-13 episodes (standard J-drama season length).
Not to say a sequel is not possible but it's just how they like to do it.
@@romiarkan450 True, though this is made by Ryu Ga Gotoku studio. I'm sure they'll find a way to make a good sequel. If not, then hey. At least they pretty much leave it on a high note. I can't stress enough how great the finale was. 👍

That was a great playthrough! ^_^ I didn't comment a lot in the last few episodes, as things were so intense that I would probably have only commented in exclamation marks! xD That was a chilling performance by Matt Mercer by the way, he was pretty much the best villain in a game in a long, long while. :O

Congratulations one finishing this game! While I didn’t see all of this video, I did see the final boss fight and some of the scenes after it. I love this game so much and I really hope they make a sequel eventually! The Yakuza studio made an amazing detective/noir game, which isn’t seen a lot in the industry, and I loved Yagami as the protagonist, who is a lot more grounded than the previous protagonist to fit the noir theme better. The ending was so heartwarming and touching , especially with Okubo and Sugiura talking and the sweet and funny conclusion! I can’t wait to see you try the Yakuza series and I’ll see you in the next video! 😎😊❤️

Throughout that entire final boss fight you were insistent on not making sure you're fully healed keeping yourself close to the red, not fixing your broken health(Until he came dangerously close to beating you), and being hesitant on using the vast amount of healing items you had, which was incredibly ballsy but also reckless. When I fought him I was on hard mode and I wasn't as prepared as you,refused to use the sofas around me(Final boss fights I prefer to fight hand to hand) and only had one healing item left when I finally beat him so it was a little bit crazy to me that you seemed so scared to make use of all your healing items and only kept yourself healed to a little above the red instead of max or half way health.
It's all good though it was entertaining all the same. Just never seen someone so scared to fight and keep themselves healed, but it all makes sense considering I'm assuming this was your first time with this franchise.
To this day, this is still the only Yakuza series game where they actually shot the antagonist and he didn't kill anyone during the scene where he died.
well he technically killed a lot of people in that time period(all those cops, guards, doctors and scientists), just not exactly when they confronted him. He was still trying to kill Shono

That guy got freaking super serum. He just went ULTRA INSTINCT. he's even got the colours. Lol. 35:14 Look at the glow around him lol. And he got the abilities as you said he dodges every single attack after that this is what Goku does too lol. He only misses 2 things mastered ultra instinct with the white wig.

I sat and rewatched all your Judgement videos. Tbh, maybe you think that their substories are bad, but from their PoV, it's understandable.

Just wish Shono's self-injection of the AD-9 drug that drove him to commit suicide had his retinas in his eyes blow out themselves and see his gruesome dead corpse look like that. Now that would be sick. Seeing a chickenshit antagonist in the Yakuza series die a gory death like that.
That would be a little too much. Maybe his eyes could have bled while he screamed, that would be a little more realistic.

Congrats on finishing this game! Now I don't want to hype you too much for Yakuza 0 but I gotta say the story of that one is just as good as this! You're gonna have a blast, for sure! I dunno if you already played or like it but I recommend Heavy Rain or Detroit Become Human for some drama like that lol

It'll be interesting to see you play Yakuza 0. A lot of it is the same (gameplay, location etc) but it has a completly different cast and story. They're all great!

Number one thing I absolutely hated about this game was the tailing sequences. If we ever get a sequel I hope they figure out how to make this flow better and not be such a drag.

And even though I can't speak Japanese, just by tone, inflection, and delivery, I can tell the Japanese audio is just superiorly acted!

You never know when these games actually end. There were and still are a couple of times when presumably final bosses are not the actual final bosses. Tendo in 7, Kyoya in Kaito Files, that sword dude in Kenzan(forgot his name).

I love the Yakuza games, but I feel like this is the best game in this series so far. This might be a hot take, but I like Yagami more than kiryu. I love kiryu, but his personality got a little tiresome, his constant serious tone was kinda boring, I felt like I knew everything he was gonna say. Yagami is much more enjoyable to play as and watch in my opinion.
Unfortunately I have to agree I found him a bit grating towards the end of 5 and 6 even though I still love the character. I also found some of his decisions nonsensical too. Also I guess it didn't help that with each new game after 2 I found it harder and harder to believe he could lose to the main antagonist/villians. I kept thinking that kiryu has fought tougher while he was literally dying. Judgement felt like a breath of fresh air to be honest.
@@mr.protagonist5639 Couldn't have said it better myself. His games became a bit too formulaic. Also Kiryu isn't even the best character in his own games. I liked akiyama, majima and saejima more. Because they were more unpredictable.
