I think the hardware factor can get blown out of proportion. Russell is the greatest winner with 11 championships but no one would put him over Jordan with 6 rings. Big Ben has 2 rings, but he wasn't a better QB than Marino with no rings. In terms of just pure talent, it's hard to argue that Rodgers isn't right there. comparing different positions can be downright impossible. IN terms of eliteness, Mahomes is a Lawrence Taylor, Ed Reed, or Barry Sanders kind of once in a lifetime talent. But saying he's the outright best player ever is kind of dumb. I mean, can you honestly say Mahomes is a better player than Lawrence Taylor when their roles can't be compared?
